I took my car to get repaired here. The front desk guy who helped me, was very professional and understanding. He definitely made me comfortable enough to ask questions. Definitely would bring my car back if I need repairs.

A family-owned auto body business where you deal with the owner. Their work is meticulous.They don t overbook. When they make an appointment for you they re ready to work on your car that day. I ve found their estimate of the time they need to complete work accurate. Because of insurance companies auto body work can be unpredictable. However MD will tell you as soon as they know there s a delay. I appreciate how fast they got me in and out.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

From my first call to my last visit I was treated with exceptional professionalism and every detail was explained to me and all my questions were answered! I highly recommend this auto body shop. They did a great job fixing the front end of my 2006 buick. The car came back looking as good as it has in 10 years. Dropped my truck off after an accident with information from my insurance company. Office staff was polite and friendly and told me they would contact me if need be. They reached out to me a few days later with an update on hidden damage and gave me a time frame when repairs would be complete. They dealt directly with insurance company making my experience completely stress free. The quality of work was outstanding, done on time and I was pleasantly surprised to have the interior of my vehicle completely detailed when I picked it up. Highly recommended!!

I made it until 30 years old before I had my first collision claim. I was struck by a deer 2.5 weeks ago - yes, the deer came out of nowhere and ran and jumped into the side of my car. What looked like some exterior cosmetic damage to my front passenger quarter panel revealed tons of damage underneath. This body shop came highly reviewed to me and my experience matched exactly that! Carol Dafonte personally handled my entire claim and speedily got my car in for service and arranged my rental for me, too. The body work quickly mounted to over $8,000 but the shop finished their work sooner than they quoted and my car looks flawless again. I had my car towed here out of the impound lot after an accident, and they were so fast to respond and friendly to deal with. I left them a voicemail after hours about getting the car from the impound and by the time I called back the next morning, they had already taken care of it Sadly, my car had to be totaled, but they helped me gather my things and dealt with me in a kind and professional manner, even giving me tips on how to deal with insurance. I felt really respected and supported at this stressful time and I'll definitely use their services again.Services: Body & Trim, Car towing

Mengel- Dafone Auto Body went above and beyond from start to finish! In June of 2022 I was involved in a head on collision with another vehicle before my birthday vacation to the Virgin Islands. I drive a 2017 Honda Accord, and my car looked similar to the vehicle posted on their home page. I am a health care worker and being in my first big car accident was very stressful and overwhelming, but Mengel-Dafonte assisted me every step of the way. John was very transparent, understanding and diligent with updating me on the process and status of my Accord. My vehicle was completed a little after I had return from my vacation and my car literally looked brand new! I like to have my car washed and cleaned often, but the time, work ,and quality they put into my Honda Accord really showed!! So, shout out to the Mengel Dafonte team for exemplary customer service, your work is noticed and very much appreciated!! I know with covid there was a delay in parts, and just all of the challenges that businesses and people in our everyday lives are going through, but I just want to thank you all so much!

Thomas ZimnowskiCannot believe that a business that does auto repair actually cares! It took 3 Months to finally get the parts for our car that was almost totaled by hitting a Buck Deer on 91. Every time we called for an update we actually spoke to either the repair person or the owner. Every time that we had to leave a message....they called back within the hour! Why did it take so long.....there was more damage than expected. Along with of course trying to get the parts. The car looks handles like it's brand new. It's worth the trip to Holyoke to get the job done right!

The people were nice but I towed my car to get fixed and they lied and said my car was totaled and it was not! By the time I went to see my car it was stripped for parts.. DONT BRING YOUR CAR THERE!!!! My car is work 20,000 and they said the damage was more then the car is worth.

Mengel DaFonte recently repaired a vehicle that was involved in an accident from our fleet. We received the vehicle back in like new condition. He car was totaled after a recent run in with a deer. The management and staff were extremely helpful and nice throughout the process!! They communicated with me frequently and took a lot of stress off my hands. I d definitely recommend them if anyone needs an Body Shop!

Just picked up my car from Mengels - what amazing service! After a stressful day of damage to my car, I was pointed towards Mengels to get some work done. Not only did John stay late on a Friday to accept my car, he also took the extra time to explain to me just what my car (and my pocket) might be in for. He was honest, clear, and knowledgeable. While my car was in for service, the Mengel team was in touch with me about time and price quotes both through email and on the phone. Just a few days later, my car was returned to me, all fixed up, and incredibly clean. I am so pleased with this level of service and look forward to sending business their way!

No one enjoys having to have their car repaired after a collision. But if you have that need, Mengel-DaFonte should be where you get the work done. Their people are professional and skilled and care not only for your vehicle but they care for YOU too. They clearly define what customer service is and excel in providing it to their customers.

These people worked on my 03 mustang back in 2016. They kept my car for over two months, when I picked it up it broke down a day later. Staff continuously lied to me about when I could pick it and I could tell as soon as I drove it off they had done damage to it. I don t care what other reviews say this place is a scam and put my life in danger accidentally or not. This review is a warning to others.

John, Carol, and John Jr. make the process of having your vehicle repaired and restored effortless. Mengel-Dafonte has made repairs to a wide range of our family s vehicles with outstanding results each and every time. I have used this body shop for several accidents over several years. They have an excellent reputation with the insurance companies and their work is excellent.The shop in clean and organized.They are also very friendly and pleasent to work with. Highly recommend.

Hi I'm posting this review of mengel-dafonte auto body of Holyoke Massachusetts for anybody considering having a repair done and also a thank you to John dafonte jr and his team. I was referred by a friend to this family owned business . The minute I met John dafonte jr I felt like I was talking to an old friend any trepidation I had was gone in the stress of the accident to my truck and the everyday problems we are facing as a country was so appreciated thank you John. Now to my truck the repair came out perfect I feel like I'm driving a different truck a better truck dafonte auto body takes it to another level they went out of there way to make sure I was completely happy with the repair and I am thanks again John jr if I need another repair I'll be back. Mengel DaFonte Auto Body in Holyoke is the best! They make everything easy when making an insurance claim and arranging for a rental car. Carol is great and she makes a stressful situation easy to navigate. I like to support local family-owned businesses and I highly recommend this business for quality work and impeccable service.

I went in for a car estimate after a collision occurred, and they assured me I should have within a week; however, after a week and a few day had passed I decided to call to see why I haven t received it yet and the woman said she ll inform the person that writes it up and I should have it sent to me. A day had passed until I decided to call again since I hadn t received it, where she then said he s out the office until Friday, that I would have to wait to then, and so, I call back Friday to then be told I d have to wait 1-2 weeks for the estimate even though I had already waited two weeks! I m completely appalled, confused, and upset that they would waste my time and be as unprofessional as they were; Do yourself the favor and go somewhere else!
