Needing to leave for a work trip to RI tomorrow, I was desperate for a new car battery (I was told by a AAA worker that my battery only had enough juice to get me home the evening before). All nearby shops did not have availability for service. The employee at Advance Auto Parts the night before said he could not do it that night, but said he had the staff to help the next morning. When I arrived, the staff member (I believe he was a supervisor and I am most likely spelling his name wrong? Elia ) apologized but said it could not be done that morning as they were short-staffed. However he said he would take a look if I pulled my car around. Upon looking at it, he said he *would* be able to install it for me. It was the biggest favor someone has done for me in ages and I am truly grateful. A great employee and decent person.

I ve always had great experiences with advanced auto parts but the man at the front was an absolute gem. He was super helpful, offered to put the coolant in my car for me, and even gave me advice on what steps to take with my car to get it fixed. Super thankful!!

Customer service was awful! I wanted to talk with the cashiers to find a part in the store. I stood at the counter for almost 4 minutes, but nobody approached me to say a single hello! Nobody was in the line and I was the only customer there. Two cashiers were there. They kept answering telephones just in front of me. After 4 minutes, one of the cashiers told me "what do you want?," without any greetings. I felt an extremely disrespectful situation!

This morning my car would not start. AAA was able to diagnose but not replace the battery, so I called Advanced Auto. Over the phone, Syed made sure they had the correct battery in stock before I drove over. It was installed quickly by Joey right in the parking lot. I was so pleased with the excellent customer service from start to finish!

This is hands down the best customer service I have ever received at an auto parts store. The manager, Joey went above and beyond. He was kind, patient, and knowledgeable-tested my battery, and check engine light, and he answered all my questions thoroughly. Everyone else at the store was kind as well. Thanks for everything Joey and team!

NEW store! Great location! Staff was friendly, very helpful and professional. Store manager Joey came over to me and introduced himself and welcomed me to the store. I would recommend this store to all my friends and family!

Today 03/15/2023 around 11:35am i come in to the store two african american men one with long dreads and the second has a bit of grey hair older guy are on the phone in one counter then a third employees spanish was with a customer by the door on a counter too.I waited then the two employees finished there call i went to them and asked for a new battery to my car the answer from the older guy hey this is whole sale wait for the other guy to finish with the customer the other guy meaning the spanish employee.And then I waited not too long maybe 5 min or less then i asked for the battery he was visibly upset that the other employees would not help me and make me wait for him to finish, then he tells me that he will not be changing the battery but would sell it to me and offered to give me tools to change it myself, i told him I don t know how to change batteries and he said its very easy i was going to try but didn t want to risk it after i choose a 249$ battery i chose to go to autozone much better customer service. I can t believe the tone and how condescending the older guy was speaking to me its like i was begging him for a favor last time i ho there.

This KID MARK who works there gave me the WORST service I ever had. I buy Auto parts ALOT. in places such as O' Reilly ,Napa,auto Zone,Pep Boys, international ect.I am a mechanic, and decided to go to this store since it was close to where I had a job to do..this KiD gave me a attitude and began arguing with me because I asked him to help me find a European power steering fuel.he send to go look for it myself. I went, I couldn't find it .so I asked once again if he could help me and he said "how can't you find it".I looked him confused and said" I can't find it".so he comes out with a DOG attitude goes directly to where the fuel is.... gets it (Because HE OBVIOUSLY works there and knows where things are)and responds me with a "ARE YOU GOING TO PAY FOR IT?".... unnecessary honestly and I WILL NEVER be entering that STORE to Buy Anything with MY MONEY ever again I am highly annoyed and dissatisfied with the service I received and employes like him should not be allowed to work in a customer service environment..

Gotta get a little bit more friendlier should be like Spring street auto parts used to be need more intelligent workers I know what they want they're doing and they can speak a little bit better English language would give them company a better percentage of selling a customer Take it from a man that runs a business that's been established for 75 years and my father starand still going but I have over after him passing I would give you all my business if you would just step up to the plate and hire better staff

Tyeashaa F. was fantastic! I came in around 330 - 4 pm Sunday and asked for help buying the right wiper blades. She found the ones I needed, gave me advice on which ones were better than others and went outside in the cold and snow to put them on my car for me. I am so grateful for her help!

Went to return a can of Freon that was never opened. The seal was never broke. The clerk held the can and said it was empty. He picked up a new can in the store to compare weight per my request and said "it was a little light". I told him I lost the receipt and had the card. He typed my phone number in the system and could not be found and said I couldn't return it. My name wouldn't be in the system because I'm not a member. I don't know any chain store that only allows return with a receipt and not with credit card. Going to avoid autopart in the future.

