I highly recommend LBJ Honda for all your car needs. We have been bringing our cars for service for about 8 years. Rick is always so kind and informative. Dan is the man! He is always taking the time to explain every detail, and him and his son really are experts. I have recommended many friends and family to LBJ! Give them a call to schedule your next car service. I guarantee you won't regret it.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about my experience here. From start to finish, the service was professional, seamless, and communication was so easy. When they say "Personalized", they mean it: I came in to diagnose a rattling noise coming from my back wheel, and for some general diagnostics. I'm first to admit I'm not a car person, but Rick listened intently to all my concerns, and took those concerns seriously. Luckily, they were able to spot and fix the problem: two crucial bolts missing from a brake caliper most likely due to improper work (at a dealership I will not name). They saved me from a potential disaster on the road, and I paid a fraction of what I would have forked over at a major dealership.This shop doesn't give you the runaround, or try to scare you into unnecessary repairs. Rick is respectful and kind; Dan is honest and uncompromising. I even had to the chance to chat with his son, who carefully walked me through the repair, and addressed every question I had. All of this impeccable service, plus a free loaner for the day? I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. (And I'm never going back to a dealership again.)LBJ Honda is a prime example of why we owe it to ourselves and our communities to support local, independent family-owned auto shops. I very highly recommend LBJ for service and repair. I have been going to LBJ for over 7 years first for my Acura then my Honda. The staff is always extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain any issues with the car and repair the issue in a timely manner at a good price. I am fortunate to live near LBJ, but I would drive a distance for their excellent service! I've been coming to LBJ Honda for over 13 years to have mine and my wife's autos serviced. In addition, my daughter and father also rely on LBJ for their service needs. Dan, his son Danny, and Rick have always provided us with a high level of service. Though I'd moved to Milford, MA. In 2012, I continue to bring my vehicle to LBJ. Aside from leaving the shop always fully satisfied, the prime reason I'm a loyal customer to LBJ, is because they are honest and up front in terms of what repair/maintenance your car requires at that moment. They do not try to up-sell you or recommend work that isn't necessary and they'll take the time to explain why a repair is needed or not. I ve been bringing my Honda to LBJ for a while now and should have made this review years ago. They do fantastic work, are fully candid about the work that is needed, and are priced very fairly. When I have to bring my car somewhere else, I frequently feel like they re trying to sell other products or services that aren t needed. I have never felt that way at LBJ. All of my experiences have been very positive and I highly recommend LBJ.

We were driving from PA to Acadia for our family vacation last week when our Honda pilot started having trouble near Boston area. We googled for car repair shop and found few. Some were closed as it was Monday and some said they are fully booked. But when we walked in to LBJ, Rick listened to our story and called Dan. Although they were fully booked, Dan was gracious enough to take a look into our car and on the first instance he knew it was a exhaust issue. We waited for our car to be fixed as Ian was working on some other car. After two hours and just $150, we were on our way to Acadia! We can't thank Dan, Rick and Ian enough for fixing our car without any appointment. Thank You!Highly recommend LBJ. very professional, knowledgeable and honest!Service: Exhaust

This is my absolute go to shop for not only my car- but my fathers, grandfathers, grandmothers, and mothers. That statement alone should explain the type of personalized, trusted, exquisite service rendered at LBJ. Family owned and operated father and son- so it s always entertaining and when you re there you feel as though you are now family. I wouldn t send my family and friends anywhere else. Thank you Dan senior, Danny junior, and Rick you gentlemen are one of a kind.

Absolutely terrific service. Rick and Dave are very knowledgeable at what they do. I went in for all fluid change brake, rear diff etc.... I got into my car and automatically I felt the difference. Super happy with the service would absolutely recommend. Didn't try to sell other stuff I didn't need did what was asked and checked for other stuff. Found the perfect mechanic. Price is very competitive. Follow up: after my last visit about 3 months I recently had battery problem. Called and spoke to Rick and he was more than happy to talk to me and guide me with some trouble shooting. After I got off the phone with him I tried what we talked about. And my car started again. And not only that but Dave made a surprise visit to my resident just too help me take a look. He didn't have too do that And i told him that but he said I'm a customer and it's all about customer experience. Wow. They are great at what they do but most of all they really try to help out. Thanks LBJ!!!!!!

I want to preface this with the fact that I ve been going here for a long time. I had a bit of a break when I went to Seattle and came back but these guys are beyond amazing and their quality has never changed over ten years I ve been going. I would never in my life go anywhere else with my Honda. I had to get my tires fixed and Rick easily went above and beyond to find me tires that were beyond reasonable as well as sturdy and solid tires for winter. Recently I also thought I had to get my timing belt done. When doing the work they found that the belt had been replaced more recently than I thought and they told me I didn t need to replace it, saving me a lot (if you know anything about a timing belt they aren t cheap.) they didn t even charge me for time or labor. They ve been nothing but kind, reliable, fair, GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO, and you absolutely are getting a great price for phenomenal work. I recommend them to everyone.As an aside, they do collect out-of-state license plates (I was happy to give them one of my Seattle ones!) and I also brought in my deceased grandfathers POW plate from Colorado. They were so respectful and kind when they saw it was a POW plate and promised to hang it up. This shop isn t just a good shop, but it s got good people. Amazing people. Thanks guys!!!

