I was having troubles with my exhaust and was fully planning on having to replace the whole muffler at my other shop but came here instead since i had heard wonderful reviews and recommendations. Was very glad i did! Ended up not needing a whole new muffler in the end and was on my way within the hour! Very pleased with the experience i had and i will definitely be coming back :)

I have always great customer service and service for my car here. But, I had to write because of what happened today. Holly, the service manager, went above and beyond with her customer service. Even though I live one town over, she went out of her way to drive me home and back because she knew I had a long wait for my car. Thank you Holly for your exceptional and excellent service.

We spent a long, cold, rainy morning dealing with a screw in the tire of a rental car and the rental company sent us here.Holly was kind, compassionate, and friendly. Although the tire itself was not repairable and they did not have the replacement in stock, Holly had the tire changed to the spare. She invited us to stay in the warm waiting area while I waited on hold with the rental company, and chatted with us making us feel completely at ease.We lost an entire day of travel being sent by the rental company to other tire places and eventually to the Providence airport, but Holly's warmth, kindness, and generosity were a bright spot what would have otherwise been a stressful and dismal day.In a world filled with corporate rental car companies, call centers, unfriendly and anonymous customer service, and waiting on hold for 45 minutes for roadside assistance it is comforting to know that there are also friendly places with staff like Holly, who Munro should do everything in their power to keep on staff!

My daughter needed a new exhaust before she had her car inspected. Monro in kingston not only squeezed her in but gave her the best deal possible. I can not thank them enough for everything Scott and his staff did for us. Update 4/10/24 have gone here for my tires back In September had small leak they tried to reseal it the other day and still didn t work so I ended up getting it replaced under warranty but everyone there was so helpful

Extremely frustrated with Monro. I ve been having brake issues for the past 3 months and have brought it to Monro twice to be fixed. I am continuing to have issues after 2 repairs. Their evaluations are not thorough and they quickly give you a diagnosis. If my entire braking system was looked at from day one, I don t think I would have spent nearly as much as I have fixing my brakes, nor would I still be having issues 3 months later. Considered bringing it back to have them correct their issues but don t trust them. Bringing my car elsewhere.

It is obvious that there is a new owner/manager of the store. I have been a customer since 2016 and have always had a great experience. Yesterday was my last trip to Monro in Kingston. I dropped my pick up truck off in the morning for an oil ,lube and filter change. The most expensive oil change I have ever had there was $60. I picked up my truck and was changed $146.08. I asked the manager if there had been anything else done to my truck. His answer " No ". I asked about the outrageous price and was clearly being " ripped off ". His explanation was " It's not the oil that is expensive, it's the additives to the oil " YEAH OK....over a 100% increase in price. Take my advice and stay as far away from this place as possible. I will be finding another shop to work on my truck.

Monroe was unable to remove the tire but the issue is custmer service. Unfortunately this is my first and last visit to Monroe. In for tire replacement, and after 3 calls and once in-person, it was clear the manager struggles dealing with customers. Abrasive nature and too many other shops in area to choose from. The next morning the towing company I called to move car to another shop had a worse experience. Very unprofessional to refer to anyone as "dear". She called to ensure there was not a balance owed before towing. I can't speak to the remaining staff or quality of work.

Scott was outstanding - I made the appointment for brake service on a Sunday on-line for 4:30 PM on Monday. Scott phoned me first thing Monday morning and asked me if I could get there 30 minutes earlier to ensure any parts needed could be obtained before the end of the day. He didn't let me get all the way there then tell me the parts were not available. I loved his proactive approach to problem solving through problem *avoidance*. He was great to work with and I'll be back for all my regular maintenance and repairs as needed.

I had an appointment to get my brakes done. When I arrived, the place was closed. There was no call to cancel or reschedule. Maybe they were understaffed that day. I'm not sure, but it was very disappointing.

