ACK gets the job done. Sort of feels like the original airport in Santa Barbara, CA - small and friendly. Arrivals/luggage is efficient, easy curbside drop off and pickup, check in is fun with all the airlines in the same area (same with the waiting area for the flights). Only downside is the security line which can get long for no real reason. Room for improvement there.

We flew in on a TBM from PA. Wind put a few bumps in approach. Beautiful day. Cool and dry. Flew in for business so we didn't get off of the airport. FBO and employees are very courteous and professional. Very clean and two stories high. Wifi, snacks and beverages available. FBO has two busses, golf carts and carts for luggage. There are taxis, lyft, uber and car rentals. Airport is very busy between June and August.

Great airport. I flew on this nice local airline owned by two brothers, had a great lunch at this counter owned by a cellist from Texas, and had a wonderful conversation with this taxi driver about his native Italy.Just avoid flying Aeromas - they are owned by a real slimeball.

Quaint smaller airport. Very nice place. Check in fairly easy, 2nd time here, easy transition. Sos here we are again at my favorite destination. Love this airport its such an easy process here.

Really nice place, love the decorations- second bathroom not great, sink very clogged and slow and some mold behind toilet near tub . Makeup mirrors did not light and placement didn t work fireplace pilot light was out- but engineers came quickly to fix after person in phone mistakenly said we should have a remote- restaurant was great for dinner and small bfest included was good- some fruit would be nice though- wine and cheese not great- it was very hard for an older female concierge to tell us where to get a lobster role!?! But when she finally did it was a great place. Shuttle drivers were great- comfy beds abd pillows- last night cleanning person came and asked if we wanted turn down service which we needed- she was obviously disappointed that we said yes and ended up never coming- we had to call for water, cream and towels which is really not ok when you pay almost $5000 for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cottage- you can do better White Elephant !

Small airport that is easy to navigate and no need to arrive super early. The purdoor seating while waiting is very nice.

This is a nimble airport that struggles with weather but when things work, they work well. Baggage is easy and if for some reason delayed it will be on the next flight. Sometimes a little local knowledge is helpful. Planes load at the departure time so it is easy to get a little nervous. The crosswinds cafe is a great place for a bit before or after your flight. We even go up there when we aren't flying. One thing that could be impostors is to communicate status using the signage that is there. Inbound delays should be communicated and status could be used on the digital signature throughout the airport..

Flight from Nantucket to Hyannis is 15 minutes. Much faster than the ferry, but not as comfortable. Smooth flight in a small plane. Luggage go in the wing.

Don t listen to half of the reviews on here. Most of the negative reviews are people who expect it to be like NetJets or Wheels Up. No, you most likely aren t using NetJets or Wheels Up. United isn t the only option. Cape Air flies year round, American, JetBlue, Delta and United all fly seasonally.

I needed to be sure catering arrived since the caterer was awful and wouldn't give me any info. The CSR that answered would NOT look for the catering no matter what. I needed to know if it was there, so I could quickly order something else if it wasn't. She was rude, unhelpful, and had no solution. A colleague of mine called and spoke to someone else and they looked for the catering and gave her an answer. Whomever I spoke with should probably find a job where she doesn't have to try so hard.

Airport is beautiful. The only reason it did not earn 5 stars is the lack of direction for commercial flight baggage claim.

Fantastic airport. Flew on a smallish airline owned by two brothers. A surprising amount of antics and shenanigans always going on while waiting in the lobby but that's island life I suppose. The cute girl working the lunch counter is always kind, albeit sassy at times.

Was just here for about 18 hours due to Tropical Storm Elsa and wanted to share what I ve learned.Airport: Pretty nice and clean overall. It s really small and getting through security was easy. The trouble though, is that once through security, you only have the option to sit on wooden benches while you wait for your flight. So just imagine sitting in an old Catholic Church for like 2 hours on a pew waiting for your flight . Not great. Oh and if God forbid you get hungry or thirsty you have the option of 2 whole vending machines to choose from. But you ll need cash to use them, no credit card option, and the best part is, apparently they are almost always sold out. So you get a nice walk of shame back to your pew after you find out the bad news for yourself.Restrooms: Lucky for me I was able to use the ol stall for a dump in every men s room over the course of my precious time here. They were very clean and well appointed. Bravo airport cleaning staff!Crosswinds restaurant: my wife and I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here over the course of a fun day. The staff was great and very accommodating. I would recommend the pancakes. Pro tip: stop here for snacks and drinks before going through security to avoid the vending machine fun.Other stuff I learned: If you have a super long layover and don t want to sit on wooded benches or eat every meal at the Crosswinds like my wife and I, try going to the hotel across the street from the airport parking lot. They have a lobby bar that opens at 3 PM and had super reasonable prices compared to other places at the island. The lounge is also pretty big with nice chairs to read in. Shout out to Akeem the bartender!Last but not least the staff at Jet Blue were rockstars dealing with issues and really did a great job dealing with rotten weather circumstances. So there ya go, I guess what I m trying to say is, the Nantucket Airport is no Hyline ferry.

