Broken down on Mass Pike! I was fortunate enough to find and call Rt 85 transmission company. Bob was professional and accommodating. The following day my issue was diagnosed and the day after that I was ready to go! Trust is so important because none of us are mechanics. We rely on experts that are HONEST. You can trust these people.

They are the most knowledgeable transmission crew in the area. They are the only people we trust to work on our Nissan's problematic CVT. The took great care of my fiance and made sure she wasn't mislead or taken advantage of... many mechanics are quick to take advantage of a person that is less knowledgeable or inexperienced. The crew at Rt 85 Transmission, is trustworthy and reliable. I highly recommend their services.

brought my 2011 subaru impreza wrx in for transmission repair. ordered a remanufactured transmission. also needed a resurfaced flywheel service and new clutch. took some time and alot of money but got installed and finished a little earlier than i expected. seemed fine when i drove off the lot, clutch is good, transmission feels perfect ( they did not do the trans rebuild themselves). 4 days later, the front suspension gave out while i was driving (on rt 126 about 30 mph). car was sitting on the wheel, fender banged out, etc. collision repair team found the carter pins that hold the nut on the ball joints holding the suspension together were missing both left and right side. these would have been removed to pull the front axels out of the transmission to replace it. luckily only the left side gave out on a side road. however, i was on 495 doing 80+ miles an hour a day before, imagine if the suspension failed at that point because of missing carter pins. I'd be dead, and so would the car ( the whole point of paying for a transmission rebuild was to keep the car alive). i'm no mechanic, but if there are carter pins holding critical components together on a car, the mechanic that did the work should maybe check a couple times that the carter pins are replaced properly, yunno, basic safety... I know this because automotive repair programs on tv harp on this exact subject a lot, and i watch alot of the shows. I severly doubt they fell out after i started driving, the whole point is they don't fall out so the nut doesn't back out. Could have saved alot of extra time and money on collision repair following this event if someone bothered to make sure the 50 cent cater pins were put back in place before releasing the car to me. needless to say, bring extra carter pins with you , check their work yourself before you drive it (you should not have to but....) or just find a better transmission shop in the first place.Service: Transmission

I am in charge of a large fleet of vehicles. Every repair/overhaul I've ever had done by Rt 85 transmission has been fantastic. In an industry known for repeat repairs due to the complexity of the tasks, I've yet to have a failure. It is also a pleasure to deal with Eric and Bob, everyone I've ever sent to them has come back with extremely positive feedback. Two thumbs up for Rt 85 transmission.

There is no better place to go to in Marlboro, for all your vehicle needs. There guys are the real deal and get it done the first time with a smile! The shop is super clean and they have a proper waiting room, also down the hill is a decent place to eat if you don't want to wait in the waiting room, thanks guys!
