Once they have your car, they're in command. My daughter had an accident in her old Toyota and it was towed to Art's. She's penniless and had no money to pay them. I'm 81 retired and in Florida. I offered to pay them with my credit card. They wouldn't take it over the phone like most businesses do. They wanted cash and nothing else. I had to ask my younger (77) brother to go there to pay them. He brought the $200 they quoted me but when he got there they wanted $590 which they so generously dropped to $500 even. This was a lot for him but he scrapped it up and paid the ransom. Then even though they are a AAA company, they wouldn't tow it to the body shop under AAA. Had to get a different AAA tow company to pick it up.When they have you, they have you.

Karen was very friendly and super helpful! Rob the driver did an amazing job moving the storage container, it was a difficult one due to the tight areas. Everything was spot on and exactly like they promised, fair pricing and on time as well.Would suggest them to anyone. Thanks again!LukeService: Local hauling

Art's Towing never good...but AAA uses them so no choice. Commits to come jumpstart car but claims driveway is not safe for tow truck to go on becaiuse of the steep incline and sheet of ice. Facts: Driveway is about as level as it can be. Many cars have been over the driveway as is evident because of the tire tracks. None of them had any issue getting in and out. (Neither did Loh's (the company to call in Milford area if you want actual service). Called AAA for a second time, second commitment, waited another 2 hours before AAA checked to see if anything had happened and Arts No-showed again... Loh's was here in minutes and my problem was solved. If it had beeh up to Art's I would have just had to wait until spring or until they have a driver that wants to work.Service: Battery

I would like to thank Art s for their professional and prompt service. My husband got a flat that fix a flat could not fix. Luckily he was close to home. Desperate, he called Art s towing at 9 pm. The man that he dealt with on the phone was kind and reassuring and gave my husband advice about joining AAA to save money. Tow truck came right out and Art s was able to install a new tire the next morning and we had the car back by 4pm. So grateful that Art s fit us in so quickly! Special recognition to Carla who interacts with customers over the phone. Excellent customer service skills, very kind, professional, and patient!Service: Tire change

Unfortunately got a flat and called AAA and they sent me these people. I stated to AAA I have the spare I just needed someone with a jack to replace the tire. I wasn t comfortable with a plug as I drive a lot and have had bad experiences with a plug. The guy showed up and I explain the situation and was told he would put a plug in and wouldn t charge me? I said I didn t feel comfortable and could you just change the tire to which I was completely dismissed and was told by the gentleman I have to much to do today to basically be bothered by you. I was not at all rude and just wanted my tire changed which was not a small dummy tire. I was completely thrown off by how rude he was and felt like I was inconveniencing him. He proceeded to put the plug it at that point I wanted to go home said it was all set slammed his door and bolted out of the parking lot. Avoid this place!!!

Art's came when I called AAA. Very helpful and friendly. Got me back on the road right away. (I'd had to take a bunch of junk out of my hatchback. The driver put it all neatly back in my car himself without me asking.) Great customer service!Service: Tire changeService: Tire change

Towed my car on a flatbed, and I heard it bottom out as it was being winched onto it. When I retrieved my car, it was dark out, so I couldn't get a good look underneath till the next day. The drain pan cover was cracked and duct taped on, and under that the drain pan and plug was scratched up. I called to inquire about it, and was told "there is no duct tape here, period," and "it was probably already like that." Very nice.

I wanted to give recognition to the man that gave me a tow yesterday morning (I apologize for not remembering his name). He arrived within a half hour of my call for a tow from Milford to Worcester. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. If I ever need a tow again (which I hope I don't) I would ask specifically for him and Art's Towing. I would recommend Art's Towing to anyone needing a tow.Service: Car towing

Terribly company!!!!!! I didn t know that my car was towing on street and too many cars in parking and no choice where was parking for my car where I live and stuck before I left to Europe last February. Until my neighbor informed me that my car was towing awhile I was in Europe. I was like what????? Where my car was gone? My neighbor told me that due to bad snow storm. I was very upset because they took my car WITHOUT let me know. I did called them to explained about it. They are hang up on me. Very disrespectful! Wasn t my fault. They cost me $250.00 dollars for NO REASON!!!! Serious??? Arts auto DON T CARE about their costumer! I am very disappointed! Next time please you need to understand what I explained to you what happen. Please respectful to do not hang up in their costumer because you hang up on me for no reason means no respect! Ugh!!!!

