I went to Volsar to fix some lights in my BMW. What impressed me was that I was there on Monday, and my appointment to be on Wednesday morning, and as soon I enter the store, I was greeted by my name!!! This is important, because my name is a little hard to pronounce. I m very satisfied with the car job, but the customer service was the greatest! Cheers guys, keep up the good work! I used Volsar last week for the first time, and I was very impressed. They changed the oil and did troubleshooting on a headlight problem. George and the crew are personable, professional, and their prices are very reasonable. Looks like I found a new auto mechanic. I would recommend them to anyone needing automotive work, thanks Volsar!

A reliable and experienced classic FJ cruiser mechanic is hard to find in Massachusetts, Gus at Volsar Automotive is one of those rare few. He currently works on multiple land cruisers of varying vintage and conditions including my 1967 FJ40 with a Chevy V8. My truck is not too original compared to the others, it has a solid frame and it drives but it has been pretty modified by previous owners. Gus is guiding me through replacing those hacky mods with high quality solutions and starting us on the rolling restoration path to bring back that classic cruiser character.Gus has done a lot of work off the clock for me on this truck. I can tell he is really passionate about FJs and helping me take my cruiser to the next level.He does a really good job explaining everything he is doing. I hope to someday to understand my cruiser like he does. So far I have had general maintenance done, carburetor adjusted, beautiful custom engine mounts installed and he has made a whole list of other items to address to improve the truck that I want to check off.For the time Gus puts in and the quality of work the value is incredibly fair. I highly recommend Gus and Volsar for your classic Land Cruiser repair needs if you live in the greater Boston area / Massachusetts in general.

DO NOT COME HERE AVOID!!!Went to them change my tire but first they kept trying to pressure us in buying 2 tires when we only needed one kept asking giving us prices for 2 tires. Next they said they would check under our car see if we damaged any thing associated with the tires such as breaks springs etc. sense we hit a pot hole. They told us the tire won t come in for couple days so they put spare on car so we can use while tire comes in. the very next day when we picked car up my car doesn t start then engine light comes up mind u I never had issue with starting or engine before I have 2017 Corolla 50k miles. So I simply call them just ask if they worked on our engine instantly denial started be rude saying they don t know why my car doesn t start asking why we blaming them for our problem. I told him I m not blaming just asking then while conversation kept going I got annoyed told them I m currently in process in looking into a lawyer then they have nerve to say I need say sorry to them. Now my car doesn t drive how it did before there is nothing this place can say to try justify what happened. How do u mess up someone engine by trying put spare tire on?What they should have of said was I m sorry that this happened to u I don t believe we worked on ur engine but I can ask around if anyone touched anything if u like I can simply take a look. That s how u run a proper business handle a situation with your customers. I will gladly retrain everyone on their customer service skills sense this isn t first review that they argued with other customersService: Auto tire replacement

First time going there was the other day. Was very happy with the work done on my car. I had a mini tune-up, fuel injector replaced, and a few other things done. They always kept me posted with what was going on with the car. The shop manager was very knowledgeable explained everything to me. I met the owner of the company, he was also very nice. He explain to me exactly everything that was done to my car. I left there with a smile on my face I would definitely recommend Volsar auto to anyone who needs top notch work done on the car. Thanks guys for a job well done.

I ve been an employee for Volsar for about 8 years. It s been a pleasure and an honor to work for Gus and Tina. Both Gus and Tina are committed to their employees success and their career progression. Working here has given me the opportunity to grow both professionally within the company and technically as an automotive technician. I started as a technician in the shop working on a multitude of different vehicle types and vehicle brands. Working on so many different types of vehicles has been challenging but rewarding in the fact that it has broadened my diagnostic and problem solving skills. After spending years in the shop as a technician I was promoted to shop manager working at the front desk. I ve enjoyed the last 8 years with the company and look forward to many more. I've had many repairs done on my 07 Buick Lucerne by these guys and they've always gotten me back on the road with a professional repair at a fair price..They can fix any problem I bring them...Gus is great....He gives me a day to bring it in then he calls me with what he found as the problem along with how much im looking at to fix it...Thank you Gus and Nick for finding that misfire and fixing the unexpected water pump failure....much appreciated

In the past, I have found it to be rather unpleasant to speak to mechanics given that it often feels that I am being spoken down to or being given an unreasonably high quote. My experience at VOLSAR could not have been further from this. My car battery died and I contacted this shop to get a quote. George called me back exactly when he said he would, and gave me a very reasonable quote. Not only that, he was also incredibly kind and took the time to answer all of my questions. He ordered the battery for me this morning, and it arrived this afternoon. I had my car towed there around 3:10PM and got a call from the shop around 4:10pm saying the car was ready to be picked up. When I arrived I interacted with Gus and he was also very friendly and helpful. In the end, the repair was actually slightly less expensive than I had originally been quoted, and I was able to drive my car away with no issues. It is so hard to find an honest, reasonably priced, and reliable mechanic and I can say with confidence that this shop ticks all three boxes.Service: Battery

Very good experience. Came in looking for tires, balancing, alignment, etc. Gus and George got me in quickly despite short notice. They fixed an issue with the washer reservoir while they were at it and alerted me to issues with the rear brakes. Fast service, good work, fair price -- they're total professionals.

