Recently moved to Hull and highly recommend! Went for an inspection sticker and they found a few issues but were able to save me some money which was great. Very flexible with work schedules and everyone is so nice!

Deplorable insulting rude customer service!!!!Employee named Alfonso berated me for parking across their driveway. I was parked there at 730am Saturday morning to get an inspection sticker. He yelled at me for blocking their entrance to their customers!!! I told him I am a customer and I am also a neighbor as I live nearby.He realized what he said to me and offered to pay for my inspection sticker. I refused his offer and told him off with some colorful language. Later in the morning I spoke to Fatima the co owner and explained what happened. She also apologized and offered a free oil change.I accepted her apology and explained if Alfonso is the face of her business, she needs to fire him. Absolutely unacceptable rude berating behavior to a customer and neighbor. I will never ever do business with Hull Auto Repair.

Excellent service, I had a slow leak in my tire. I called and they had me all done in 15 minutes! And the mechanic advised me that my tire had dry rot. Did not push me into purchasing tires at the time, which I thought was very nice. I recommend them highly, also I get my sticker there every year. Great customer service.

Went and had engine work done and they had to do an oil change (understandable) everything was fine until I went to do my own oil change like I always have, but to my surprise I couldn t get the oil drain plug off broke my ratchet and started to shear the plug. The plug was over tightened took it back to the garage, they got the plug off but it was done for since they had to take the plug out they had to do the oil change there and get a new plug put on. They charged me $95 to get the oil change and new plug even though it s their fault that I had too have it done in the first place. And now I m also out a ratchet.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

Went for inspection sticker December and got one that lasted until February went back to correct it but waited 20+ mins, no one picks up phone and was told wasn t their problem essentially. Just wanted a 12 month inspection sticker.

We have used Fatima and her team at Hull Auto Repair multiple times for both of our vehicles. Their customer service is impeccable. They are always responsive and upfront when it comes to cost and timing for work that needs to be done. If Fatima and the team are not able to do a certain type of work, she always has suggestions for how to fix the problem. Highly recommend!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto detailing, Oil change

Nice knowledgeable employees/owners, I didn't have an appointment but they took my vehicle inside the garage quickly while I waited outside because it was a nice day. The service was quick, thorough and they gave me a couple of suggestions on where to buy tires or that they could get tires for me if i wanted. Everything went well my truck passed the vehicle inspection and I recieved my sticker. The cost was good & comparable to similar places. I might have been there for only 15-20 mins approximately! This place is a local owned business and it is a very convenient place for me to go to for most or all of my vehicle needs. I would recommend to anyone plus I will return to them again in the future for whatever comes up next...Thank you Hull Auto Repair!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto emissions testing

I have been using Hull Auto Repair for about two years now, and they have always been at the top of their game!!! Fatima handles the front office of the business, and she is always just so pleasant and easy to interact with. Their prices are very fair, they accommodate last minute appointments without hassle, and the car is always done on time, if not early. IMO, all mechanics struggle with getting repairs done on time (even the "good guys"), it's just the nature of the business, but Fatima and her family do a great job of getting the cars in and out quickly...without sacrificing quality! Thank you guys, please don't stop doing what you're doing!!!PS - On two separate occasions, I was not charged AT ALL for small services that they performed, including today!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Fatima is very nice but their mechanic charged us over a thousand dollars and 7 hours of labor to change our differential fluid which then proceeded to leak all over our driveway. They gave me one estimate for detailing, and then doubled it when done. I refused to pay the higher price. These people will take advantage of you if they can. The ride to and from my house was nice, but at what cost?

Went there for a sticker, left with a headlight that fell out. I asked what we were going to do about it (I wasn t mad because it s an older car and mistakes happen) but When I was told it s not my problem. was a little frustrating so I told them to stop on the inspection and I would be taking my business elsewhere. I offered to pay for the washer fluid I needed since mine was empty and that s a requirement to test to make sure it s working, she said no it s fine and began to walk away .. so this post isn t for the business itself and the work they do .. it s for their poor professionalism.