I ordered one "DieHard Platinum AGM" battery at 2:55pm on 06/15/2022.- According to the store website, the item was in stock. However, when I got there and called them at 5:43pm they told me they needed to locate the item.- I also requested an installation, but the employee who answered my phone informed me that they were the only employee present in the store and therefore could not offer me an installation (free installation is advertised when you are actually making a purchase).- After about 20 minutes, when they brought me the battery, it was a "DieHard Silver" battery! DieHard Silver is two models cheaper than DieHard Platinum. When I noticed it was the wrong battery, they took it back inside.- After about another 20 minutes, another employee came outside and let me know that they did not have the Platinum battery. I asked them to return the signed receipt. They offered an explanation as to why they should not return the signed receipt that was not logical on any level and asked me to follow them inside the store. I had to keep my car running because my battery was almost dead.- Inside the store, I got the signed receipt from the first employee but this made the second employee upset and they displayed an unpleasant behavior.- The second employee did not offer a refund nor asked what my preference would be in dealing with the situation and started contacting another store. After about 10 minutes, they told me I needed to go to another Advanced Auto Parts store in Everett, MA.- I received the battery in the store in Everett about 7:00pm but I had received an email from the store in Medford with the subject "Your Item has Been Picked Up" at 5:53pm.- I helped the employee in the Everett store to replace my battery. They were not skillful but I did not mind helping them at all. However, I have to mention that during the replacement there was a spark which I did not appreciate. I am mentioning this last point because I think it is the responsibility of Advanced Auto Parts to train their employees and not just advertise free battery installation.I am giving Advanced Auto Parts in Medford two stars and not one because eventually I got the battery. However, it certainly did not go as well as one might have expected.

Well stocked store in an easy to find location. Staff was helpful, but not super friendly or professional. Not rude, but dismissive. Still, they had what I needed and the staff was as helpful as they needed to be. Not the worst Experiance, but far from a good one either. Don't avoid, but don't go in expecting a friendly or courteous Experiance.

I went to another store to return a battery jumper I thought I needed to jump my car, but was able to get if started without it and never used it, still had the box and original packaging but could not find the receipt and the store said I found it they would take it back. I find the receipt and bring it to Malden, and they refuse to take it back, despite nothing on the box, receipt, return policy, or sign in the store. I went back to the original store that took it back no problem.

The customer service at the Medford location is beyond poor. Most staff members are not interested in helping you nor are they very friendly when they do so. I tend to buy all of parts and accessories on Advance s website for in store pickup because of the coupons they offer and to minimize the amount of time I spend with associate who could care less or claim Advance does not sell what I am looking to purchase. Even when I purchase online, my in store order is not pulled, whether it be several hours or days later (which is not a huge deal, just annoying). I like the brand, just not this store.

Despite the giant banner indicating free battery installation, the employee helping me during checkout told me they don t do that here. Another employee came by and said Let s check it out, if it s easy to reach we can do it. (It was easily accessible) He then proceeded to tell me that he had his lunch break now (this was at 4:30PM mind you) so he left me stranded there.I went back inside and found yet another employee, Angel, who was eager to help me out and couldn t believe the other employee just left me hanging. Angel was fantastic and super helpful with this, and he is the only reason I m not providing a one-star rating!Update: demoted to one-star as they closed ten minutes before they were scheduled to. Waste of time.

I went in on a Wednesday afternoon and was the only person in the store. I went to the counter to ask the worker for assistance in choosing lightbulbs for my headlights and breaks. He informed me that he was the only one in the store and couldn t assist me and told me that I needed to go to another store. All I wanted was the information on which bulbs to buy, which I m sure could have been looked up on the computer. The guy there was extremely unhelpful and very rude.

Hi my name is Edi just bought a battery for my pick up truck Ford F-150 last Friday because I thought my truck battery was bad but the problem was the starter. I went there today to return the buttery because I didn t even use it and they did not return it. I never ever have seen return policy like this store before and I ll never ever go to buy things from this store anymore. They did not even want to check the buttery it I used it or not they just told me it s already used because I bought it that is so stupid

After calling all over the Boston area to track down a part, because their inventory is INCORRECT, I arrive at the MEDFORD location at 7:52 ONLY TO FIND THE DOORS ARE LOCKED... THEY CLOSED TEN MINUTES EARLY, and COMPLETELY RUIN MY NIGHT. After I spoke to Wilson on the phone explaining I was coming to pick up said part. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL

Do not buy anything at this particular store unless you want them to give you the wrong parts and then after they give you the wrong Parts have them refuse to help you. Quite honestly the worst experience I've ever had at a aftermarket store coming from someone with over 15 years Automotive experience purely pathetic was the service I received at this store that didn't want to help me because there was 20 minutes left on the clock even though another Advance Auto with that same 20 minutes was able to locate the right parts and then order two different types just in case one was wrong and then have it ready for me the next day do not even waste your time with this store the person who had spoken to Harold clearly doesn't know how to do his job and doesn't know what he's doing thank you for the most horrible experience I will be telling everybody about your store

Couldn't find what i needed was told to try somewhere else. But that wasn't my problem. One of the workers kept creepily staring at me and would look away when id look back. But i could LITERALLY see him staring. Creeped me out big time.

Stay far away from the Medford Store at Townline Plaza, Joe the Manager is Greedy, Nothing can be returned without a Headache, Have the Slip and proof of Purchase, Still not enough to satisfy him, I will never shop there again, Amazon or Oreilly from now on
