I purchased a used Hyundai Elantra a year ago. The staff were responsive and resolved several problems that emerged over six months of the warranty period. Unfortunately the engine began to have problems a few months after I bought the car because of what turned out to be a Hyundai design and manufacturing flaw; and was subject to a recall by Hyundai. Hyundai would not honor their 100,000 mile warranty because I was not the original owner. Nicky D's honored their used car warranty and replaced the engine with a used one. I really appreciated their responsiveness and willingness to make good on this problem. My car now runs perfectly. I recommend their dealership.

Obviously this will only be one positive review in a sea of many, but I thought I would write it anyways.Nicky D's has provided excellent service for 3 members of my family including myself. From vehicle selection, to customer service and processing speed they are unparalleled in the valley. Both Todd and Amy were helpful and friendly, without being pushy or overbearing. When I first picked up my vehicle, there was an issue. It took nothing more than a phone call to get scheduled for a repair, and the use of a loaner vehicle.10/10, if you are looking for a used vehicle and are sick of dealing with sketchy sales people this is the place for you.

I bought a 2015 Prius at Nicky D's last April. Their service is exceptional. Even with questions about routine matters, it doesn't matter how small. They always take the time to help me out. I cannot say enough about Todd. He is wonderful. You will do well to buy your next car from Nicky D's . You will be pleased with the car and the service.

Sent an email requesting more information about a car listed online in the inventory. Got a call about a week later from a sales representative who suggested I call back for more information. When I did call back a few days later she had forgotten she d called me in the first place and was short, stand off-ish and patronizing, asking again and again what I needed help with. Informed me the car I inquired about had been sold and did not offer to help me find another listed at a similar price point or suggest I visit. I did not feel welcomed or valued, and have decided to purchase a vehicle elsewhere.

Recently purchased a 2020 Honda Fit with 15,000 miles. Folks here were very respectful, honest and good people. I didn t feel pressured to buy anything and was able to test drive on my own. Friendly and down to earth. If you are looking to escape from car lots that prey on customers this place is for you. Thanks!

Bought my first (new to me) car at Nicky D's. They helped me throughout the whole process and did their stinking best to battle slow to respond insurers. No suits or super shiny showrooms but people who actually care about their jobs. I loved the no-nonsense candidness and the fact that they service the cars they sell.

I showed up at Nicky D's last year, tape measure in hand, and told Doug there were three cars on the lot I wanted to measure the cargo areas of. He was unfazed by the request and I ended up buying a 2013 Prius V; a bit above book value, but in line with what other dealers were asking. Two weeks later I slid on ice and hit a sign post... Betty was tremendously helpful working with my insurance company's adjuster and providing a loaner car for several days while my car was being repaired. Other reviewers say they thought she was unfriendly or brusque, but I found her to be very efficient and appreciate that she answers questions completely without a lot of small talk. The car had a 12-month warranty, which I never needed to use. I did have one issue while I was getting used to the Prius (very different from my previous manual transmission vehicle); the staff were helpful in troubleshooting what turned out to be purely user error. My usual mechanic (ESP auto) told me I got a very good car for the money; I expect to be driving it for another 8-10 years.A few months after I bought my car, an associate wanted to replace theirs. Based on my experience, they also went to Nicky D's and have been very satisfied with their purchase.

Went in looking for a used Honda Fit and was really pleased with the selection available. I was able to take the cars out for a test drive on my own and there was no pressure from the salespeople to make a decision. They answered all my questions and were very patient. When I did decide, they made the paper-work and process seamless. When there was a hiccup with my insurance, they called to let me know and we got it sorted very quickly. Todd was great to work with and I couldn't be happier with my "new" car!

I had a really great experience at Nicky D's. Started my day there, test drove some cars, zero pressure to buy, just good info. Then went to a bunch of dealers and one other used car lot. They weren't great experiences - mostly, just the hard sell, all the time. Decided to test drive one more car back at Nicky D's and fell hard for it. The whole process of buying the car was easy, no-pressure, and left me feeling pretty content. How often does that happen after buying a car?

They sold my 21 year old daughter a car that needed a new transmission 8 weeks later. Then needed a new alternator, starter, air compressor, and LR caliper 7 months after she bought it. They offered to put a used transmission in the car. The car had already been towed to another city because we didn't trust Nicky D's to work on it.

Got a great deal on a great truck, but more importantly--their customer service is fantastic. Betty--the co-owner-- is extremely personable, and she's treated me like family. I had an emergency issue--damage caused to my vehicle by another garage (a garage I pulled into emergency style as my battery was dying)--and even though their mechanics were piled high with jobs, she squeezed me in immediately and even got me a ride home, a half hour away. They are very serious about the integrity of their business, and, in my experience, they do everything they can to keep their customers satisfied.

