Beware of this dealer. I bought the van from John and after 32 days of purchase the engine start making very loud noise. First I took it to my mechanics shop and guess what. He told me engine is gone. I did call John and ask him to help me with repair, he refused. Mechanic told me that John knew about the condition of the van before he sold it. Now I am replacing the engine which cost me $4500. I did stupid thing , because when you go to his dealership you will see a lot of junk. It's not even look like a dealership.

Bought a work van from John and he was great! Not pushy, very friendly.. told me he'd do a couple minor things before I bought it and he did everything he said. About 3 weeks after I bought the van I had a coil go bad, it was under warranty and even though it was an easy fix ( I did it) he sent me a check for the cost of the coil.He really didn't have to do that ..it was cheap. I'd recommend him!

UNPROFESSIONAL AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I own a 24hr emergency drain cleaning business and I purchased a service vehicle from John. The van was listed at $13,000. I paid John $11,000 and a trade in. A couple days after purchasing the vehicle the van completely dies on me and loses all power while I was driving to a service call. I get the van towed to John to get it serviced because the van came with a 60 day warranty (you would think he would offer to pay for the tow but didn t). John tells me that it s going to be a couple of days because of New Years holiday. Well a couple days turned into a couple weeks and I expressed to John that I'm losing money because I don t have a van to service out of. I ended up servicing out of my personal vehicle which looked unprofessional showing up to service calls not to mention I deal with sewage backups. John finally gets the van back to me and tells me it was a ground wire problem. A week after that the brakes start grinding and the check engine light comes on so I text John to tell him and he starts to question me saying, and I quote That is not my question...you got a sticker and in one week the evap light went on and brakes are grinding . The mechanic who did the sticker had to pull the tires to look at brakes , right? This was copied and pasted from our text. I explained to John that I wouldn t know because that s not my profession and regardless it needs to be fixed because the van came with a 60 day warranty. After dropping off the vehicle John tells me that my left brake was worn out and then tells me that the check engine light was due to an evap leak and it s going to be a couple more days because they needed to smoke my van. He said they changed the gas cap, with I m assuming an old gas cap because it did not look new at all. He tells me that he s going to charge me a $100 deductible which I believe I shouldn t have to pay because it s only been a month since purchasing the vehicle and a little over 2 weeks the van was sitting at his mechanics shop. He tells me I can pick up the van and see if it was just the gas cap. After a few days the check engine light comes on again. I also explained to John that the van will make a noise as if I m driving over a rumble strip and sent him a video of it so he can have his mechanic fix that problem as well but John completely ignored me. John and I agreed to have the check engine light looked at today but unfortunately I couldn t make it today because I had emergency service calls to take care of and asked John the day before if we can reschedule for the following day and he replies with a No . So I tell him if we can reschedule for next week and he replies, and I quote I can not make a app. With mechanic . So drop it off and he will do it when he can copied and pasted from our text. I then tell John that I run a 24hr Emergency service company and that I can t just drop off my van and wait till mechanic to fix it when he can and he replies So your asking the mechanic to make time for you and then you can not make it . He is a business owner also . At this point I told John that I ve had nothing but problems since I purchased the vehicle and that I m just gonna have another mechanic fix it. Ps I m still within my 60 warranty

Purchased a van from John, fair price and very easy transaction. John agreed to make some repairs for me, he did them and delivered the van clean and running better than expected. I purchase many vehicles for the company and its difficult to find someone you can trust and be treated fairly, this is the place to shop if that's what you're looking for.Very happy, highly recommend, and will purchase from John again in the near future.

beware of this dealership, they will NOT HELP YOU or stand by the vehicle they sell you! Go elsewhere!!!!! I purchased vehicle, didnt pass inspection, small repair fixed it my self, literally drove it 79 miles, engine failed, vehicle not sold mechanically fit. I tried everything, called, emailed, filed complaints, they blamed me. They offered no help or compensation. BUYERS BEWAREAll bologna ! You sold the van with WATER in the radiator, drove it home and it was completely FROZEN the next day entire cooling system was frozen. in middle of winter ??!! This had nothing to do with mileage of the van. And I was the owner of the company so get your facts straight. Lots of good reviews but beware if there are issues, Motta will not take ownership. Before you take a vehicle off their lot don t assume they have taken any time to go through the vehicle. The mere fact that he acknowledges it had 254k miles infers he flipped the van cheaply and didn t bother to invest time in going through it. There should have been a actual radiator fluid in the cooling system not water !!!!!!!!!!! And mileage on that Ford means nothing I ve had MANY Ford E350 with over 300k in my fleet. Like I said took no ownership and explain why you ignored emails and dodged phone calls ?? Ahh yeah right there Tells us all a bigger story. And all over 1k. Were you that disparate for $$. Unacceptable customer service and you cannot explain that??

Honest, Integrity and fair pricing! I have purchased many cars off of John in the last 10 years. He is the most honest car salesman I have ever dealt with. I have sent many customers in his direction and they are all pleased with him and the way he stands behind every vehicle he sells. His prices are very fair and sometimes at pre auction pricing. It is always worth the short drive to Methuen to check out his inventory.

i am the owner of motta auto, john motta, nh g is a women from nh who wrote a misleading review of my business. first, she did not buy a car from me but i was told he was her her husband when she called looking for her money back. the man who bought the van never called me. the man who bought the 2000 e350 cargo van 254000 miles for a $1000 understood the van was old and his friend he took to look at the van also. when they had a so called problem with the van, did they call me first, no. i have a email she sent me telling me what happen. they changed the thermostat , not front end work like she says, this regulates the temperature . if you put it in backwards or leave a air pocket in the motor it does not work, thus overheating the very old used motor . when someone works on a car first before calling me , no matter how much the car cost, and causes a bigger problem i do not believe it is fair that i should pay or in this case buy the car back.