My car's windshield wiper fluid stopped working this winter, so I brought it to Volsar - they found and repaired the problem same day (a blockage in the hose) and replaced rear wiper blade & checked a few things I asked for (which ended up not needing any work), all for a reasonable price (~ 160$).My car is new-ish, so I hadn't been recently until now, but I recall good experiences with them from my old car (early-mid 2010s), and also my partner used them for tire replacement and had a good experience. They are friendly, responsive and reasonable. And they don't have the "macho" attitude that some mechanics have. Highly recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Drove up from Atlanta to visit my family for Xmas .and wouldn t you know the heat in my car started acting up. I knew what the problem was as I just had it fixed . George got me in right away so I could drive home without freezing my butt off. Super fair price as it was less than what I paid in Atlanta yet they flushed my system twice as many times. Fast, reliable and friendly. What more could you ask for?? Thanks Gus, George and company!

I went here to have them check my car after a faulty jump start. They couldn't find anything wrong with my car even though the radio was clearly not working. They ended up not charging me after I argued about it, which I thought was fair since they didn't find anything wrong. They did give me a quote for replacing the radio though, but the price was outrageous with almost $200 for labor and $500 for a part. However, it took me about 10 minutes to replace the part myself with only $50 spent for the part from the junkyard. For that price they should be cleaning and detailing my car. They also weren't sure which part was damaged, when I figured it out myself in a few minutes. It just seems like every other shop in Boston - a shop for people who have minimal experience working on their own car that do not know how to change their own oil.

I had a very good experience at Volsar! Not only did they complete the services requested in a timely manner, but they were considerate about the vehicle. When I received the car back, it had a floor mat, seat covers, and more. The price was beyond fair aswell. I've been bringing my cars Volsar for over 15 years. I have never been disappointed in the quality of there work. I often leave my vehicle for oil change and tire rotation with the instructions to check it over and let me know if you see any problems. I would never put this kinda trust in a dealership because I fear they would find problems that don't really exist. I have no such hesitation with Gus and the team Volsar. They earned my trust and repeat business over the years.A family owned and operated business that you can depend on. Highly recommended!!

We just needed to have our a/c drained and every other shop we called gave us the run-around. Volsar's mechanics gave us a straightforward answer and charged us less than half of what others quoted. Every employee we talked to was helpful, friendly, and professional too! I'd suggest this mechanic to anyone in the area who asked me for a recommendation and that's something I've never said about anyone I don't know personally. A+ experience.

Been here a few times. The crew is always willing to help. I've had multiple cars fixed here and never been back for the same problem a second time. I've always said the 3 people in your life you have to be able to trust are your doctor, your tattoo artist and your mechanic. Volsar is that mechanic. Family vibes radiate honesty and integrity in everything they do.They take what is most people's worst day when their car breaks down, and make it as painless as possible with professional fast service. I would recommend them to anyone who asked. In fact I have in many instances.Thanks Volsar for all you have done!

The last few times my car has needed repairs, I have taken it in to Volsar. Today was one of those days. I didn't have an appointment, Gus took me in right away and put a new battery in. Gus and the guys have been extremely helpful with helping me with my car issues. I would recommend them to anyone that needs any repairs on their vehicles.

Going to an auto mechanic shop and asking them to check on your car is like going to the barber and asking him if you need a haircut. Their livelyhood depends on fidning (or inventing) fixes, the more the better. That's why most people dread going to repair their cars because it will almonst certainly be more than they budged for. That had been my auto mechanic experiences before I visited Volsar.George changed that experience at Volsar for me.. He told me exactly what it needed to be done on my brakes and fixed them propmply. I was sitting there, waiting for my car to be fixed, and just observing how he interacted with the rest of customers and witnessed something I had not seen in any other auto mechanic shop I had been to in the past (there have been a few over the years). He did not try to sell or push extra services or work on customers. He genuinely wanted to help fix their cars and send them on their way. This is rare! However I highly appreciated especially when there is always a conflict of interest between a customer and shop. Besides most shops are always tempted to recommend extra (unecessary) work to their customers. George was straight shooter and a pure profesional throughout. Team Volsar, I am a business owner myself...........An I am going to tell you this..... George is a keeper. He is your competive advantage for you, guys.Service: Brakes

I went to Colonial Nissan down the street and the diagnostic alone was unreasonable and poorly handled. I really felt like they were just trying to milk me for whatever they could. Volsar on the other hand... breath of fresh air! George helped me through the whole ordeal in a prompt, respectful, understanding, and affordable manner. Every quote was cheaper, every time estimate was reasonable and upheld, and most importantly he came off honest. I'll only go to Volsar for my car problems. It's a family business but it does not draw from their quality. Gus, the owner, is very personable, as evident by his interactions with his longtime customers. Came here for an oil change and was in and out in 40 minutes. Highly recommended

Excellent customer Service! Gus and Chris do a great Job with our Fleets for Cambridge health alliance whenever an issue comes up. We have been taking our fleets to them for the past couple of years and we won't go anywhere else! I would highly recommend

Had a slow tire leak from a nail in my tire. Called and was told to bring it in in the morning. Dropped it off at 8am, had the tire pulled off, and the hole patched and tire back on before 10am.

You cannot go wrong working with Volsar. They are a good group of people that genuinely care about taking care of your car. Others have refused to work on my car due to the recall and Chrysler taking it off the market. Volsar will tell you what needs to be done BEFORE even working on your car. You legit have the option whether you want them to fix it or not. They give you an estimate on what it will cost and keep you up to date while they're fixing it. You get what you pay for and it may be expensive for some but they do quality work. Someone absolutely screwed up on my car and Volsar was willing to fix it for me. Others have literally turned me down and told me to take it back to the person that screwed up. If anything is wrong with my car going forward I'm taking it to Volsar. You cannot go wrong here.
