I can't say enough good things about the Barnacle Inn. I planned a getaway trip for the end of Sept, just the two of us without our young toddlers, for my husband's 40th birthday and stayed here Monday through Friday. We had SUCH an amazing time, all thanks to our wonderful hosts and the great B+B itself! Here are the things I loved the most:1) Location - this place is only 2 blocks from the top of downtown Nantucket - you can walk to all the shops, restaurants, ferry, museums, and even to a couple of beaches!2) Service/Hosts - it wasn't just a place to stay, the hosts were ALWAYS there to answer our questions and help us figure out a plan for the day and where to go. They were kind, fun to talk to, and always had a plate of freshly baked cookies available. Even though we booked a small room without a bathroom (for $199/night special deal), they actually gave us a large choice of which room to stay in when we arrived since there was a storm and a few folks had to cancel - so we ended up getting a great room upgrade!3) Quaint environment - really enjoyed having breakfast in the courtyard every morning, and one day we had a free afternoon so my husband went shopping by himself while I sat in the courtyard reading in the sunshine.I feel really lucky that I was able to book the Barnacle Inn and for the low price that I got. It was a great deal that is most likely unmatched anywhere on the island, and I honestly cannot wait to find another excuse to come back (hopefully next time it will be in the summer and not fall)!

Had the chance to stay at this beautiful paradise this week while visiting some friends and I must say this is a special bed and breakfast. The staff is kind, room was clean, establishment is historic and the location couldn t be more perfect. Loved being able to walk to town to check out the shops and restaurants. The barnacle juice is also delicious during breakfast service. You can tell the Owner and staff do a great job at taking care of the place with upgrades, while still capturing the 1920 s history. Can t wait to go back!

My wife and I stayed hear while visiting from NC. We had a great experience. We stayed in the Harmony room which was clean and well appointed. Suzie and her staff did a fantastic job making us feel right at home! Breakfast in the courtyard each morning was delicious and very relaxing. The location of the inn is fantastic and we were able to walk to all of the restaurants and shopping on Main St. Highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next trip to Nantucket.

How do I start, this was an amazing stay for myself and my fianc who does work for the island. We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown around. Our room was perfect and fit two adults comfortably. The Inn has beach towels and chairs for the guests to use for the day as well as a beautiful outdoor patio to sit outside. I was able to read out there as well as enjoy a delicious breakfast. The staff were so nice and were very helpful. Also at night, delicious warm homemade cookies are out for guests to snack on. The inn is right next to town for easy access to the shops and restaurants. 10/10! I hopeto come back soon.

I stumbled upon The Barnacle Inn looking for a last minute place to stay to extend my trip on Nantucket. Suzie provided incredible hospitality! I was greeted with open arms as if I had stayed a dozen times before. The inn is very charming, in a great location in town, and provided a full complimentary breakfast. I would highly recommend The Barnacle Inn and would stay again the next time I m on the Island!Walkability: Right off Main Street! Excellent location!

The absolute best B&B experience and oh so charming! Sylvie was so kind and hospitable to help assist us with transportation questions and complimentary umbrellas on the rainy days. Anthony, the chef, prepared the most delightful breakfasts for us out on the veranda. He made the best croissant I have ever had, and his blueberry bread is delicious! It's also in a prime location right off of most of the main shops making it easy to walk to dinner and shop. The bathrooms had been recently redone and the rooms were charming. We hope to be back very soon and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This was my second stay at the Barnacle Inn. I feel so fortunate to have found this lovely family owned Bed and Breakfast! You literally can not find a better location and street. Cleanliness is top notch, the owners, Ken and Suzie are extremely caring and every morning you are served a wonderful 5 star breakfast in the beautiful garden out front. You can walk anywhere downtown within 5-10 minutes from the front gate of the Inn. I have loved staying there and will continue returning, along with the many returning guests I met on both trips. You won't regret your stay! A+++

Suzie was very friendly. She showed me all the free rooms in the house and I could choose the one I wanted regardless of the booking. They have fresh warm pastries for breakfast that were really tasty. I also appreciated the nice large beach towels. Stayed 3 nights. When I asked the last morning to get more than just 2 pieces of pastries, the girl told me these are kind of counted to the number of guests and I just got a small fresh roll instead. Anyway, would definitely recommend this place and looking forward to returning.

The Barnacle Inn exceeded expectations yet again. We were welcomed again like family. Phil and Suzie are so kind and vibrant; eager to share their island with guests. We love relaxing in the large garden in the morning while we drink our coffee and eat our breakfast pastries. The owners leave so many thoughtful touches for guests; such as the fresh flowers in the rooms and about in the Inn. The fresh baked cookies are a well-loved tradition as well. Every year I enjoy hearing more history of the Island and the Barnacle Inn from the owners. If you re reading this and thinking about staying here, go for it.See you next year Phil & Suzie!!

My family had an amazing stay at the Barnacle Inn. The owner was extremely kind an accommodating. The wifi was fast enough for most reasonable applications and each room had it's own air conditioning unit. The entire building was clean and has a "comfy" atmosphere. The inn is also located only a few hundred feet from Main St., away from commotion but well within walking distance of everything in town.I would highly recommend a stay here, and hope to visit again in the future.

