Great shop!!! Highly recommended. I will be returning for more work and regular maintenance after my initial experience here.I had the following done:-Side mirror color match and repair from a collision-Installation APR intake-Installation Milltek high-flow downpipe-APR engine tuneWork was done promptly, car was washed and cleaned upon return, good price, and great customer service.The workshop is also beautiful. If you like performance German autos, then don't miss out!

Dylan and crew are outstanding mechanics that can perform routine service such as oil change through complex engine replacement and everything in between. If you want total satisfaction and know who your mechanic s name every time you have your service performed, there are nobody better than Auto Engineering. I can HIGHLY recommend if you are in the Lexington MA area and I know customers travels from long distances to have their cars looked after by them too.

Quite an expensive place by some margins. It feels like, you pay for the location i.e., Lexington. They charged me whopping $700+ just for performing engine failure diagnosis on my Audi Q7 and took 4 days to confirm the same, while another engineering location did the same diagnosis for free within 10-15 min (after I towed my car out of this location). When I called few other locations, they offered to do it for free as well. Moreover, this location s quotes to install another engine were about 40% higher for both new and used engines, compared to 3 other German car engineering stations in nearby area (all equally qualified and efficient) - to my surprise, even Audi in Burlington turned out to be a bit cheaper despite their brand new engine only quote.. These guys are well behaved, but I would stay away due to their way too high prices.

Rick and the team at AE have been super knowledgeable and helpful during my time with them servicing an '08 Audi R8. I can't think of a better group to have as a resource in the Boston area. Would highly recommend working with them, especially for any tricky problems or higher end vehicles, but I know they do a great job with standard maintenance and your daily driver as well!

Auto Engineering was a fantastic help when my wife had an automotive emergency on 12/28. They were quick to fix the problem and get her back on the road. Shaun and the whole team couldn't have been nicer. Highly recommended

Excellent spot for all your BMW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, VW, and other euro car brand needs. The staff here is super friendly and they do excellent quality work. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable about the cars they work on, they actually care too! All the staff here are true car enthusiasts and that is reflected by the other non maintenance and repair services they offer such as apr tunes and other performance upgrades. I ve had nothing but great experiences here and I highly recommended this place!

I have been bringing my cars to AutoEngineering for years both for regular maintenance and performance tuning. The AE team meets expectations on all levels. Everybody demonstrates professionalism, expertise, passion for the craft, kindness, humor, honesty and quality. Moreover, the AE team is accommodating when making appointments.When you walk into the shop, you will feel the Adrenaline rush through your veins as you get surrounded by the Audi R8s and RSes in the waiting area. You will also get intoxicated by the [lovely] sounds of German cars going in and out of the shop all day long.AE is a true gem in the greater Boston area. Huge shoutout to everyone on the team.

No where else around touches AE it s the nicest shop, newest and best equipment, best techs, and they have awesome customer service. It s nice to have a place where you get what you pay for, especially having dealt with dealerships in the past.The only place I trust in Massachusetts to work on cars. They literally just had my 22 911 on the lift the other day with less than 25 miles on it to mount snow tires with the specialty tools required these are the only guys I would trust. Flawless work on my 992, 991 GT3RS and 981 Cayman S also. Rick, the owner, is a true car guy and Porsche fanatic (even though we know he loves his Audi s too). I proudly rock their plate frame on my vehicles.5/5 stars, we re lucky to have AE around.

First time here, although it took a smidge longer than Intended. The team was friendly and efficient, the facility is impressive, and the work was done well. Nothing negative worth noting after inspecting my car. And courtesy hand wash and vac to boot.

Auto engineering is a top notch shop with wonderful employees. I had a clutch install that turned into chasing some gremlins from a previous owner. Throughout the entire process communication was incredible and they were able to help sort out plenty of issues. Shaun was a wonder to work with and was incredibly patient as things progressed. I won't trust another shop in the future!

Great shop and great service. Thank you Rick and Brandon for keeping my car running great. Shaun has also been great talking me through the repairs and getting work scheduled. Always a pleasure working with these guys.Before and After of a Carbon Clean on my GTI. Car ran like brand new after!

