They do car inspections here! (I drove to 4 other places trying to get my car inspected, and all of them either didn't actually do inspections or only did them on specific dates/at specific times). Would recommend for getting your car inspected. The guy was nice and I was in and out quickly. Also, they take credit cards, so don't have to worry about having cash on hand.

Kenny is super nice, very responsive, and explained everything clearly. Oh ya, and he fixed my car which runs great now. First time going there, and I'll definitely go back.

Poor I was told to come in at 11am to test drive a car. They were 45min late the car was stuck in the mud the gear shift didn't work the audio system didn't work every light on the dashboard was on it didn't go forward it was stuck in reverse. They expected me to buy it. Then they tried selling me another worthless car. I wasted my time beside all their cars are over priceded....

I came here less than a week ago because I believed the comments. This man looked in my eyes and swore to me he wouldn't sell me a bad car I'm a single mom I have no family or anyone but my baby girl. That means if something happens to me she has no one. I tried to drive the car home a hour back. I haven't had a car in 2 years because I couldnt afford it and this man lied to my face to take my money. Come to find out this car is a death trap. On the way home the power steering locked up and my breaks went. Luckily we were okay yes my daughter was scared in the car with me. The new mechanic told me there was also a bad carbon monoxide leak to the interior of the car if the accident never happend we never would have made it home. My innocent child and I could have died on the way home from buying a car from a mechanic that said "i would never sell a car lr let anyone sell a car that was no safe" the test drive was good so I'm just so confused. It's almost like they knew I wasn't going to make it to come back and complain. He never gave me a bill of sale but wanted more money from me that the 1000 that was written on the title. These people are full of lies dont trust them or anyone that does. So now I'm screwed broke with no car again. This man and his friends are crooks. Stay away from this place. Now when you see a mom and daughter carrying their grocceries home don't judge this world is cruel. I have my comment here so this doesnt happen to someone like me again.

Hingham Auto Repair is a 10-Star business! Several of our friends 'raved' about the excellent customer service and attitude here, so we tried it. They were 100% correct!Our moonroof wouldn't budge and was stuck in the open position. Kenny and his team worked on it within minutes and repaired it quickly- on a Sunday morning!We appreciated their attitude, mechanical skills and teamwork. High-fives!! Owner Kenny is the nicest. He will explain the break down of the cost and what his mechanics are replacing and fixing. He is super friendly. My husband found this shop because of the reviews and they were not wrong. We used to go to a family friend for our car issues. We have decided we will be going to Hingham Auto Repair from now on.

Owner of the shop is hands down one of the nicest people I have ever worked with. He helped me out with a last minute repair on all of my breaks and finished it within a couple of hours. He also gave me a complimentary ride home back to Quincy so that I didn't have to wait around. Me and my Fianc� will be using this repair shop all the time from now on.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

Car battery died this morning. Jumped it to get it there. They quickly diagnosed it, swapped it out while I waited. Only called ahead 10 mins and wasn t late for work. Really appreciate getting me out of this bind. Owner Kenny was really kind.

Kenny is awesome and has always done an excellent job with my repairs and in a very quick and affordable means.He did all the front end work in my escalade in the picture and I had no issues with any of it. A++++

Kenny is the best around. He ll get you the best deal possible without sacrificing the quality of the work. Instead of just replacing my exhaust, he took it apart and actually fixed it, saving me thousands. The owner of this shop is not only a local hero (check out how he saved a woman in Cohasset from being abducted) but he has done nothing but gone out of his way to help me over the years.He s honest, fair and a hard working guy. This place understands customer service. My mom and I had transmission failure half a mile out from this place. We made it there with 10 min to closing and Kenny, the owner of the joint, so kindly took on our issues. He assured us that the problem will be fixed and we would make it home safely. An hour later our car was running fantastic. When I have car issues, I will make the drive from Boston to see Kenny again. He has gained our trust and respect. My car battery was dead and I had a long drive ahead. Kenny sent a very friendly and skilled young man to tow me to the shop (jumping had not worked). When he arrived he started the car up immediately. Wow. That was magic. Kenny did not charge me even though he sent the world's longest and shiniest tow truck to my house. Kenny is a crook. A slick and smooth talking crook. I used to recommend him and used him for everything. Until he lied to my face about work that was never done. He s smart enough to know what he can get away with. If you ve serviced with him I recommend having another mechanic confirm he performed the work he said he did. His preferred victims are those with limited knowledge of cars and those with limited English. Steer well clear of Kenny.

Ken has been servicing my vehicles for nearly 20 years (even prior to opening Hingham Auto). He has always been straight with me, even pointing out that some repairs done by other vendors weren't necessary. Also, the fact he's open 7 days has come in handy countless times!

Kenny and his staff are awesome. Kenny has the skills to work on my high end toys or my regular commuter cars. Prices are extremely reasonable and they ll do the job right. Highly recommend.

It's hard to express how good and honest this shop is.Kenny and his crew have worked on three vehicles I've owned. They've repaired the bad work done by the place down the road (BJ's) and have been efficient, honest, and professional.I came in with a battery drainage issue on a 2012 VW Touareg and was convinced it was the alternator, which would have been a ~$2K project. Kenny refused to do this and insisted it was something else, after his team did a scan of the car. After some trial and error I discovered it was a switch in the vehicle that was left on. I know most mechanics would have just taken my money.I'm a customer for live.Services: Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

I've taken my family's cars to Kenny for several years now and I've had very positive experiences with him! He really does care about his customers and fixing their cars the right way. I love that he is very straightforward about the work that can be done vs. the work that needs to be done. His pricing is fair, and I really do think his priority isn't making money, but making his customers happy. I'd highly recommend him for your auto care!
