The best place to go to get your car inspected.No longer the best place to get your car inspected. They are rude and don't care one bit. I now recommend John's gas station on Squire Road in Revere.

Two out of the three guys who work there become aggressive and threatening at times. I live near the garage, and one of them (an older guy who I think is often drunk) will just start screaming obscenities if he gets frustrated with a car. There will be little kids walking by, and he'll just scream the "F" word over and over. I'm several floors up and even with my windows closed and an air conditioner running, I can hear this guy screaming. I'll look outside and see scared kids crossing the street to get away.The younger guy will also fly off the handle. I was just outside with my son throwing a football around outside of my building and he started yelling at my son and me. We went to leave and he literally followed us back to the door to our building yelling the entire time.It was genuinely scary.Avoid at all costs.

Very happy with the service I received on my car. Have been there multiple times, always feel like Ozzie and Austin are giving me a good deal. They put in quality work.

I needed my Tesla Model 3 inspected. The first time I came the younger gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they didn t have the jack pucks you need to get a Tesla up. I ordered them online and came back. The 2nd time i came, an older man shouted at me from the inside MOVE! , meaning to move my car away from the entrance. Sure, I did that, no problem. He then collected my car key, registration, and told me 10-15 minutes. Went for a walk, came back, he was waiting for me: he left the key in the car and the Tesla locked up. So he couldn t complete the inspection. But instead of then completing it, he told me I m not serving this car. Goodbye .Wow. Way to serve customers, esp. in a town like this where reputation is everything.I can understand that this new generation of electric cars may not be a welcome future for a mechanic, given how much simpler they are in terms of mechanics and parts. But still, it is the future, and repair shops rather think about how to stay in business in this future. THIS is not the way.

I had went there to get an inspection because it was close by and let me tell you . I would NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! and would not recommend that place. The guy did an inspection and had put my info on the computer then told me he can t give me a sticker because I had a rejection sticker in the pass. I told him no it s my first sticker ever how is that possible on a new car. He then said idk what to tell you the info doesn t match and had told me to go to the RMV or call them. I ask if he is sure all my info is correct and he said yes. Which I had wish he would double checked instead of popping an attitude and wasting my time. From there on, I went to the RMV and as I waited, they had told me nothing was wrong. All time wasted for nothing. And All my information was correct. so I went back to him and he goes you have to wait I never start your inspection. which he clearly did start because I saw him checked the window, the lights, and all that. Taking pics etc. when he re-did the inspection everything went through and then he goes well. It s working now. Like buddy it was fine all along! SMH

Honesty and fair prices. This was before.Now I am not sure. Told I needed brakes 6 months ago. Took it in to get new brakes and he forgot to look at them. When I went to get it, he was too busy to look now, I would have to come back.Sorry, I went elsewhere. Might have been too much work for him. Brakes, wheel bearings, rotors and ball joints. I don't think he was honest with me.

This my go to spot in Melrose for inspections/stickers. Recently had our Volvo and a '91 Miata that we are restoring there, no issues at all. Also have a Tesla that we brought in for its first inspection, no issues then but they refused to inspect it the following year. Good shop, hoping that EV inspections come back in the he future.

I could not speak of the rest of the people, but the person that works in car inspection is very rude. He has no clue what customer service mean. He would argue with customers, and don't have any kind of regards of people. I had to tell him give me my registration and I have to go from here, because I could not stand to be treated like an animal. I would never never go this community garage for anything. My intention was to give the local business first chance, but I would never go to this disrespectful place.

I have been using this garage for 20 years and I have never been let down in terms of quality and reasonably priced repairs. If you make an appointment, like any reputable business, they are very professional and do the job in the time they quoted. No surprises with this garage - honest, reliable work at a fair price.Some things they can't do because of the electronics on some vehicles because they don't have the sophisticated diagnostic equipment that mostly dealers have.Solid, good work - no games.

Ozzie runs the best garage in Melrose and probably the surrounding cities. If you want an honest mechanic who offers fair pricing then call Ozzie.What I like most is that they will tell you everything that is wrong with the car but they will also tell you what should be fixed right now.I bought a used jeep and took it to a dealership to have it looked over and have a few repairs made. They gave me an estimate for $1800. I took their estimate to Ozzie and he looked at the Jeep. After talking to him we decided that the majority of the repairs were more preventative than necessary and could be taken care of in the future. Ozzie made the necessary repairs and saved me over $1000!I should warn you that this garage is very busy so you can't always expect same day service. However an extra day or two is well worth the wait.

Ozzie is the best! I've been bringing my cars to him since 1983. Always courteous and up front on my cars issues.Always honest, and fair pricing.

Unattractive but perfectly good place to get my car inspected. There is rarely any waiting and the staff are taciturn but friendly. I have not had my car serviced here.

Please, do not come here unless you want to be treated like an animal. They clearly have no clue what customer service is like.They are super rude i would recommend you to save your time and go somewhere else.

Fast inspection, no waiting area/office, could be friendlier. I come here because it's better than Alan's Auto and it's the only other inspection station in Melrose.

I was treated fairly and with respect, within the rules of getting an inspection. It is first come first serve so come on down and be patient, I was surprised how much business they were getting!
