The tow truck ran a red light yesterday and almost hit my husband and I (we were both in different cars). Literally, in front of the Gardner Police station. Two punk kids in the truck. They actually were laughing because they thought it was comical. I hope the owner realizes the seriousness involved with having horrible drivers driving your huge tow trucks. I hope you have good insurance! Looking at previous reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence!

When my daughter tried to take a detour over a guardrail in our Jeep, TJs was called for the tow. The first tow truck driver knew this was a bigger job than he could do, so he called for a bigger wrecker to pull my jeep over. Tommy, the owner, showed up with the big truck. His skill got our jeep back over without incurring any additional damage to the Jeep or guardrail. Tommy also assisted in getting me the needed paperwork to complete a reimbursement form for AAA. Overall my experience with TJs was very positive. Thanks again for helping us out.

I would love to say I actually used this business, but after multiple attempts to get cars inspected and receiving nothing so much as an acknowledgement after an hour of waiting in a 3 car deep line, I'm fairly convinced that they either don't want to do business, or have a handful of customers that they prioritize and say screw the rest. Not good experiences, won't waste my time going back

After having my truck towed by TJ and sons i asked for a receipt so i could submit the $500 cash payment for my business records. I was told If you want a receipt its another $50.00 cash.seems strange to me that they charge for something that's pretty standard of any quality business.

Went there to give someone a ride to pick up their car after it got towed. The person who worked/helped me there, who I assume is the owner, was very polite and was very nice/sympathetic to the whole ordeal. After we payed the tow fine we realized our car had dangerously low levels of oil in it (our fault) and I went inside to ask if the shop had any oil I could buy. The owner came out and gave me about 1.5 quarts for free! Definitely lifted my spirits and had my experience go from an average one to a great one!That aside the older lady at the front desk was very rude and entitled. Every other employee was generally pleasant so I don't know what her deal was, but this is my only complaint. It obviously hampers the business and makes the already embarrassing experience of paying a large fine even more volatile and depressing then it has to be. This isn't necessarily the shop's fault so I'm not detracting any stars for it, but it's definitely something to keep in mind.As long as you treat tow drivers with respect they will usually return the favor, so I assume 90% of the 1-Star reviews are from people who treated the employees rudely and got a taste of their own medicine. It's not the employees fault your car got towed, it's yours and you got to owe up to it and pay the fine. The tow company isn't the one that decides to tow your car, it's the town that puts out the order to tow your car! If you've been wrongly towed take it up with them, not the drivers!

I had a great experience with TJ and sons auto repair. After being in a wreck they towed my car worked with my time schedule to pick up items in car, they pick up the phone before it s able to ring twice they re able to give you good quality information. I would highly recommend TJ s. I will be sure to be using them in the future.

I called for a tow from the new mobile station next to market basket and said they ll be right there and it would cost $110. After waiting for a hour and a half I called them back and no one said they took my call. Then they stuck it to me and charged me $200.

TJ &Sons has always been trustworthy and professional. I have been doing business with them for at least 15 years and have always been pleased. No returning multiple times for same issue. Once and done! Honest, professional, timely and reasonable cost!

Went into the back of our work truck and stole product- returned half of it and said it was a "misunderstanding" lied about the half they had already taken. Super over quoted the brake job we requested by their own admission. Unless you're ok with them going through your vehicle and stealing things... I mean "misunderstanding" what belongs to them, I'd avoid at all costs.Service: Brakes

I called Tj s towing when I got stuck turning around in a field at my buddy's house, in a 3/4 ton pickup truck, tj s showed up in 15 minutes showed expertise, had all the right tools for the job, and was very knowledgeable. Driver displayed signs of using safe methods of recovery services to safely wench my truck out. I d highly recommend these guys for any of your towing services needs! #teamTjsServices: Exhaust, Tires, Electrical, Brakes

We called today to make sure they were open and still doing inspection stickers to which we were told oh yes of course we are. I then asked what time they were open until and was told we take our last inspection customer at 4:30pm. My fiance pulled in at 4:09pm and a guy came out and rudely signaled him to leave so when he told him we had called and was told 4:30 was the last inspection he rudely said "well you were misinformed, we're done for the day". It would've been fine if he just would've said sorry due to the weather we've decided to close early, but that wasn't the case. Will start going elsewhere for inspection stickers!

