If I could give ten stars I would (and I don t typically write reviews). Being new to town and having a VW which is expensive and difficult to fix, I struggled to find a good, reliable, and honest mechanic. The search ended with Joe at top gear auto. Not only did I get honest and great work, but more than a few times he helped me out in a pinch, even when very busy, showing true appreciation for my business. I have dealt with all types of people and can tell when someone is not on the up and up. Joe is an honest to goodness, upstanding business owner who takes care of his customers old school style highly recommend for all types of vehicles, including foreign cars. This is the only mechanic for me.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Tire rotations, Transmission repair, Brakes, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Top gear is the absolute best. Joe is incredibly professional. Joe got my 20 year old car running better than ever. I highly recommend Top Gear and won't take my car anywhere else.

Best European auto technician on the North Shore. Every European car I or a family member have owned has been serviced by Joe. He is honest, fair and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Joe is not a mechanic, he is a car whisperer. He has solved at least three problems for me that other mechanics couldn't. I never write reviews, but the guy is honest and talented.

Joe handles our fleet of shop cars and our personal cars. He is very fair and there have been a few times when a dealership has told us that the car needed some very expensive repairs only to be shown by Joe it is not that big of a deal.

Very deserving of a 5 star rating. I wouldn't hesitate to drop my car off for any job, big or small. Extremely professional and top notch work!