Called because my dog locked himself in my car on a 90+ degree day. He stepped on the lock button as I was going to drivers side. Arts had a truck to my location within 15 minutes and the door opened within 20 minutes from my first call. My Dog was totally fine thanks to them prioritizing my call.Service: Car lockoutsService: Car lockouts

The only reason I am not giving Art's Towing a 5-star is because of the price to tow out of their area. Otherwise I give them an exemplary rating. The service was prompt (the state park was about to lock their gates). Matt was driving the tow that day. He is absolutely caring, knowledgeable, efficent in his role and fast and the utmost professional tow driver I've ever met. The truck appeared to be new and was clean! I had no concerns riding in the cab with Matt -- Art's should feel grateful, especially in these unprecedented time of no staff, to have Matt.Service: Car towing

It was one of them days where I shouldn't have gotten out of bed. I find myself stuck in my vehicle on the side of one of the busiest highways on the planet with no gas! I didn't know who to call. I was a little anxious. I asked Siri to look up some towing companies and Arts Auto showed up on the phone. They were so courteous and respectful! I just knew I was going to be ok at this point. The driver showed up and gave me a comfortable seat in the truck, while he filled me up with gas! He told me everything was going to be alright and I just knew I was safe! Keep in mind all of this happened in less than 33 minutes! I will always call Arts Auto if I'm ever in a jam. These guys are the best! Thank you again!Service: Fuel delivery

I called AAA to get my motorcycle towed. First I was told that a truck was on its way. Then someone from Arts called and said they were in the middle of a shift change and they would call me back in a few with an updated eta. After an hour I called and was told the driver just showed up and should be on the road shortly and should be to me in about 20 minutes. After another hour I got a call being that Arts didn't have the equipment to tow my bike. They could have told me 2 hours earlier and save me some time. I have a hard time believing that because I've used this company several times before to tow my company vehicles. I won't make that mistake again.Service: Car towing

The driver that showed up today to tow my car was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and concerned. He recommended a repair shop and after reviewing the repair show once we got home I am glad he took my car there. Sorry, I did not catch your name but you towed a white BMW. Thank you again...Service: Car towingService: Car towing

They had no problem towing my lowered car last week, had no problem towing it today when they were going to charge me over $300 to go 20 miles, but when I say never mind and go through triple A they tell them that they can't tow the car. I called Arts back and asked them why they can tow it for $300 but not for triple A and the response I got was "because I can" I've towed this car countless amounts of times with Arts and it's never been a problem until now. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and told me not to call him again and hung up

Towing Industries are a difficult one. Most people involved are already in a stressed out situation. Being in the field I respect & understand it. The drivers who work long hours in all types of acclimate weather. Frigid cold, trying to change a tire, because so many people now do not know how or choose not to. Recoveries on the highway, trying to clean up a possible tragic scene, while people are flying by in their cars, not even giving the courtesy to move over, although it is a law. In the office the phone, doesn't stop ringing...there are angry customer in the lobby that just had the car towed for parking in the wrong spot. Or a scared young girl that was just towed in for an accident. At the end of the day there's a huge amount of people who are very pleased & very grateful for our services. They are glad we are here, and more frequent are making an effort to say Thank You. I am thankful for those people & as we all know in the world of social media, you can ruin a name or company from a bad review because you had to wait a little long, or if there was a communication error. Don't forget, we are all human, trying to function in a more chaotic world then ever. So before you want to judge & criticize immediately, life is such a bigger picture then just you, take a few breathes & be grateful for it.

