I can only speak to my experience, but I believe I was being scammed. I brought my car in for inspection, only for it to be failed for being "too loud", and some issue with my muffler. Oh, and all of a sudden my engine light is on when they bring it out. No, it was not on when I took it in - of course it wouldn't pass inspection with it being on! I took my car back to my mechanic who ran it on the computer and everything came up fine to pass. Took it to another place and got my sticker no problem, everything passed with flying colors. Both auto shops confused as to why it would have failed. Save your money, don't bring your car here.

I moved to MA from out of state. I had window tint that is not within MA requirements. They were very polite about testing my windows and letting me know that I can't pass. I got the work done and called about returning. Again, they nicely informed me that I needed to have the MA tags on my car before the inspection. They were super friendly when I arrived and remembered me from the previous Saturday. I passed the inspection and they were friendly the entire time. As I read in other reviews, the lot is TINY and the waiting area is also very small but I was in and out so fast that it wasn't a big deal. There are testing places much closer to my home but they had been so nice when I stopped by on the first visit, that I wanted to return to them.

Came in on a Tuesday at midday for an inspection. I was able to fit this into my work day with no issue as there was no line and they were efficient getting me in and out. The whole process took less than 30 minutes.

They do state inspection $35 and even uber/lyft certification $15. The parking lot is very tight and there are 2 chairs to wait. No free wifi. But it's downtown malden so you can tun errands and prices seem reasonable

got towed into this place from the recommendation of monro up the street. not only did he not fix my truck it runs significantly worse than before. this shop/mechanic is TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. since having my truck towed to my house ive had to replace the distributor, radiator, IAC, and calibrate the ignition timing myself and I'm still having trouble getting the idle down, which is a new problem. AVOID.

Should ve listened to other people s reviews. They will find reasons to purposely fail your inspection. They slashed my tire and failed my inspection. They also told me to pay in cash. THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND ROBBERS!!!! Avoid!!!

This place is fantastic. My car was making a terrible noise so I brought it to another shop where I've had brakes and a tie rod done. Good ole Jimmy is a brake guy and to the man with a hammer, every problem is a nail. New pads and rotors, same terrible noise. Back to Jimmy who tells me he cleaned and greased it. Sure, why not. Sounded a lot better but still an odd noise. That odd noise turned into a terrifying grinding in a few hours. I've had enough of ole Jimbo but I paid for a job to be done and I wanted it done so back to Jimmie boy I go. He takes it all apart and finally admits that his hammer doesn't work on this particular nail. And he recommends Eastern auto repair in Malden. Two days later and it's good as new. I'm convinced they didn't repair anything and just moved all my junk to the exact same place in a new car. And they got it done for $100 under the estimate. Skip dealing your own Jimmy and come here first.

I got a recommendation for this place for inspection from Monro Tires. Eastern Auto Repair had me in and out for my inspection in under 30 min and took my car right when I pulled up. They were courteous and efficient. Would absolutely recommend.

AVOID AT ALL COST. I got ripped off! They did not provide the service I needed and took my money. They also said to pay in CASH. What is this shady business???

Had my van for 9 days. tells me it was the coil and charged me $900 told me there's all different systems .players the speak English card when i asked what he did. Over and over i check diagnostic .if it took 9 hour to figure out ot was a coil. Stay far away from here. Out right robbed me. My van broke a week later with same issue .he fixed nothing...

Andr� was very kind and offered a fair price on my brake job. He also tuned up my caliper instead of charging me to replace like the dealer suggested.

I dropped my car off at 11AM yesterday for an oil change and sticker. I was told it would be 2 hours. No call and no answer with a full VM. I finally got through 4 hours later only to be told the mechanic was at lunch - at 3PM and would need another hour which I didn't have. I got there to pick it up and the mechanic said he couldn't find my registration that why he didn't do any of the work - which was in the glove box and no call to ask where to find it. No apology - just rude and incompetent.

Really terrible and horrible shop. They will fail your inspection with all kinds of excuses which can definitely pass in any other stores and want you to repair and pay. Maybe even you bring a brand new car and they can still fail it. DO NOT GO there. They are robbers.

Worst experience I ever had in my life. I went in to fix my brakes and was charged $400 for nothing. The breaks continued to give me problems. They are thieves!! Do your research and go somewhere else.

I do inspection. I changed the brake pads and discs last year and spent several hundred dollars. Then he said this year that my brake system failed and did not pass my inspection. Then the 35 dollars is still only cash, which is terrible.bye bye this store

SCAMMERS!!! They ARE THIEVES! AVOID AT ALL COSTS, their inspection stickers are also CASH ONLY, they will fail you for any reason just to have you come back to ''pass'' you next time in other words they try to get paid twice. STAY AWAY!

They were going to charge me 656 for one shock and if you cant tell, I was Shocked!!. It wasn't a luxury vehicle, just a Mazda 3. GO THERE AT YOUR OWN RISK, GOOD LUCK

Tough guy auto mechanics running a tight shop. They do clean, reliable work, and come recommended by other local auto repair shops. What more could you ask for?

Dont go here for an inspection. Purposely failed me to try and upsell me on a rear brake job. Wont be going back again.

They are definitely stealing people money, I want to this shop to fix Problem in my car They said you have to replace this and charge a lot of money for it then the problem does not fix and then I went back to them and they told me you have replace that after they replaced my is getting worse then I went to different mechanics shop to what is going on with my car and I found out they are trying just charge me a lot of money for labor and I have to sue them to get my money back, they are absolutely thieves
