If you want to pay extra, that s the place. I went for inspection and they said my windshield wiper has to be changed. The price was 25$ for each and I had to pay the inspection fee even though it was failed. Purchased two wipers from amazon and changed, after waiting long time they said we are at the lunch now and come back again later. Finally I got the inspection sticker but I don t recommend this place at all.

I pull up to the service center and ask the mechanic for an ETA on how long it would be before he pulled my car in for an oil change. He says this aint jiffy lube, I didn't appreciate his tone at all so I went to Jiffy lube and was seen quickly.

SCAMSCAMSCAMRUN AWAY! They will do EVERYTHING to charge you with a higher price.I brought my car and he failed me the STATE INSPECTION by making executes thay my tires are bad. When I refused and went to change the tires by myself, he got angry. For my second inspection, I got charge $57 for a lightbulb.

Got upcharged $50 for wipers when taking car in to get inspected. I will not be going back, as they were not transparent about pricing.We had told the mechanic we had wipers at home but were not allowed to get them. The attendant inside was friendly. Overall a negative experience though.

Terrible communication and unfriendly service. Was told to bring my car in and that they had availability to see to it. Brought in Wednesday, told it should be done by Thursday afternoon. Expressed my need for a speedy return of the vehicle and that I would leave it with them, since they assured me they could look at it. Thursday afternoon rolls around, I have to reach out to inquire about status, they then notify my that the shop is down a compressor and that they need someone to come in and repair it. Friday morning I go in to ask if they have an estimate of when it will be done. Front desk person is coloring at the register and gives me attitude about asking for an update. Get told they are down a mechanic for the day and it might be 1pm or 5pm. Call at 430pm for an update and am told they ran out of Freon and xar wont be ready until their Freon guy comes in sometime Saturday morning. Went in to pick up vehicle Saturday just before they close at 1pm, after not hearing from them and was given terrible attitude again at the front desk. Will never return here again.

The first time I called and set up an appointment, I was given incorrect info, but a black gentleman wish I remembered his name, explained the process and that I needed to reschedule because of the type of car I have. He was very nice and tried to accommodate me every way possible. The day of the appointment, they took great care of my car. I m definitely going back for my next oil change or any other service provided.Service: Oil change

SCAM!!!!! These guys let me bring my car here knowing they don t do wheel alignments. I also brought the wrong tires, but they still decided to take my car apart just so they can charge me for the work they did. THEY DIDN T DO ANY WORK ON MY CAR & THEY MADE ME GIVE THEM $120 TO GET MY CAR BACK. I am not the one that leaves bad reviews, but this experience was ridiculous. Go spend your money on people who actually have experience and don t rip their customers off.Services: Tires, Tire rotations, Oil change

Arthur s Sunoco has knowledgeable mechanics that offer clear explanations of the services needed. I also had the serpentine drive belt replaced and I get my annual inspections done here. Hector tried to scam me! Needed a new alternator tried to charge $650.00. He said he would work with me on pricing but wouldn t go lower than $575.00. To make matters worse, I declined the service but he charged $115.00 for his time. Mike and Eleanor was super nice. Great customer service from them. To the point where she made me promise to call her when I reached home safe because she didn t think the car would make it. That was really sweet of her. I would think twice before using this Sunoco location. I went to the Sunoco in Brockton and got the same problem fixed for $380.00

I had been using this place for years for service and inspections. Unfortunately, ownership has changed. The new owner is slow in inspections. I arrived at 10:50 for an inspection and was told about 30 minutes. I waited and talked to another person who was waiting. The other person told me that the owner doesn't seem to care about how long he keeps his customers waiting. She has been there before and waited. It wasn't until 12:50 that I got my inspection. I will be looking for another place now.

Very family friendly place. They truly try to help you out and the environment is so relaxing. Whether they try to get you in and out due to emergency. Or you have time to chat with everyone while getting an expectation sticker or oil change.

I had a wonderful experience at Arthur s Sunoco. I knew I needed serious brake work because the grinding sound of metal on metal every time I touched my brakes sounded like the Titanic scraping against the iceberg. I arrived at 8:30 am on a busy Saturday without an appointment, and they were so great to fit me in! The whole job was wrapped up by 2. Special thanks to Wallace at the front desk who is so positive, super customer-service oriented and a breath of sunshine! The price was reasonable and they really took care of me. (PS the Lexus dealer couldn t see me for 2 weeks). One note: don t use the on-line reservation system. It auto-generates an email confirming your appointment, but that is not coming from the station, and they don t see it. You have to call.Will go back there for sure!Service: Brakes

I've come here now several times, whether for a sticker, oil change, or service when my check engine light came on. Each time I was dealt with honestly and professionally - and all the staff are so friendly! I fully recommend them.I have a slight advantage because I have certified mechanics in my family (out of town) that I can talk to about problems before bringing my car in for service, or that I've brought my car to after Arthur's has diagnosed an issue. Each time their diagnoses and recommendations are exactly in line with what I was told to expect and at a price I expected as well. I use Arthur s Sunoco to obtain my annual state inspection sticker this year my brakes failed inspection. I visited Arthur Sunoco a couple of saturdays ago to fix my wheel which was missing 3 lug nuts somehow (NOT due to them). I called that morning about a half hour after they opened and asked them if they could do that for me. They said they could see me right away and that I should come down. I went down and they made me wait around for a quote for an hour, they then finally looked at my car and started working on it before I even heard a quote. I went to ask for a quote again and that took another 15 minutes. I had to get to work so I told them to call me when it s done. They called me a couple hours later saying it was ready for pick up. I was relieved and surprised it took so short. I ended up Ubering back to the shop to get my car after work, got my keys from the clerk and went to my car and noticed it was still missing one of the three lug nuts I needed on there. I turned back to ask what happened and why it wasn t fixed and the clerk had no clue. He called the mechanic and the mechanic finally explained that they needed to fix the bolt on the last one as it was stripped and they were ordering the part and would call me. The 4 out of 5 lug nuts should be fine for the time being. 3 days later I get a text asking how they did and explained I was still waiting for my part. I got a call, and the mechanic in the other end (different one now) told me there was no such order and that he would put it in that day. That was a week and a half ago and I still haven t heard a word, quite frankly want nothing to do with them any longer. Going elsewhere. Terrible communication throughout and no regard for your personal time. Won t go there again.

