I've lived in a lot of places across MA and now CO, and the one thing I wish I could take with me during all my moves is this mechanic from my hometown.Never had a bad experience for the 6 years he was my mechanic (and it took moving across the country to get me to stop coming here). And with a '95 Prizm and an '03 Acura TL-S, believe me, I was there. A. LOT. Never had an issue with prices, part availability, or asking questions. This staff knows their stuff and is extremely helpful!I know experiences vary from person to person, but you can't deny Chuck's honesty and ethic. Incredibly straight shooter. He could've milked me for years with my Prizm where the bottom was 2% steel, 98% rust, and 100% problems, but instead he went the extra mile to help me understand that I needed to plan for a new car and walked my 18-year old brain through the reasons why. He was my mechanic for years when I was a broke high schooler and college kid. I even made sure that, whenever something went wrong with my car at college in Amherst that I'd setup an appointment here and drive 2 hours to have him check it out. Chuck was even cool with dropping off/picking up the car after hours.Take my advice: honest mechanics are hard to find. Just come here and stop worrying about it.

My car had intermittent problem starting ? Starter vs Battery. My car sat for 3 weeks and charged $50 for supposed cleaning terminals. The same problem occurred after during the car home. I figured out it was a dead battery in the key! A simple fix missed by mechanic.Disappointed.

Brakes done?1st of all he was honest snd said he forgot to do the left brake . Had to bring it back . Ok fine we all make mistakes .Took a road trip 4,000 miles after the brake job .The left brake seized . I had to get it repaired in Virginia and they charged me 3 x the amount but I obviously had no choice .So all these great reviews ughh I ll never go back there

Accurate diagnosis, speedy work, fair prices, friendly and respectful people. Wouldn't do business anywhere else and have been there 10+ years.

They're honest when it comes to what actually needs to be done and won't try to feed you false problems. I came here for a second opinion after another shop told me the work I needed would be around 2k. J R's told me it was roughly half that. Going here will save you money and will leave you feeling satisfied. Trust me, its a great place.

This place is the real deal for honest car and truck repair! They have saved me hundreds by fixing instead of just replacing parts! Chuck is the front man and is a straight shooter, telling you exactly what you may need or not need repaired.

I was told I needed a new radiator for my Jeep from the dealership. I called a few places and JRs was the cheapest. When I brought it in to be fixed, Chuck calls me says you dont need a new radiator, I just replaced a couple hoses . That dealership was trying to take me to the cleaners. They are cheap and a couple of great guys.

I had my cat and o2 sensor replaced . the second time i went back to get the check engine light cleared i left it over night i came back to get it and found damage to the front left quarter deep scratches and plaztic mostly ground off but noone knows where the damage came from . then i went back yet again to get the faulty cat and o2sensor replaced a 2nd time it seems that the info center on my. Consol was pressed hard enough to break the plastic holding the screws to piecess then ripped the consol off to fix it and when they could not fix it they put it back unrepaired so it looked fine till i went to press the button and it pushed though the consol . i was not told about eather time damage was caused. I do not recomend this store . though they did not charge for the cat and 02 the seconx time Round still im very unhappy with thos place .