My daughter had some much needed work done on her car! Other places she went she was told to ignore the noise and turn up the radio! Scott and his team were able to find and fix the problem within minutes! They are very professional and courteous they took the time to look over the entire car for her and fix what needed to be fixed the right way the first time! She is very happy with the work that was done and she will be going there for future work!! Great mechanics all around!!! I also had a great experience when I went there this morning for an oil change I was greeted with a friendly smile great conversation while I waited for my oil change to be completed!

Well, you can chalk up another positive experience from a very satisfied customer of the Monro shop in Kingston; specifically for Scott. I had a good feeling as soon as I called and was greeted with a courteous, respectful and knowledgeable discussion. I needed a tire mounted and balanced on a wheel and while most of the bigger chains require an appointment (and in many cases won't even mount a tire not purchased from them), Scott assured me he would be able to get it taken care of that day. I dropped it off in the morning, and sure enough a couple of hours later I received a voicemail from him that it was all set and could be picked up anytime. When I arrived and opened my tailgate, Scott was already rolling the wheel out and carefully placed it in back of the car. Painless, quick, convenient hours, and I can't remember the last time I've been called 'sir' so frequently. My previous mechanic moved to North Carolina a few yers ago. It's nice to know there's a competent shop nearby I can rely on. Thanks again, Scott!

Car needed the flex pipe in exhaust replaced that cracked. Should be easy fix. They wanted $1000! to replace the catalytic converter and all the O2 sensors, none of which were malfunctioning. and gave me a bunch of lame "oh we will get all the parts at cost to us", which was not true when I checked the prices for parts they quoted me. And there was plenty of room to attach the flex pipe between the catalytic converter and muffler. And the rust was minimal. I declined, took it to Lou's and they totally did the job for less than $200. I crawled under the car and they did a great job welding and attaching the flex pipe. Typical manager and garage that will rip you off.

Great staff. True professionals. My daughters 2006 BMW X3 needed a lot of work. Scott assured me his crew would make this car safe and she would get many years out of it. Tyler diagnosed several problems including unsafe springs that had rotted out. He made sure this car was running like new.For honest / fair prices and a great crew. see these guys.Highly recommended. - PRB

Working with Scott and his team was an immense pleasure. I had to do some work in their waiting area and being able to talk to Scott and hear how his experience has been since Walter had retired, the respect and admiration I had heard he had for Walter and for the customers that he had the pleasure of working with was truly refreshing to hear. If you're looking for great work done, definitely stop in and have them take care of you. You will not be disappointed.

