If you re looking to be scammed, this is the place for you!Had our car towed in for a no-start. They correctly diagnosed the starter needed replacement, and offered a remanufactured (rebuilt) starter for $350 or a new one for $550 plus labor. New Bosch ones are $150 on RockAuto and I understand parts stores charge more, but a new one was $370 at Oreilys, where he said they order from. Anyways, after authorizing the reman, they call later to say the starter doesn t work and they forgot to tell us there s no warranty on the reman, but since they didn t tell us, they would try again for free - but if it didn t work again, I d have to pay for the labor twice. Luckily the second worked . While they re not wrong for that policy, no reputable business doesn t warranty the parts they provide - that s why you pay their markup on parts because they re taking the risk!What s worse, the car came back with a check engine light on for an emissions issue. When I suggested maybe a sensor didnt get plugged back in, they claimed it was on when it got there and they forgot to mention it. They said it was a knock sensor code and it was no where near the starter they worked on. They refused to even look at it without charging us. I finally had the time to crawl under there and found the knock sensor unplugged, right above the starter!These guys are proven liars, and now I would question if that first started was bad of if they were looking for a quick way to double charge me or upsell on that new starter. I would never recommend these cheats to anyone. They came recommended from a relative of theirs, and I had to tell them our experience and they were appalled. Hopefully their family hears how they lie and scam.

I was referred to the Brake Stop Shop by my mechanic of 30+ years when he retired. Al and Paul are great. They are helpful, timely and get the job done the right way. Got a referral from my go to garage (Stansfield Tire) because my job was labor intensive, under that dash and tricky (Bad actuator which controls heat and ac vents between floor and vents etc) Made an appointment for a day later Al diagnosed and repaired that day for a very reasonable price.I would definitely use them again.Service: Electrical

I honestly can t speak highly enough about this place. I m a broke college student, working full time and taking too many classes to get a second job and was PANICKING about paying for repairs for my car so it would pass inspection this month and run well enough for me to get back and forth from my job to continue making money to pay for it. They really took care of me, accommodated me with my time that I needed the repairs done based on my schedule and were just overall genuine and honest about what was wrong with my car. I spent the weekend nervous over how much it was going to cost and the level of relief I got in seeing the price and feeling how good my car ran after was indescribable. Telling everyone and definitely coming back. And also, I m a 25 year old girl and they didn t treat me like I was stupid so that s a BIG improvement to most places I ve been.Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic
