I've been coming to Rays Auto for years with numerous vehicles and can genuinely say Steve and the boys always do an excellent job no matter the issue. Always very thorough, informative, and Honest!! Easily the best auto shop in Haverhill, hands down. Thanks again guys!

Amazing service here, would recommend to anyone trying to get reliable a great service on your car. Makes me feel comfortable and not tricked like other mechanics. Everything about this place is recommended, will definitely be taking my car here for years. I drive a Mercedes e350.

Very good mechanics. Honest, and very reasonable prices. We Never hesitate to bring our cars to get work done here. Ray's Auto Service, Inc is a great place to bring your car for a variety of needs. I am a repeat customer ever since Steve began managing and working on vehicles. HE goes above and beyond to explain the needed work, understands what should be completed and worked with me to help with the total cost. I am so happy that I have confidence in his and his crew's abilities and knowledge.I highly recommend bringing your car here for service. He earned my trust and he stands by his workmanship. If something needs adjustment or you have questions after service or replacement of parts, Steve will work with you and make the necessary modifications so that your car is running like a champ!When my car needs maintenance, Ray's Auto Service, Inc. is the ONLY place I feel confident in going to for my car's needs! This was my first time visit at Ray s, and the experience I had with them was absolutely incredible. As someone who doesn t know much about cars, I felt like Steve did a great job explaining the situation with my car without making me feel dumb. It was reasonably priced too considering the work they had to do. I definitely plan to use them in the future. Plus they are in a perfect location, close to my job and my house.

I'm so glad I found this place based on all the fantastic reviews. I made the mistake of taking my car to a dealership(I know, rookie move) where I was treated like a complete and utter inconvenience and was going to be charged astronomically for work that turns out I didn't in fact need. Steve was so helpful, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to explain everything that actually needed to be done. Professionalism at it's best and everything was done in a timely manner. I will be using Ray's for all of my future car needs. Thank you again to Steve and all of your employees!!!!

New owner Steve really cares about his customers. He has always been straight forward with me explaining things, and showing me exactly what issues are. He's great at giving you a heads up when needed service may be coming up. He also does his best to get good parts at reasonable prices when he can, without skimping on quality. They often have a loaner vehicle available to use or will offer to give you a ride for longer repairs.

Updating my review from a year ago.I'm very happy to recommend Ray's garage, especially now with Steve the new owner, who is working to refresh Ray's image as fairly priced and as dependable as ever. I take all my cars there, as well as my daughter's.Original Review:Very trustworthy. A couple of my friends in the area consider them expensive but I say they're worth it. They go above & beyond in many ways.

The team at Ray s auto is above and beyond. I ve used a lot of other places, but have found a consistent, friendly, fair family at Ray s. I usually talk with Steve about any services I need. This shop was recently sold and the new owner Steve is FANTASTIC!!! I have gone to Steve for years and he is the best mechanic around. He's fair, honest and an overall genuinely good guy. So much so that I was willing to travel over an hour from my home to have him service my car, and I will continue to do so in the future.As mentioned, Steve is a great mechanic and can fix any kind of car. If you need a mechanic I strongly suggest you go see Steve, you won't be disappointed.

Steve at Ray s Auto Service in Haverhill provides exceptional service and is always willing to assist and provide honest advice as needed. He s never one to attempt to make a profit and will only do the work that is absolutely needed and at an incredibly fair price. The workmanship is always stellar. My wife and I live about 15 minutes away and Steve is always nice enoughto lend us a loaner car for the interim while we wait to have our car worked on. I cannot recommend this Auto Shop enough. You will not be disappointed. We will continue to do all of our work here with Steve!

Steve the new owner is incredibly honest and won't overcharge, he takes the time to walk your through exactly what is being done and why in language you don't have to be a mechanic to understand. He has been servicing my cars for years. I drive an hour to Haverhill to have him service my cars and it's worth it because he is that good! Good ,honest mechanics are like gold. I would recommend him to anyone who wants great ,honest work at a great honest price

I got a flat tire on the side of the road and stumbled upon Rays auto, Steve s guys took my car in right away without hesitation and took care of it. My car broke down on the side of the road in Haverhill. AAA towed my car to Ray's. I met Steve at the front desk. I had never been there before. He was amazing, so nice and he was able to order a part on Friday, delivered on Monday, and I had my car back on Monday afternoon. Thank you for making a bad experience so much better!! Steve is awesome! He is honest, extremely helpful and will tell you exactly what needs to be done. His prices are very fair and he is quick to repair. He has fixed my husband's, mom, and my car. Highly recommend.