Nice staff and friendly atmosphere. I've always had a pleasant time visiting and a quick service. Yes this small local airport is not a shopping mall, but at least you don't have to come 2 hours before the flight to board the plane.

This is awful for such a small airport. Move security so people can grab a bite to eat or a drink after going through the slowest, most cumbersome security line. I m sitting outside for an hour with no water. This stinks. Your tsa is slow and cumbersome, hence my earlier arrival and subsequent thirst. Not everyone that visits Nantucket takes a private jet. Take care of your tourists ACK.

The quaintness of this beautiful island and the airport itself will always touch the heart. The wonderful people working all the ticket counters have smiles, information, and even a few laughs. However, TSA, gate and ramp personnel are horrific. They are rude, abrupt, aggressive and downright mean. During this time we are all required to wear face coverings inhibiting normal conversation, but when I tried to ask for clarification or repeat instructions, I was met with attitude and a dismissive tone as if I had asked for the impossible. Customer service is definitely not part of their vocabulary or training. What a shame to leave with such a poisonous taste shoved down the throat by incompetent people.

This is a cool airport with beautiful facilities, a nice gift shop, and good food with nice views: This airport functions as one of the most convenient ways to get to Nantucket because of its ease of use. There's one security checkpoint, one check in area, and one main boarding area. The size of the building is small which means the airport can become crowded and dense during peak summer travel, but the wait times in line are typically very short. The best way to travel out of the airport is via a taxi service, but there is also a bus service into town.

Take the ferry!!!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this airport. Waiting for my flight was a horrible experience. There is not enough seating & what seating is available is uncomfortable. Way to crowded. People waiting for their flights after they got through security was ridiculous--it was so crowded many people had to stand. The gate people kept making flight announcements that you could not hear--maybe they could invest in a microphone. Skip the Crosswinds Restaurant all together--horrible service and as overcrowded as the airport. Nantucket needs to step up their airport game if they want to compete. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took a pic of the overcrowding & wish there was a way to post it.

Small airport catering to vacationers and locals. Commerical airlines provide service here and if you're lucky enough to fly private it is very accommodating.

Worst experience in an airport ever. Our flight was cancelled due to weather, and we didn't find out until an hour AFTER our flight was supposed to depart. It's a small airport but is severely understaffed and do not communicate with you. The waiting area only fits around 100 people, so once we finally did get on a plane we had to wait another 40 minutes for the rest of the people to board because they were held back. Definitely worth taking the ferry over flying into this airport. Our only saving grace was the Cape Air supervisor Chris. Since our flight was cancelled because of weather, we offered no type of voucher for a hotel and Chris went above and beyond to make sure we had a place to stay that night and way back to the airport in the morning. Other than him, it was a horrible experience.

TSA is unnecessarily more thorough than most airports I ever been to. The airport staff is severely undermanned. The flight arrived on time and left late because they did not have enough staff to load the plane. That is a little shanty in my opinion.

From the pilot's perspective-high landing and parking fees. Bring your hiking boots because if you are not a big jet you will be parked half a mile from the terminal building and have to walk in. Once got gas there with ice crystals in it-almost made an emergency landing at JFK at night.

Got Tumi luggage for Christmas, first time I had an airline (UNITED) put my luggage under the plane (you don t have a choice) and there is gouges taken out of it, Dents, scratches out of mine, my family s bags- some the structure is broken completely, others have tears and holes in them. Sad to say, we all arrived and left on different days so it wasn t a one time ordeal.

This airport is horrible there are delays after delays. If you can drive to Hyannis and take ferry its best way to travel. The only thing that keeps me coming back is how beautiful nantucket is.

Customer service is horrible. Line guys are great but the ladies behind the counter could care less if your customers are ready to depart and you don't have the fuel you ordered 20 min ago. No newspapers available and basically a pokey attitude overall.
