I have been customer of John and Chris for years now, whether it was my first vehicle purchase of a Ford Windstar minivan when my kids were tykes to having my vehicles serviced. I have found my "forever mechanics"! The thing that got my attention was their honesty. I would bring a vehicle in and think it had a certain issue, these guys stepped right up and said, "you don't need that", "this is the issue." On more than one occasion they saved me a boatload of money.

I contacted Brownell Auto Sales & Service after I saw them on a registered list from my insurance agency to get my car repaired after an accident. John, Chris and the entire staff is fabulous. They were able to get my car towed there the same day i called an inquired about fixing it. The we're extremely helpful with my situation as well. My car came out absolutely flawless. I DEFINITELY made the rite choice by calling Brownell! I'm extremely pleased!

Brownelles Auto Sales & Service is a great auto service center. Nate always takes those extras steps to make sure that all my vehicles are running smoothly and he catches minor issues and addresses them before they become major headaches!!

My family has been taking our vehicles for repairs to Brownell for years and they always do a great job with good prices. The mechanic Billy can fix absolutely anything!I recently decided to get a pickup truck and they gave me a great deal. Everything went smooth with no problems. They helped me get really good financing too. I can't recommend them enough.

We can t thank the owner John enough for helping our son. He goes to FSU and we are two hours away so we were looking for a trustworthy place for him to take his truck to have his brakes repaired.When I called and spoke to John he didn t hesitate and told me to send him over so he could meet him and take a look.He not only took a look but he hopped in the truck and went for a ride with our son to feel how the brakes were.That gave us peace of mind because when once he saw how bad they were he suggested our son not ride the truck until he dropped it off to be serviced.We highly recommend Brownell s and will definitely use them again when needed!!Excellent staff & Service!!

I have been a customer for more than 2 decades. My experience with John has always been professional, respectful and often above and beyond. John doesn't just sell you what he has on the lot. He listens to understand what you are interested in and what you are prepared to spend.He doesn't waste words and always delivers on his commitments. I also have been very pleased with the service work from the garage. The staff have always been friendly and courteous.Brownells makes the car buying experience as simple and friendly as it can be.The big dealers can't compete with the buying, selling, trading and repair experience that John and his team deliver. He is olde school small business!

Chris and his Father run an amazing operation. They're one of the few used car dealers that also run a ( large) full-service repair shop. Incredibly honest business dealings with them for both used car purchases (2 thus far) and for automotive repairs. I recommend them highly.

I am very satisfied with brownell auto.About 2 years ago I bought a truck (Expedition).The car was a perfect fit for my family and is still running perfectly today.I am really pleased with the car and I can honestly say nothing bad about it.I have no other comments about the car except that it was a perfect fit for the price I paid.About a month or 2 after purchasing I ran into a couple small problems just like any used car and they fixed it up within the week. I would definitely recommend these guys to everyone.

I bought a car on a Saturday morning from Brownell. I had seen the car on a Thursday or Friday and they said they just got the car and they were "looking it over" before they could sell it. When I bought the car, I noticed there was a CD in the player that would not come out. The next Monday, the muffler fell off on the highway. I asked them to also remove the CD when they fixed the muffler...they didn't. They also left their oily hand prints all over the outside of the white car. A few days later, I also notice the dash lights aren't working. I take the car back and got major attitude, also asked them to wipe off the hand prints they left. They didn't. A few weeks later, after warranty was up, I took the car to a place to get an oil change. They said the oil was so low they dipstick didn't even touch it. A few more weeks later, I notice a horrible "grinding" sound coming from the right front of the car---also, I have a flat tire. I went to a place to get the tire replaced and also have them check out the grinding noise. The guy said there's something wrong with the transmission, and that he's "never seen anything like it before", and it's going to cost over 2 grand to fix.I don't think Brownell ever checked out the mechanics of the car. It was clean on the inside, and that's about it. I don't think they ever even put oil in it. They didn't even realize the dash lights weren't working. The only "looking over" they did was probably walking around the car and looking at the outside.Do not buy a car here.

As usual, it was a comfortable experience. John is a personable man, and understands what makes good business sense for himself AND his customers. I have always found him to be honest and fair.

Hello,I have read some reviews above but they are very different from my experience.I found the staff very friendly and willing to help.These qualities make the provider stand out in the market.I was referred to Brownell Auto sales by a friend and i was not dissapointed.They have replaced all faulty parts even after sales(The Buy from them was indeed a good buy as per market rates). They have also given me useful tips to keep my vehicle in the best possible conditions.

2011 Hyundai with front end noise when taking right turn. Turned out to be difficult to diagnose and John stood by the repairs performed and ended up replacing parts for no cost to fix the problem. I really appreciate the honesty and effort of Brownell auto repair and am a customer forever.

Hidden Gem in Fitchburg: Brownell AutoMy experience with Brownell Auto has been nothing short of fantastic.Owner John and son Chris and all employees treated my wife and I with total respect.Now the details: blew the engine in my wife s 2012 Nissan Rogue. Chris came to my house to personally inspect vehicle. He said he would take a look and get back to us. Definitely blew the engine. Gave us a very reasonable price to repair engine. First engine was a bust not their workmanship. Installed second engine runs like a top can t be more satisfied! Found my mechanic in Fitchburg!!! Thank youPat and Linda

I dont know why people gave negative review to these guys. I got what I want here and they have a very friendly staff. I have been using this company for 5 years and have refered them to all of my friends. They are very good in nature to their customers and have also definitely provided better service than others in the area. These guys have been around forever and in my opinion have some of the best mechanics and staff working for them in central massachusetts.

John and chris are good people, I have purchased 2 vehicles from them, set up financing, when they needed service, I brought it to them, they have always been professional with me. No complaints, highly recommend

They are excellent mechanics and won't price gouge. They have worked on my 2010 Chev HHR and my 2002 Vintsge Mazda Miata SE. Very nice guys.

Brownells went above and beyond even helped me with an amazing gmc from a death trap that i used to drive they cleaned buffed the car before i hot it and more i highly recommend brownells for you to get a car if your seeking. Thank you chris and your crew

I've been going to pronounce for 11 years now I bought for cars there all great and if there was ever an issue they took care of it right away my personal opinion if you want to buy a car go to I have no complaints you want to buy a car go to Brownell Auto the service there is impeccable and they treat you like family
