Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Brought my SUV in because I thought the radiator was leaking and to see if it needed a tune up. After pressure testing the radiator and checking out the engine the only recommendation was for an oil change! You want to deal with honest people you can trust? Friend Automotive is the place!

My engine on my Hyundai went during the pandemic. None of the shops I called were interested in replacing it as it was a difficult engine to find. Bill at Friends was the only shop that took the car, spent so much time tracking down the engine and also installed the new engine for us. Later down the road, the car was part of the recall and his amazing Office Manager, tracked down all the receipts for us so we could submit our paperwork for reimbursement. These are genuine good, kind people! We will always be grateful for all they have done to lift us up. Thanks, Bill Holbrook and LynnServices: Engine repair, Auto brake replacement

The owner Bill is a kind man that will look out for you and your car, without the need to worry about being ripped off.The prices are reasonable, and they explain to you exactly what they will be doing and how much, allowing you to choose what you want to do/can afford at the time.If your looking for a good honest mechanic, with dealer quality repairs at a lower cost, you have found your place.

I will NOT give them my business again. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation last week. I asked them to check the car to make sure we were good to drive 900 miles to Indiana. Left today and made it to New York before hearing a loud clunking. The mechanic at a garage in New Jersey tells me THEY DIDN T TIGHTEN ALL THE LUG NUTS! We could ve been seriously hurt because of your incompetence.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have older car and only wanted exhaust leak and anything else needed to pass inspection. Ended up costing almost 2600.00 on repairs that did need repaired. Never called to authorize repairs. End up paying for back brakes and rotors that were previously replaced in August 2021 that were still under warranty. They replaced back struts that didn't need to be replaced etc. Be very careful to make sure parts really need to be replaced. First and last time with Friends automotive. Very disappointed.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They were busy the owner barely made time to speak to me. I could see his frustration on his face when he was interrupted from his phone call by the front desk lady. To say the least my business did not feel welcomed. That would all be overlooked if they did a good job. Ever since i brought my car there to replace my alternator (super easy to do) my car has trouble starting and the cpu keeps restarting. Also the place seems too fancy to not be ripping ppl off.Service: Electrical

I got almost $2000 worth of work done here on my Toyota Camry and I regret it big time! They put an aftermarket Catalytic converter in my car and it worked for about 5 months and the same check engine light code kept coming on and off. Every time I went to bring it back there the light would shut off go figure!I went to 6 different shops after this and ALL of them said it is well known in the mechanic industry that after market cats usually don t make it a year!Called the shop and the man said we didn t want to make it too expensive for you!I never said anything about needing it to be cheap! I just wanted it done right and last! They should have informed me of the type of cat they were going to put in. Should have provided options and never did!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have used the services of Friend's Automotive for quite a few years now and I won't use anyone else. They are very competent, honest, friendly and perform quality work at a reasonable price. Karen in the front office is very efficient, helpful, and adds a great finishing touch to an overall nice experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good garage.

Hands down the best service I have ever had! I always get massive anxiety going to the mechanic because my cars have always been... difficult. But I never get anxiety coming here! Everyone is so nice and professional and you know they re doing everything they can to help! I wanted to like this garage, they re a 5 minute walk from my house. They may be fine for small things but didn t have a good experience with a Toyota truck there. Had gone there for about a year, they replaced a wiring harness, did my oil changes, little things. When it came time for a bigger repair on my truck though they gave me an astronomical quote.. $5000 for a power steering rack. Said parts & 3 days of labor ! Well I knew from research that parts were $300 (& it s a one-day project). As if I believe there s going to be a man working on that truck eight hours a day for three days straight. Really? Fortunately I wasn t born yesterday.Granted they were slammed at the time, but I say If you re too busy for a repair or aren t familiar with a Toyota or whatever it is, that s fine just tell me that. I got it done for $1200 (plus I bought the part for $275) at another local garage I ll be bringing my business to them from now on.

I have a A&P and trust these guys to work on my car - G37x. Each time the work was cheaper then expected, and never ever up-sold, never dissapointed. In fact I've felt guilty leaving not paying more. They keep it honest, and straight to the point. They work on my Girls car - Camry, her parents cars for years - Toyota's / Fords, I had them work on my mothers car - Honda. All the same experience's, and results. Lot's of options around here, they are my first.

Very professional and friendly.Repaired my F150, new ac compressor,pulleys and serpentine belt.Runs great and ac works great.Getting better gas mileage.Great job by good people, I trust Friends Auto.

Got an oil change. They used the wrong type of oil. My car takes synthetic per the manual and the oil cap says 0W-20 synthetic written on it. They filled it with a different weight, non synthetic. The woman at the desk didn t have a good explanation as to why. Won t be going back as if they can t handle a simple oil change, I have little faith in their ability s.

Went downhill once Billy retired.. been a 20yr customer since he was at the now Dunkin Donuts.. will not return.. had my car there for brakes brought back 3 times wife s transmission..said was fine it went a month after he said was ok .
