Horrible mechanic work and sad customer service. I had to spend an extra 1500$ because Rob didn't install the brand new moser rearend properly. They didn't vent it so it blew fluid out on my ride home. You would think they would test drove it. Also the pinion angle was off. Also didn't put the seals in properly. I tried to have them take the car back but they kept putting other people in front of me. Mike would never call me back and played games to take the car back. The job was 1yr ago!!!Im only leaving this post, not in hate but because mike, you should know the end of the story. I thought we were friends and obviously you got what you needed 5k. I thought the friendship was worth more. I had a feeling it wasn't vented, so I had someone else do that work. It's been over one 1yr since I had the job done with you which cost me 5k and an extra 1500$. Thanx alot. God speed

Mike over at forte and jimmy and the rest of the guys are just about the most capable engine builders I ve ever been around. I ve been doing car build for quite a few years and nothing has gone as smoothly as this purchase. Mike the owner is a literal walking encyclopedia on v8 American power. He s a gentleman and very easy to deal with. I honestly can t say enough good things. Like if I could give 6 out of 5 stars I would. They helped me find and assemble an LS3 with Camaro 6spd transmission for my mk3 Supra build. Seriously do yourself a favor and go talk to them about your current or next project.

Mike helped me with my Tremec, which I have had forever, (I purchased in 2004 elsewhere). He sent a fixture I needed to install in a GM plus a backup light connector. Super fast shipping. Great guy to deal with, I highly recommend, and will buy from him again. If you are buying a Tremec buy from Mike, he will make sure it is right! :)

I saved $2000 by buying a crate engine from Mike rather than his larger competitors. And he's knowledgeable and prompt. He's also honest, important to know when you're wiring a large amount of money.

Mike is a genius with cars. Would definitely be my partner on fast car Jeopardy. He is very helpful and his advice is spot on. He sells you exactly what you need and doesn't oversell. You can trust his advice and recommendations. Worth going out of your way.

I have been buying parts from Mike Forte shop since 1988. He is extremely knowledgeable from my Corvettes my 70s Chevelle big blocks. He got together with Tremec and got them to move shifter back further to accommodate 5 speed in my seventies car with console. I personally highly recommend his shop.

I have bought complete engines as well as transmissions for a couple different project cars I am building. His level of service never disappoints!He is never to busy to take the time to talk to you about what you are looking for, what you are building and most importantly never hesitates to help with your million questions in your build.

I have a competing speed shop, but I buy my transmissions from Mike Forte. I always found him to be very helpful and knowledgeable. If you want A Tremec transmission, he's the guy to buy it from. He's not political, he'll tell it like it is. I refer my customers who want aTremec transmission to him.Bobby C., Bobby C. Speed Connection

Amazing auto parts store! Mike is the best for knowledge and parts for hot rods, kit cars anything. NOS, engines, Tremec transmissions for Ford Chevy Dodge and imports. dyno ect you name it plus it all can be installed for you.

My experience with Fortes for the TKO swap on my '85 Camaro was bar none. Mike helped walk me thru the whole process from getting me all the parts i needed, all the way to advise during the installation, even when he was out of the office on weekends. Not many people still do business the way these guys do, and i could not recommend them any more highly.

Mike is great, very knowledgeable, go to guy for Factory Five, Tremec parts or any performance car or truck parts you may need. Place doesn't look like much, but is actually huge inside. Engine Dyno room onsite!!

I went in to check out some stuff for my 72 nova and the owner mike knew everything i needed to know...also he is the only place around that fills nos bottles...definitely gonna be doing business here!!!

I went to fortes today 07/31/2015 the owner mike was there to help me and let me just say this was the worst customer service ever! i asked for one part and he was pushing me to get other parts i did not need. 20 minutes later i tried to return the part and the owner Mike was extremely rude. He was yelling at me and being very rude because i wanted to return the part.I do not recommend Fortes to anyone!