I was very pleased with my experience. Everyone was super nice. The issue with my Jeep was explained in detail over the phone with and estimated cost before work was completed. Price was very fair and the repair was made same day. All the staffs are nice and polite. The gentle man at the front is the best I've ever seen, they all work together and they make sure that their customers are happy. I will highly recommend this place if you need any work to be done on your car.Thanks guys , keep up with the good work.

Do not bring your car to this place. Mike is one of the mechanics and is the definition of a shady business man. I brought my fianc�s car there as it wasn t starting. When i jumped it, the car started fine. I drove it to the shop and mike called me to tell me it needed a new starter as he couldn t get it started before he could look at anything else but he didn t realize I started it the day before with a simple jump, he thought I got it towed there. He then just kept the lie going saying he had to tap on the starter to get it started which isn t true, starts fine with a jump( or a new battery). I came to pick the car up and he helped me jump it and it started right up, he was super embarrassed but never took the opportunity to admit his mistake. I thought it wouldn t start with a jump Mike?. Then charged me $150 fee because he said they had to push it in the garage yet they have multiple jumping cables there. So he quoted me 1k for a starter and battery. I took it down the street to have a real mechanic take a look at it and I was right, only needed a new battery. So $200 for a new battery and $150 to pay mikes bills still $350 is better than 1k plus no telling what else he was going to start making up! Dodged a bullet, always get a second opinion especially when dealing with a guy like mike who can t look you in the eye or can t keep a consistent story. Good luck Mike!Services: Electrical, Battery

I took my girlfriend's car to Arthur's Sunoco at 70 River Street in Mattapan, MA this morning for an oil change and MA state inspection. When I picked up the car this afternoon I became concerned about the bill. It was confusing and filled with questionable charges. After discussing my concerns with the clerk and the performing mechanic, I was told that one of the charges would be removed. However, when I got a revised bill my total actually went up because of an additional set of charges that weren't applied on the first bill. Further, the charge that the clerk agreed to removed remained and was actually higher. He told me that this charge ("supplies") was determined on a percentage basis, but it wasn't clear what the percentage was, what part of the bill the percentage was based on, or what "supplies" even meant.I'm also concerned about some questionable practices that the performing mechanic engaged in without receiving my or my girlfriend's permission, including taking a test drive (not a standard practice for an oil change), advising me of front brake work that needed to be done without actually pointing out the wear when I picked up the car, and changing the front wiper blades without our authorization (the performing mechanic said it was necessary in order for the car to pass inspection). Yet, the rear wiper blade is clearly damaged, so why wasn't that wiper blade changed, too? Wouldn't that be necessary to pass inspection for the same reason as the front two wiper blades?In summary, I feel like Arthur's Sunoco is engaging in questionable business practices that are designed to obfuscate and overcharge its customers, and I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Absolutely delighted with the service rendered- I had always taken my vehicle to the dealer. Unresponsivenes from dealer to schedule an appointment for service took me to schedule an appointment at Arthur's Sunoco. Best decision-Customer service, technician courtesy and above all the outcome - my vehicle is running smoothly. Highly recommended.....

These guys are total scammers. Don t trust them! I brought my car in to change brakes and rotors and they ended up changing the oil for $90 which I just replaced a week ago. They even removed my current sticker which said it was already done. They lied and said I told them to do it.When I confronted the owner about it he ended up hanging up on me and said I asked for the additional work. They never called me to say the work was done either. I would highly suggest to use Abdon s in Quincy instead Never again!

The people were nice, but not all that communicative. I had to call into them to get updates - didn't necessarily feel like a priority. Had to bring my car in twice to resolve one issue (wrongly assessed my car, and after paying $600 for a new starter, it turned out I didn't need a new starter). Since the 2nd visit, my car alarm has been going off at random times (never been an issue before). When I called to ask if they could look at it, they told me they don't work on car alarms, but they'd have someone call me back. I had to call multiple times to finally get an answer.

This is the BEST place to go for any auto issues or repairs. The staff is amazing and it is so refreshing to go to a place that you can trust! They are so friendly and their work is awesome. I took my car there a few times and my car is running like brand new. From the moment I called I knew this place was going to be great. I spoke with Arlene and Rasheed the owner and they were both warm and knowledgeable about my Pruis. At other places I called they quoted me close to $400 to even look at my Prius. When I got there they quickly ran diagnostics on my car and figured out what was wrong; I wasn t in town long so they gave me a fair price and worked quickly to fix it. The owner even drove to the store himself to get the part needed to fix my car. While my car was being worked I had great conversations with the folks that worked there. Mike ended up doing most of the work on my car and I left feeling like I was driving a brand new car. They charged me exactly what they quoted me. I currently live in Maine but I ll probably drive to Boston to get my car fixed here.