Dan is one of the best out there. He knows his stuff, expert on Honda / Acura; pays attention to detail, and patiently explains the issues to the customer. Along with his son, and Rick at the office, they make a great team and provide excellent service.

I wanted a second opinion after a local dealership recommended a few repairs to my CR-V during a regular maintenance visit. LBJ took a look and found that a couple of the repairs seemed unnecessary. The repairs I did need were much cheaper than the dealership's cost. Rick was very thorough and eager to answer any questions I had. They even offered a loaner vehicle for the day while they worked on my CR-V. I'm happy to have found a trustworthy mechanic and would highly recommend LBJ. Excellent service and by far the best experience I've had with a mechanic.

I have been a customer of LBJ for 30 years. Rick and his staff are simply the best! They deliver excellent service and always explain what repairs are needed and the costs. They provide contactless service during this pandemic, so you know they care about their customers and staff. LBJ maintained my 90 Acura Integra and my current 2007 Civic. A trusted mechanic is priceless and I will always bring my car there for service. Thank you Rick and Dan!

My car was recently serviced by Rick and his team. The check engine light was on. Rick and team did their due diligence, and Rick recommended a cost effective option that resolved the problem. I have literally saved thousands of dollars in repairs and maintenance by using LBJ. For example, I was a proud owner of an Acura Integra. The dealer quoted me $6000 + of repairs. Rick and team did everything for half the price. I drive from Attleboro to Melrose for Rick and team to work on the car. It is worth the money I save. I can trust that Rick will fix whatever is needed at the most cost effective price. This team is exceptional. I highly recommend them. Rick said 16 years belonging to BBB and no complaints. These guys are fantastic, straight and honest. They took the time to go over the work they did and showed me the parts they replaced. They also brought up a potential repair that doesnt need to be done but just to keep and eye on. There prices are awesome and communication is great. The loaner car is a great benefit as well. I will only take my Honda here from now on. Thanks for the great work guys.

These guys are awesome! Rick is beyond accomodating even though they're super busy. Rick and Dan are beyond helpful. They explain things in a way people understand. I'll be coming her exclusively to service my Pilot. Their oil change prices and specials are the cheapest around and they only use Honda parts I love them!

One of the most honest mechanics I've ever worked with. They care about their customers, work with you, recommend only what is required, and steer you away from wasting money. Rick and his team are the mechanics that all of us deserve. He s extremely well organized and clear about when he can fit you in and how long things will take. He s also very budget conscious realizing that every owner can t afford to fix every little thing in their car. I ve been to other shops that scare me and make me think that if I don t fix whatever they found my family will die in a fiery crash. I ve been a customer for over 10 years. I ve called Rick sometimes from the highway where I hear a new sound - and he s able to set me at ease and schedule an appointment as soon as I can. If you have a Honda or Acura I highly recommend going to the shop.

I had a great experience getting my Honda Accord repaired at LBJ Honda/Acura in Melrose. Rick was professional and efficient. I dropped my car off in the evening, and by the next morning, he had diagnosed the issue, quoted me a very fair price, and was able to repair the car within 48 hours (including the time it took to overnight deliver a part that was needed). I would recommend LBJ Honda/Acura to anyone who has a Honda or Acura!

LBJ always takes care of you and your car. They do great work, are so honest, and make sure you are safe. I would recommend this shop for anybody with a Honda or Acura. They always did a thorough job keeping my last car alive. They would show me the old parts that they had removed, and explained why the parts were defunct. They would actually tell me that something wouldn't need to be fixed for a certain number of miles if it still had some usable life left in it, instead of fixing it prematurely. The free loaner car was a definite convenience. It is refreshing to see a reliable, honest mechanic shop in an industry synonymous with subterfuge.

Danny is the absolute best! My friend's car broke down at a gas station in Lynnfield. He came back into the station to help us jump start the car and offered to rearrange his schedule to get her a new battery. He is super friendly and we couldn't be more grateful.

Thank you Rick, even though I was a stranger calling Rick for the first time, having an inquiry about my cracked engine block, Rick spent time with me on the phone explaining me all possible options and recommended me my next steps. This is incredible. In today s era where you listen to voicemails and nobody has time, Rick had the patience to research on my problem and provide me my next steps in spite of me not even being a customer yet...I can only imagine how they would service their customers vehicles.