I called for availability for an oil change, I was given an opening within 15 minutes. As soon as I pulled up I was greeted outside by the front office staff and told to pull inside. Customer service was phenomenal, they were both courteous and upfront with anything conducted on the car.I called several shops prior to this and it was as if I was bothering them to ask for an appointment or time to come in. I would drive out of my way to return to Hull Auto Repair!Family owned and a high sense of pride and professionalism in the shop! Outstanding job I will be back and would recommend Hull Auto Repair to anyone.

Had an emergency driving around Hull just as this new business was opening. I took a chance and drove there on a Sunday. Josef was there and very responsive (my exhaust system was falling down). He was able to tie it up temporarily and I returned on Monday for it to be fixed. They did a wonderful job. Now my husband and I are customers and have been back for various things, including an inspection. So happy this new business is in Town.

My niece was taking the car on a long trip back to school, Hull Auto was supposed to do a lube oil and filter, check and rotate tires and replace windshield wipers.. when I asked my friend to doublecheck hoses etc..he said the oil was overfilled (possibly not changed) tire pressure was low on all tires, and they were not rotated..Would not go there again

My experience at Hull Auto has been a mixed-bag. They're convenient for auto inspection, but their customer service was lacking the few times I used them for routine maintenance. Perhaps it's a culture thing, not sure, but I got a heated argument when I legitimately questioned a charge on the bill. Not too big a deal there-- disagreements are common when it comes to auto repair-- but what I do have a problem with are the bogus reviews given to this business on Google. One look at the many five-star ratings (and the reviewers who posted them) written in the weeks before this one, and you know they're totally self-serving. Look, I'm sure Fatima is "the best", and I'm all for local businesses succeeding, but that success must be earned legitimately. The lesson for Hull Auto Repair (and Hingham Auto Repair) is this... give your customers fair and honest work, treat them like family, and you won't have to resort to these kind of shenanigans to boost your Google score.Service: General repairs & maintenance

In November 2021 I experienced a tire blow out on the highway on a Friday night at 2am. Driving on the flat, I made it safely to a lighted gas station until emergency car service came. At 9am Saturday morning Hull Auto responded promptly to my request for help and a new Michelin tire as I was committed as driver to a memorial gathering on Sunday in Western MA. Hull Auto immediately located a new matching Michelin tire for me, had it delivered to their Hingham location and replaced my spare with the new tire at 9am on Sunday morning. I think Hull Auto exhibited exemplary customer service including communication courtesy, response time and fair price for my new tire. I HIGHLY recommend Hull/Hingham Auto for your car care! Joseph at Hull Auto was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have a 2003 Jeep that I bought for a song earlier this year. Joseph gave it the initial Mass State inspection. It passed with just a few issues which he detailed for me with approximate costs for each repair. Nothing really major. Afterwards I brought it in to have most of the issues dealt with and my bill was a lot less than I had expected. Just last week I brought it in for an oil change and he discovered that the oil pan was frozen solid with rust. If he unscrewed that nut to drain the old oil the turning of the nut would have likely collapsed the entire oil pan as a result of the weaken condition created by the extensive amount 15 years of accumulated rust covering the entire oil pan. The fix would be removing and replacing sections of both axles. His mechanic suggested removing the axles one at a time and wiggling the oil pan free slowly. This process ended saving me about $2,000. The job took about 3 hours longer then just a quick oil change but saved me almost my entire cost to replace my $3,000. fifteen year old Jeep.Needless to say Joseph, David and Hull Auto Repair gets ten stars. I have since sent him 5 other customers including my neighbors, my wife and a dear friend all of whom heap high praise for his workmanship as well as his communication skills which notably outshine 99.9% of others in the Auto Repair Business hands down without comparison ! ! !High marks for skill and keeping promises.