Steve went above and beyond during my experience with Rays auto. I have been out of work during the pandemic so money is tight right know. Perfect time for my starter to go on my Honda civic! I have been putting off getting new front breaks and rotors due to a tight budget, as well as a serpentine belt.So I told Steve for now i would just get the starter replaced. When Steve called me back to let me know my breaks were going to cause some serious damage if i kept driving on them the way they were, not only did he offer me a price to fix both that i could not refuse, he replaced my serpentine belt for free! I highly recommend Rays auto. They have gained a customer with me and I will recommend all my friends and family to them. Thanks Steve!

I have brought my car to Ray's for years. Even though I now live 2-3 hours away, I try to bring it in for service in Haverhill. The staff is super knowledgeable and I have 100% percent trust in their explanations and advice. There biggest concern is doing good work and doing right by the customer. Over the years they have helped me keep my car in good working order and always give me honest advice as far as when repairs need to be done. I would recommend them, without hesitation, to anyone.

Ray s did a wonderful job replacing the rear bearings on my vehicle! When an issue came up where they couldn t remove an old bolt, instead of breaking it and costing me more, they thought outside the box and found an alternative way in getting it done. The guys really know what they are doing, and for a great price! I highly recommend!

Whenever I go into Rays no matter what the problem I'm met with a smile put at ease and always impressed with their pricing and competence ... they explain issues so that your very comfortable before the work is completed and given an estimate...they have rental cars available and I never feel stranded. Love this place more than I can tell you ... try them you'll never leave!! This is my go to auto repair shop in the area...they've been around a very long time ... that speaks volumes about their work and customer care.

My car had issues starting up, so I brought it to the mechanic down my street. He held my car for three weeks and did nothing to help it. Very disappointed, I took my car back. After some research, I decided to take my car to Ray s since they had such high ratings. I am so happy I did! Steve was very helpful and communicated well. By the end of the same day I brought my car in, he had already figured out what was wrong with it! He made sure I understood what was wrong with my car and took very well care of it! I am so pleased and will definitely be coming here again. I highly recommend!

I've only been there twice so far, for oil changes, but I have some repairs coming up and they are definitely on my list. Pleasant, friendly, efficient service, and they check out the car and let you know of developing problems or upcoming service issues based on manufacturer recommendations. I get good answers to my questions. I feel like I can trust both their competence and their honesty.1/25/13: I've now had some major work done on the car at Ray's, and my review for that is the same. Kevin worked with me to prioritize the needed repairs, and the most urgent are now done. I'm totally happy with how the car is running--better than in years. I will be back for the rest of the work.

Honorable Garage!Steve the owner is the most honest and ethical mechanic I have ever met. I can't say 1 bad thing about this garage. They did the repairs that where needed and in the time frame that they promised. We don't live down the street but this will be our go to garage from now on and we will spread the word about Steve, the garage and their integrity! Thanks for everything they did for my daughter and repairing her 1st car.

Excellent service. Staff fantastic and thoroughly go from bumper to bumper and stop to show you each issue as they go and explain it all completely. They also work with you on the cost. Your safety is there main concern. They are taking care of both my daughter's cars. I feel safe knowing they are doing the work.

Anyone who owns a vehicle knows how difficult it is to get quality service at an affordable price, but Ray's delivers. I had several issues with my older vehicle that needed addressing and Ray's handled the repairs on the first visit and at a price I could afford with five star customer service. I recommend Ray's to anyone that wants quality service.

Steve and his staff are great. I tried them on one of my cars for an oil change. Now he works on all 5 of my vehicles for anything they need. Every time I had an issue steve would say dont worry, we'll take care of it. They are fair and honest. Truly this is one mechanic you can honestly trust. I would recommend them to anyone.