I was woken up in the middle of the night to my car being towed after a landlord/police agreement that we could park our cars on the road while the parking lot was being paved. Everyone in the building ran outside to move cars after TJ s gave 30 minutes for the cars to be moved. We were outside immediately and my car was gone. Meanwhile, someone else had their car towed while they were standing there and getting into it. This place did not care about people what so ever. We all went to go get our cars back and they were extremely unprofessional and rude. They even tried re-towing someone s car while they were waiting for a receipt in the parking lot. I have never met more heartless people in my life and I hope no one respects or uses this business. Getting towed is one thing, getting towed for parking somewhere you are allowed to be, while you re outside to move your car, is insanity.

Their reckless driver almost t-boned us in an intersection with sirens going because they violated traffic laws by running a red light and almost hit my families car with 7 passengers. This incident was not okay.

I paid for my vehicle to get out of their lot after they towed it, Then they tried to take it AGAIN FIFTEEN SECONDS LATER! !my landlord had an agreement with the chief of police that no ones vehicles would not be taken. My keys, car and house; were in my truck and it was on. I was in the process of moving my other truck (with the spare key) when They decided to towed it. In a matter of ten seconds my car was hooked and gone. But when you need a tow it takes an hour. Anyways...when I was in the lot waiting for my receipt. A very drunk tow truck driver tried to hook up my car IN THEIR PARKING LOT and tow it fifteen seconds after I paid for the ticket! I drove my truck around the building and while I m standing behind it he starts backing up and tells me he is going to tow it again. These people are crooks and there s nothing else to it. It s two In the morning and I had to deal with this. Don t waste your time with these people.

I called on Friday morning and the tech I spoke with told me to come by at noon for an inspection sticker. Came by at 11:50 and the place was closed. There was a worker there that was waving his hands at me telling me to go away. This is the second time I have tried to get a sticker at TJ's and had a horrible experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better shops in the area with much better customer service.

STAY AWAY! Never bring your car here! I brought my car in for some suspension issues. When I dropped the car off, I tried to explain what I was experiencing with the car. I was rudely told to leave the diagnostics to the professionals by a man named Peter (short, balding, mechanic). When I tried to explain that I wasn t diagnosing the car, he got very hostile and confrontational. Had a glazed over look and smelt of alcohol. He should not be allowed to work for any business or deal with customers. I will never bring my car there again.Service: Steering & suspension repair

My family and I happened to be TJ's customers by chance and will be for life. My family, my wife, two young kids, and my dog, were on our way from Cape Cod to Vermont for a camping trip when the radiator completely let go on our Jeep while getting gas off of the highway. TJ's was the closest shop and I called them, explained the situation I was in and without hesitation, told me to bring it right over and they'd take a look. When we got to the shop, we were met by mechanic and one of the shop owners. They immediately assessed the Jeep, took it into the shop, and began working. They also just as quickly took my family into the office and out of the intense heat. The repair needed to be finished in the morning because there just wasn't enough time since we arrived just at closing, but the owners helped make hotel reservations that would accept us as well as our dog and recommendations in the area to eat. The Jeep was done the next morning and has been fixed better than I could've done myself. In short, I've never been treated so well by any business of any kind and had such a professional repair. They are a family business and show through their actions that they care about others just as much. If you need any auto repairs and don't go to TJ's, you are missing meeting the nicest family on earth, and getting your car fixed by pros.

No, I never would go there since I know someone else who had work done her. the work was way overpriced and their car had the same problem within weeks they we re charged again . I would give 0 stars if possible.

These guys go over and above. Seriously my hero for pressing a wheel bearing in for me when they really didn't have the time to spare. They made it possible to get the job finished this weekend. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. Thanks so much TJ's. See you when my next sticker is due.

A true and honest business that is a pillar to the community. Tommy and the rest of the crew are a credit to the Gardner area. Deceitful Price Gougers. (Read through the posts below, I am not the only one they tried to extort.) I was stuck and needed a tow during the cold snap of Christmas 2017. After a 2.5 hour wait, they tried to charge me double and demanded CASH upfront. The receptionist was rude, discourteous, and acted like I was bothering her. I called WESTMINSTER GARAGE they helped me immediately for HALF the price.

Have only used these guys for inspection stickers, but always met with a smile and great service! Don t mind the wait, since we aren t in any kind of rush!