Brad, Karin, Jon, Carla and the crew over at Arts are the best in the area! Disregard some of these negative reviews. People can be so rude.I've had vehicles serviced, towing performed, battery swaps. The communication is always there with updated ETAs and they are very fair for all the hard work they do.If I'm ever in a jam I have people I can trust with my equipment.Services: Battery service, Fuel delivery, Local hauling

I have been having increasing problems with my 16-year-old Subaru Baja not starting up recently. Today I was parked in the lot in front of Shaw's/Walgreen's on Prospect Street in Milford. I came out of the store to leave and once again my car wouldn't start. I called AAA to send someone to give me a jump start. 30 minutes later, Keith from Art's Auto Service arrived. I was merely expecting the driver to give me a jump start and send me on my way, but Keith was an angel sent from Heaven! He examined my battery thoroughly and determined the cause of my problem. Keith replaced the wire connection to the terminal of my battery. Following Keith's expert service, my car started immediately at the turn of my key without having to be jump-started. It was a miracle! This reasonably-priced $60 service call saved me hundreds of dollars having a mechanic determine the cause of my trouble. If I did not live so far from Milford (in Worcester), I would surely make Art's Auto Service my regular car mechanic (and hopefully end up with Keith!).

My car broke down on route 109 in Milford and Hyundai Roadside Assistance estimated a 3 hour wait time for a tow truck to arrive. It was like 100 degrees out so I couldn't wait. I gave Art's towing a chance, and the woman on the phone was extremely helpful and explained the terms of payment. The tow truck driver Izzy showed up within 10 minutes, was extremely patient, dropped me back off at work, and even grabbed my golf bag for me from the trunk. He made the whole process much less stressful. This is how good customer service is done, bravo Art's. Hopefully I don't need my car towed again soon, but if I do, I definitely feel comfortable calling these guys.- Matthew Cross

I regret not reading the reviews before putting a call through. Got a company's van stuck in a field as I tried to reverse while on duty, looking for the closest towing service, I called Arts to help pull. First off I wasn't given a quotation as she said she can't on the phone but the driver will. The driver came and did his job without giving me a quote. All this time I was completely naive and thought since AAA was asking for $105 for immediate service and membership (mind you membership was just $52), I thought a onetime service and say just a pull and not a tow and since they were 6 miles away would be less especially going with the quote online. I was wrong, they asked for $150 and threatened to impound and call the cops while I was just pleading with her. I dont normally do this, but I think these guys are scams. She later asked for $125 because no one told me the amount before the van was dragged a few meters into the road.Insane and fraudulent.

Most amazing experience with a towing company I ever had. Greg was awesome! He provided me with excellent insight on my truck. The dispatcher was also great and straight forward. 5 stars is not even enough.

Had a tire blowout on the highway and called AAA after realizing I was SOL without a spare. Within 20mins Art's had a tow on-scene and I was taken to my preferred shop. Driver was very helpful and prompt, truck was warm on a snowy below-freezing day and I was on my way to work with little time lost. Thank you!

This past Saturday i had a dead battery in my driveway and placed a AAA call and they dispatched a service truck for a jump start. As i was waiting there arrival I got a call from the service tech Keith that he had been rerouted by a MSP call out on the highway. Keith kept me updated on my cell phone with voice mails thru out the delay with updates and not once did AAA ever advise me with any updates this was solely on Keith from Arts.Upon his arrival he was very apologetic on his delay but was rerouted due to a safety issue on the highway. I thanked him for his constant updates thru out and he took this upon him self as AAA left me in the darkHis customer service was A1- Class and Arts should relish this type of dedicated customer / client service which is not the norm todayThank You Keith !Service: Battery