Nicky D's is not just no hassle, they are also no nonsense. So if you catch them on a busy day, yes, they can sound rude. But they have great cars and you cant beat their prices. I bought from them recently and they picked me up from Northampton as I did not have a ride. Had a problem with the car immediately and I took it back the same day. They made sure it was safe to drive and got me to bring it in a day later and fixed it up. So, if you want sweet talking, I guess Nicky D's is not the place for you. But if you want great cars at good prices and reliable service, drop by!

I have had my Scion for almost four years. Honestly, this was the BEST buying experience I have had EVER. They sell good cars at a good price and they don't hustle or bargain. It's all straightforward and I admire the gruff confidence Nickky and Betty put forth. No sleeze and no frills - just a good service. If you have ever gone to Honda or LIA anyone (think boiler room circa 1990 mentality), you will appreciate how easy Nicky D's makes it.

Nicky D's is very dishonest. I would like to give Nicky D's zero stars but Google only allows minimum of one star. Betty is rude if you have a problem, she is only nice when selling a vehicle. Nick the other owner is extremely rude and yells if you try to talk to him about an issue. Basically Nicky D's is only pleasant if you are purchasing a vehicle. They sell you a clunker that looks nice but when the problems start expect to be treated rudely. On several occasions was told to "drive the car for a while and see if the problem goes away". This effectively runs the mileage up on the car using your warranty up without getting anything fixed. BUY ElSEWHERE! I WISH I HAD BOUGHT ELSEWHERE!

I don't give anyone five stars, so this is my best recommendation. Having the luxury of walking around the lot without someone chasing me around is great. Then they are helpful and knowledgeable. I had a very good experience. Everyone that I worked with the other day was extremely helpful and positive and responsive to my needs. If you check around at other dealers I think you will decide to make your purchase with Nicky Ds.I will be picking up my car this coming week, and feel very confident that they will stand behind their sale. I've heard that they have a check list that they go through before leaving with your vehicle. Plus, I got very positive recommendations from a friend and everything she has said has come about.I'm very happy and excited to pick up my 2008 Prius with everything I wanted in my next car. They have also the the number one choice awards for local auto dealer the past two years. That says a lot. They are also very generous people as far as supporting their community in many admirable ways. That also says a lot about what kind of folks they are.Check them out and don't be put off by a bad experience of someone else. Everyone is different. I think they are the best in this area and I would highly recommend them to my own mother!

I purchased my fifth vehicle from Nicky D's this past October, a 2012 Toyota Camry XLE with very low miles. We negotiated the price down a little to what I expected to pay. The sales staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. I wanted a few things done to the car before I picked it up and they were very accommodating. All the service for my vehicles has always been done by the mechanics at Nicky D's, everything from oil changes, brake jobs to 100,000 mile checkups. The mechanics are extremely knowledgable. I wouldn't go anywhere else to purchase a used vehicle or have it serviced.

Bought a used 2015 Prius from them and had a great experience. Special shout out to Doug, Connor, and Betty for being super friendly, low pressure, and quick to help out with all of my questions and paperwork. Even helped me out with getting a better loan than what my bank had offered. Highly recommended!

Ive been buying my cars here at Nicky D's for 25 years (!), and have always ended up feeling more than satisfied with the low pressure sales approach, smoothness of the transactions and, most importantly the quality of the cars ive purchased. As a matter of fact, I'm needing to change the style car i use to a larger sedan so i can transport seniors.... sooo I thought to myself, good time to trade in my car and find one more suited to my needs.Of course, you know I'm going to Nicky D's first!!

Car delivered in filthy condition. Purchased a 2011 Honda Accord in July 2014, w/ 29,000 miles. Issue with brakes came up, Took 2 weeks to get an appointment and problem still existed after the "fix". I contacted them, was told next available appointment was 2 weeks out. Emailed owner, Betty, no response for 2 days. Ended up getting the brakes fixed elsewhere. My bumper was loose from delivery and took several times of asking to have them correct this with clamps. Auto lock is not working on the rear passenger door. I emailed and called many times, to get them to look at it, was told they needed to order a part. NOw they say they have the part, but no appointments and won't verify if it is a new or generic part.If I knew last year what I know now, I would NEVER have purchased a vehicle from Nicky D's, and I can tell you, this was my first and last purchase from Nicky D's.

A great experience from the beginning. Dave was amazing - no pressure sales. Just what I like. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions. Not sure why Betty gets some bad reviews, but she was fantastic and went above and beyond to make the whole process go smoothly. I will definitely buy my next car from them! JS

Couldn't give me a straight price on a tire rotation, every time i asked about price the lady bizarrely kept telling me "I don't know how long it's gonna take". It's a tire rotation, i'm fairly certain that even if one only has hourly labor rates, tire rotations should be a standard rate. period.

There's a reason this place wins awards almost every year. They seem to go out of their way to have good quality cars on their lot. Honda, Toyota, etc... Brands which are known for dependability. Its in their interest, because in my experience they honor their warranty. This has saved my family's finances more than once. If you are buying a used car in western mass, you owe it to yourself to check out their inventory before you go elsewhere.