20th anniversary and I ve never been to Nantucket. I was intrigued by the reviews and the location of the Barnicle inn. I never thought I d receive this level of service. Not only is the Barnicle Inn a beautiful, spacious and ultra clean place... the family that runs this inn are phenomenal. Especially Suzie. I was taken back at her hospitality. A hand written anniversary card placed under my door was ridiculously thoughtful. A beautiful Complimentary breakfast in bed tray delivered to my room each morning with a fresh cut rose was delightful. Garden area is quiet and very comfortable and the location is perfect!! Now I m not a romantic guy but when my wife saw this breakfast display I quickly became the dude in the notebook . Thank you Suzie and family for making my anniversary one to remember. Sincerely JH

We had another lovely stay at the Barnacle Inn. The location can't be beat--right around the corner from Murray's and all the shops and restaurants on Main St.. Our room (Harmony) was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The staff is warm and cheerful, and the delightful breakfast (pastries, coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, and cheese) was absolutely perfect before heading out to the beach! We look forward to returning to the Barnacle soon. For us, it is part of what makes Nantucket so charming and special.

I stayed at the Barnacle Inn with my boyfriend this past weekend and we had an absolutely incredible time. I can say that when we go back to Nantucket next year we will be sure to stay there again. First off the inn was a stone throw from downtown, which made it easy to carry our bags to once we got off the ferry. Once we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and asked for some recommendations on the island and they delivered. Our room was super cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast provided in the morning was fresh and served on cute platters that are 100% instagram worthy. Overall, I highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity. Also, I can t forget to mention how good the fresh baked cookies they put out every afternoon are!

We ve been staying at the Barnacle Inn for 33 years. It s family run and on its third generation. It s the perfect location in town. It s close to everything. It s clean. It s well maintained. It has unparalleled charm and character. Fresh baked pastries, fruit, yogurt and assorted fair served on the quaint patio for breakfast and homemade fresh out of the oven cookies in the afternoon. It s the best.

The rooms are spacious, the service is great especially the hospitality of all the staff. The location is perfect. The location is great, about 2-3 minute to main street, 18 minute walk to brant point lighthouse, 5 minute walk to the nantucket pharmacy, 8-10 minute walk to the nantucket stop and shop and Patagonia. Also the location to the resturaunts is walkable to many popular resturaunts. I recommend B.Y.B, Cru, Club Car, and if you have money to spend on dinner that is the best you will ever have go to Straight Warf. They do 2 course meals for $78 dollars and dessert is al LA carte so be for warned(it's worth every penny). Also if you need a taxi or recommendations Susie, her husband, or any of the other staff can give you some of their favorite places they recommend and call for a ride if need be. The church across the street is beautiful if you have a chance to go in. The historical society building is a minute walk to the left when you leave the property. The nantucket bookstore is a gem to visit. Thank you to the staff and Susie for giving my family, my girlfriend and I the family welcome and treatment. My parents and I have been going to their place for the last several years and they have been very nice, clean, and very giving. Thanks again and hope we will be returning.

Great Bed and Breakfast in Nantucket. The grounds are so beautiful, the hosts are so lovely and helpful, they offer a great breakfast you can have in the garden. The hotel is right off the Main Street in town and a ~5 min walk from the ferry.

I had an absolutely lovely 3 night stay here. The inn is very comfortable, well located and close to town but just far enough away that it s peaceful and quiet. Every attention to detail is made; from delicious (and plentiful) breakfast each morning to cookies in the afternoon, beach towels in each room, and friendly hosts and staff! Thank you!

Adorable and quaint little bed and breakfast. It s just around the corner from downtown area and wharf, which we walked down to every night . My favorite part was being served breakfast one the front porch each morning and listening to the church bells ring on the hour. Suzie and her staff are very sweet and very accommodating. I highly recommend.

My friend's wedding party/guests took over this inn on Labor Day weekend. Phil and Suzie are wonderful along with their staff. The room was comfy and clean, breakfast was homemade and they brought it to your room if you didn't make it down in time. It's a great location. On a quiet little street with a quick walk to downtown. When I make my plans to visit the island again, this will surely be my first search.

I spent just one night at the Barnacle Inn, but I am certain I will return again. I would easily recommend the Inn to friends and family. The rooms I saw were clean and the bed comfortable. The whole house was really nice and the location just of Main. I had a very nice breakfast on the porch. The rates are quite fair and the innkeepers friendly. What's not to like?

Great place to stay on Nantucket. Amazing location to access town and outskirts of town. Suzie is an awesome host and makes you feel welcome. The adirondack chairs in the front yard are great to enjoy a bottle of wine with friends on a summer evening. Are there nicer hotels? Of course, but you will pay for them. This is a great comfortable stay at a fair price.

What a charm! The breakfast is the best: fresh fruit, juice, coffee/tea or hot chocolate, freshly baked goods (cake, muffin, roll), cheese and yogurt - all brought out to the patio for the guests. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, and we loved the afternoon (freshly baked!) cookies.

this year was our 25th father/daughter trip to nantucket, the last 3 years we have stayed with suzie and phil at the barnacle inn. like nantucket itself, the inn is charming and comfortable, located a few steps off main street at the top of the hill. breakfast on the patio is a relaxing beginning to your day. rooms are impeccably well-kept and comfortable. the kiendls are gracious hosts with a wealth of island knowledge to share. we are looking forward to continuing our nantucket tradition at the barnacle inn next year !

If I could give The Barnacle Inn 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat. This is an incredibly peaceful, respectful, and welcoming place to stay in Nantucket. It s unlike anything I ve experienced before. The immediate feeling you get when you arrive here is a sense of belonging. It s so incredibly beautiful and the staff work so hard to ensure the guests are always exceptionally satisfied. They wake up before dawn to start organizing everyone s complimentary breakfast with absolute perfection. I did not want to leave. Anna Grace is the kindest and most welcoming host. The historic appeal is overwhelmingly charming. It s perfect for a two min walk to downtown. I will ONLY stay here from now on.