SCAM SCAM SCAM - Take your money elsewhere!!!If it was possible to give this place 0 stars, I would have selected that. I took my brand new car here for a sticker. They said it failed inspection because the "test equipment couldn't communicate with the OBD" in my car and to talk to the dealer about getting it fixed under warranty. I did as they suggested and the dealer said that the issue is likely their test equipment. So I took my car to Auto Zone and see if they can get a reading from their OBD scanner and it worked perfectly. I went back to Art's later in the day and explained the situation to see if we can work together to figure out a solution since the OBD reads just fine with someone else's scanner. The guy at the desk said "you're not going to like this, but honestly, you should just take it somewhere else to be re-inspected and pay the $35 again." I asked if I could speak to someone about discussing a possible refund since the issue was clearly their equipment. He told me to call on Monday and ask for Karin, the service manager. I called their office 3 times that week asking for Karin, but she was always "busy or on a call". I left several messages with other employees asking for a call back, which I never received. The next week, I took my car to be inspected somewhere else and it passed with flying colors. Don't waste your time, energy or money on these people. Avoid this place at all costs!!

DON'T USE ARTS TOWINGI recently went to this garage for my inspection sticker during my lunch break. Upon going into the establishment I was not greeted by anyone and their was no one working the front desk. I had to walk into the busy and dangerous garage in order to speak to someone. When I found a worker there I was greeted with a "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!" not a friendly hello as you would expect. I explained to the man that I had to go into the garage because there was no one at the front desk and I was in need of an inspection sticker. He made some sort of grunting noise at me and said "OK, I will go find the receptionist" Here is where it gets really bad, and this is why I distrust many mechanics. The results of the inspection were in and they had failed me for the most ridiculous things and I mean ridiculous. They had stated that the following was wrong with my vehicle. Wipers torn, and Washer fluid empty, I also had received a "Vehicle Height Check" failure. Now I was curious about the high problem and upon further research I had found that no rules in MA were implemented on LOWERED CARS. The vehicle high check is for LIFTED vehicles. So why was I given the failure that a lifted vehicle would get? Here is why. This place just wants your money - They said that my wipers weren't in proper working condition because they wanted me to have to buy wipers from them. Also they said that I had failed the height check because they wanted to have to raise my vehicle and charge me for the labor. Now why this review? Because I went to have my car inspected else where and the workers there said that this place obviously only wanted the money for the repairs because my vehicle had passed with flying colors. so please. unless you want to be taken for all you've got. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT USE ARTS TOWING OF MILFORD. PLACE IS A SCAM

We had just called for a tow as our mechanic thought we needed a fuel pump replaced on our Honda Pilot. When the tow truck driver arrived he asked what was wrong and could he try to start it. There was already a key in the car and it started but immediately stopped. The driver, Mike asked why the key wouldn't unlock the car. I went and got another set of keys and this time Mike started it and the car kept running. He told us that its a security feature in Honda's and prevents theft. I explained that we had lost our keys a year ago and recently found them and my wife inadvertently used the old keys and thats why it wouldn't start. Huge problem and cost averted thanks to Mike and is knowledge. So a huge shout out and a huge thank you to Mike from Art's Towing. You won't find many good people like that now a days. Thank you Mike.

I needed my car towed and called my insurance company for roadside assistance and they scheduled me for a tow with Arts. I received automated phone calls and texts verifying Arts was coming. It never came and I called my insurance and they called Arts but couldn't get a hold of the dispatch person who had disappeared. I called Arts and talked to the dispatch woman who knew what car I was talking about and destination, which was to a different autobody, and said they had told my insurance company they couldn't because they were too busy. I could tell she was obviously lying. Don't call Arts for anything, they are liars and lazyUPDATE: my insurance company set me up with a different tow company and will be here in 20 minutes. Arts dispatch woman just called me and told me the tow truck is outside my building. I'm waiting for the other truck and Arts can go screw, but which is it Arts? If you told my insurance company you couldn't do the tow, why are you here? Completely unorganized business looking to scam you out of money.