Got me in same day (within an hour!) for a tune. Even gave good free advice when I noted I was going to do my own brake job this weekend. Didn't try to upsell me on doing the work there. Also heard them tell another customer not to spend money on fixing a minor oil leak as it hadn't gotten worse since the last visit.All around thumbs up. Will definitely bring my car back for future work. Oh, and the two r8s and the built 337 GTI in the waiting room didn't hurt either!

Auto Engineering is the number one automotive shop hands down. I own an e46 M3 and they've done my rod bearings, VANOS bulletproofing, control arms, drive shaft after another shop COMPLETELY messed up the center support bearing replacement, the list continues. Done right the first time, no questions asked. Ask for Emil Rhodin, he's their BMW Master Tech there and has been in the business for over a decade. The guys over there are great dudes that really know their ins and outs of Audi's, Porsche's, Volkswagen's and of course BMW's. I love just chatting cars with them as well, they're all enthusiasts, which to me is also really important to consider they're treating my car like their own. So many shops I've gone to before treat my car like it is: not theirs. And I can't stand that. These guys treat my car like I would and that goes a LONG way with me. I can't recommend them enough. Had my first experience with Auto Engineering today. From booking the appointment to having the service done, it was a great experience. Shaun was extremely helpful and professional. All I was having done was a programming of my daughters A4 brake module and when I went to pick it up I noticed it was washed and the interior was vacuumed! Top notch shop, amazing customer service in a timely manner and very reasonable. I highly recommend Auto Engineering.Service: Electrical repair

Awesome service. They told me exactly what they'd do and how long it would take. Very friendly, effective, and comfortable place to hang out and work while my car was being inspection. They also have all kinds of delicious snacks and beverages.

The best around! Professional, timely, meticulous, folks over at Auto Engineering are seriously the gurus of german vehicles. If your beloved car is requiring some love and care, bring it here. Had them perform a serious laundry list of maintenance to my S3 and not only was it performed in a single day, but they included a loaner and washed/detailed my car without mention. Can't wait for the next time!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Set up an appointment with them and had to bail on it, but Auto Engineering already ordered parts for me. They ate the $170 fee for me without question and were very helpful with my questions. Will definitely go here next time I need my car worked on.Updating again after 1.5 years or so, my S3 has been worked on by Auto Engineering 3-4x in that time for oil changes and the larger 40K mile service.Knowing this shop is near by is the reason I feel comfortable owning a used Audi in Boston. The team is awesome and I'm always happy to pay what they charge as it's always more than reasonable. Can't say the same for any dealer I've been to.

This is a great shop with great people. I recently had my first experience with Auto Engineering, a simple oil change, and Rick (one of the owners) reached out to me a few hours later to check in and ensure that all was well. Absolutely an AMAZING SHOP! I brought my 2018 GTI in for a stage 3 clutch. These guys banged it out so fast and perfect! They also did an alignment on my car since I put coil overs in last weekend. Customer service was amazing and everyone I spoke too was super friendly and helpful! I couldn t recommend this shop any more! It s the place to go for your Euro needs! I definitely found my shop! It s also beautiful and super clean with some amazing rides to check out while waiting!

AE (Auto Engineering) is the place to go if you have a German vehicle. Rick and his team are funny, awesome dudes and they do exceptional work. Shaun, is easy to work with because he is clear in communication and progress of the work being done on the vehicle, the best service manager I have ever had. I have been a client of AE for over 3 years and Dylan, the main man, who works on my vehicle, has done everything from simple routine maintenance, to modifying my vehicle. Exhaust, turbo kit just to name a couple. Dude can do it all. Rick and team are top notch. I've had them do a few different jobs and had exemplary service. For example, I had a split boot on an axle, and they replaced with an OEM aftermarket part, which was causing some issues, and they replaced it with 0 hassles 6 months later. That replacement then failed, which they then replaced with an OE part from the manufacturer again with no labor charges, only the cost difference of the OE part. Now she's running smooth! I'll be back when any of my German cars need service.Service: Steering & suspension repair