Do not trust this dealer. They sell cars with problems and then hassle you and are very rude when you try to get them fixed under their so called warranty. If you complain to the Better Business Bureau, Nicky D's will pay for your repairs, and then lie and say that your car was not under warranty but that they were being nice and paid for your repairs. In addition, they will call you "hostile" and "racist" for calling and getting upset after having waited over 2 months to try and get your car repaired. Deflection and poor customer service are the standard practice at this dealer.

Bought a Toyota Rav4 almost two years ago. Was buying it for my wife for Christmas. The car had some paint missing from the right rear corner panel. Nicky took care of it very quickly and it looked brand new after they worked on it. I traveled all the way from Clifton Park, New York to purchase this car because Nicky had the best price in a 100 mile radius from where I live. I've read where some have complained about how they have received less than desirable treatment from the staff and I can't argue with that, but I will counter by saying I was tough on Nicky while negotiating the price of the Rav4 I was purchasing. I felt bad at one point for him and actually stopped pressuring him when I saw he wasn't handling it well. He's a hell of a nice guy and I told him how much I appreciated his willingness to fix the paint issue as well as negotiate a reasonable price. Buying a car is not for the faint of heart. You have to be patient as well as persistent. They get it from the buyer all of the time. I'm not surprised if once in awhile they become short with their customers. They're a good group at Nicky D's and my wife still loves her car. If it wasn't for Nicky, I'm not sure my wife would have gotten the car she wanted for Christmas. You have no idea how happy she was when she woke up and saw it sitting in the driveway. Everyone at Nicky's knew how important this was to me and did everything to help and assist me in the process and delivery just before the holidays. I had to make a few trips from NY to finalize the deal and everyone at Nicky D's made if worthwhile. I've been looking for another car lately and have visited several local dealers in my area. Just about everyone of them has given me the runaround. I'm now looking to see if Nicky can give me another great deal.

I am so surprised at the awful customer service this place has to offer. Not everyone is bad (Todd is nice) but in what world would you think its okay to come barging out of you door yelling at a customer for asking a simple question on a repair that was just done. The owner literally came out the door yelling at me saying that I was questioning his technicians and started going off about how unhappy he was about paying for warranty work done to my car then tried to tell me to leave. I was extremely furious that he would think it was okay to do that. All i did was call them up and ask if it was normal for a catalytic converter to smoke after being replaced. I was told to come down and have it looked at and the owner wouldn't just tell me that it was okay and let me leave peacefully without running his mouth first.

Pros: No-pressure sales at fixed prices. The prices are also very good - at least, the sticker price is. In the long run, you wind up paying a lot more money...Cons: Zero service and deceptive practices. Examples:- No issue is ever simple - it's always "we'll call you back tomorrow" and then you never receive a call. If you want any service, or have any issues, you need to put in a lot of effort to get any attention.- I paid $100 for an extra key to my vehicle, and after three follow-up calls I still don't have it (they never offered a reason why, just "we'll get back to you").- I called with a major issue during my warranty period, they said "that may go away on its own, so call us back in a month." The issue, of course, did not go away, and by that point I was out of warranty and had to pay $600 for repairs. Yes, I should not have been stupid enough to fall for this trick, but this is still rotten service.

THE BEST! Brought my Beetle for body work. It was finished in 4 days and they gave me a FREE loaner with a full tank of gas. These folks are caring, generous, and just plain LOVELY. Best customer service around.

Nicky D s made car shopping enjoyable for the first time in my many years of shopping for cars. Berry and Dan are some of the most honest and nice people I have ever met in the car industry. All dealers, New and used, should follow their way of doing business.David N.

I stopped in, shopping for a car this month, and they had some nice used cars here. I was interested in one in particular. The sales associate was great. Now to the good stuff. I had a trade in that I had done the research on before going to Nick Ds. The blue book marked between $2,500 - $3,500 for my vehicle, depending on the shape of it. Now, I know they have to make deals that keep them in business, but this one was very interesting. I took their Toyota Rav4 out for a test drive, while they were checking out my truck. I got back and the owner said he could only offer me $300 for my truck. I just laughed and out I went. I found a dealer that gave me just under $2,000 for my truck. The lesson if you go here is watch out for the low balling. This one was wayyyyyy low...........he was definitely looking to get one over on me, maybe he was trying to rip me off, maybe he was racist, maybe he just tries to lowball, who knows. My review is definitely shrouded by the owners need to pull one over on me. So, read this with that understanding.

I would give this dealer zero stars if possible. Purchased a vehicle, and the only time this dealer was nice was before the sale. After the sale, the dealer was difficult to deal with. Had a hard time getting anything fixed under warranty, and was given very poor customer service and a terrible attitude when I tried to make appointments to get the vehicle repaired under warranty. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. Not sure how they won the Valley Advocate poll, but they sure are not the best dealer.