This may be a bit longer than most reviews (and I m not one to write these), yet felt compelled enough after my unfortunate (and unprofessional) experience today that is worth noting; especially if the owners genuinely care about their customers.Having never been a customer of Monro Muffler, my initial interest in choosing Monro was based upon the many good reviews that I read about their technicians, Ron and Tyler; which persuaded me in the door (I wished I had seen the negative reviews about Scott Martinelli). Once inside, I was greeted by what appeared to be a very courteous and polite gentleman by the name of Scott Martinelli. After explaining my needs and agreeing to drop off my vehicle for a no-cost inspection quote a few days out, I informed him that I had come to Monro based on the reviews I had read. He acknowledged and was appreciative of my interest and introduced himself as the Store Manager. I felt as though he had gained my trust with the little bit of pleasant conversation we shared. As planned, I dropped my vehicle off according to our agreed upon schedule. I received a quote from him and decided to go ahead with the work for the following Saturday. Scott called me the Thursday prior to confirm they were all set to do the work at 7:30 AM when they first open which reassured me of his commitment to customer satisfaction; I was elated at such transparency! He mentioned he was taking his first day off in 90 days and assured me that Ron was aware of where my parts were located and would do the work first thing when I arrived at 7:30.Wanting to plan my morning accordingly, I inquired of Scott about roughly how long the job would take. He informed me about an hour, hour and a half tops. I said that sounded great and thanked him for setting the expectation! When I arrived promptly at 7:30 the front door was locked and Deirdre (front counter help) greeted me outside to say she was waiting on Ron to show with the key. I mentioned that I would go for a walk and be back shortly. Upon returning from my 1.25 hour walk, I found my vehicle in the same spot I had parked it. Deirdre informed me that Ron was working on a different vehicle but mine would be next. And this is where I realized I had been snookered. What with all the transparent conversations Scott and I had could things have gotten so out of whack from when we spoke at 3PM Friday until closing at 6PM later that same evening; and without a phone call indicating such a scheduling conflict??Needless to say, any initial trust that I bestowed within Scott quickly evaporated. It appeared he was just another salesman/Store Manager who over promises and under delivers.Deirdre and I had a conversation about my disappointment and she fully understood my complaint. I asked if there was anything she could do for the inconvenience factor I had made plans to get my son to an event at 10AM. She was more than accommodating and was trying to give a monetary discount at the same time as Scott walked into the shop.I explained the situation and my frustration to him but said the only thing he could do was to, take off a $40 fee that never should have been applied . I didn t feel as though that was acceptable being that it was a fee that never should have been applied!!! At that point he became extremely agitated and aggressive both in words and posturing. I let him know that in the spirit of full transparency there needed to be some accountability for the expectations he had set. He informed me that there was nothing more monetarily he could do, but offered a free oil change instead. I walked out in disappointment, dissatisfaction, and disbelief. No sooner than 30 minutes later did I receive a call from Scott offering me $40 cash from his own personal account. Was this a bribe to make good on his unprofessionalism in hopes I wouldn t write such a review, or a sincere apology for acting like a playground bully? Regardless, I wasn t about to let $40 enrich his pockets.Bottom line, one would be wise to shop elsewhere.

New manager, Scott, is a terrific guy. Very fast and efficient person with a great (as always) team. I have been going to Monroe for years, but when the old manager retired, I was not too sure what was going to replace him. Thank God it was a guy named Scott!Thank you Monroe!

I can't begin to tell you how AMAZING everyone who works here is. I sent my car in for basic service. Front end alignment, brakes and a oil change. As it happens in life it spiraled into issues I was not financially prepared for. I had no idea how I was going to pay for all the repairs. I felt hopeless and honestly just wanted to cry. When I explained to Ann that I just wasn't able to pay for all the needed repairs she said she would discuss it with the manager. When she called me back I was blown away by the response. They did everything they could to make sure I could afford it so I would be driving a safe vehicle. Thank you is not enough. You are all amazing. Believe me when able I will pay this kindness forward. I am forever grateful for your kindness. I am a customer for life!!

I've been coming here for maybe 15 years? Even when I moved away from the area - I'd drive back because I'm not trusting anyone else. Service hasn't changed one bit, even AW (After Walter). Scott is great. Can't say enough about the whole team there.

Monro had the capacity and experience to help us with a time sensitive tire issue when no other company in the area could. After calling many, many other shops in the area, Ann was a welcome and friendly help! Monro's staff were wonderful and cannot recommend them enough.

I never WANT to go see Walter but I'm glad he's there. Been having my family's cars serviced at Monro for years. Only had an issue once and all it took was 30 second phone call for Walter and his crew to make it right. Walter always applies the most recent online Monro coupons to my bill if I printed them or not and I never feel overcharged. Always called to approve and explain the work to be done. Open Saturdays which is a huge plus. Reliable, reasonable and honest. What more can I ask for?

New store manager, Joe, was very helpful in getting my headlight replaced. He drove somewhere to get the bulb I needed then they replaced it in a timely fashion. The service was excellent! I will go to Monro Kingston for all my car needs.

I was in need of a tire repair on short notice. Other tire shops in the area couldn't or wouldn't help. This place had my car repaired and back on the road within an hour of me calling. I'll definitely be coming back. Excellent service!
