A buddy of mine recommended this place quite a few years ago. I took our Chrysler minivan that had issues, and they rebuilt the transmission to like new condition at a very reasonable price. Recently our Subaru had a self-inflicted transmission issue due to my mistakenly draining 4 quarts of transmission fluid and driving the car a short distance. Without realizing the mistake, we had the car towed to the local West Springfield Subaru dealer for diagnosis and they told me I needed to replace the transmission for $16k ..... yes, 16 thousand dollars. They refused to add transmission fluid to bring it back to the normal level and told me I had two options: 1. replace the transmission for $16k or 2. take the car elsewhere! Recalling my experience with Hi-Tech from years ago, I called them and asked if they could help. Bill got on the phone and after I told him my story, he couldn't believe the dealer wouldn't add back the transmission fluid and then diagnose any issues. He also said they could and would repair the transmission - if repairs were necessary - for much, much less than $16k. He said it may even need no repairs with the fluid brought back to the normal level. Well, to make a long story not too much longer, we had the car towed to Hi-Tech where they added the missing fluid that very afternoon. They cleared the fault codes, test drove the car for several miles, perfomed a diagnostic check and found that everything was perfect - no further issues! We've put close to 500 miles on the car since this episode with no issues and expect many more trouble free miles. These guys are awesome - Bill and his entire staff! Fair and honest to start with and very down to earth. Highly recommend!

First, I wish for Google to have an extra-special star for places like these! I brought them my almost 20 year old Mustang 5-speed(TR-3650) with a complicated clutch bearing shaft issue that another local shop messed up the previous year and made a repair that didn t take. So I called Hi-Tech, scheduled a date to drop off the car and within a couple of weeks, they had it running like day 1. Their prices are fair and the work performed was flawless. Highly recommended! Thank you Bill, Travis and Team.

I'm 37 and this was the first time I had ever brought a vehicle I owned to have someone else fix. Automatic transmission fixes are not a diy thing. I was nervous at first but once I listened to the boss man talk, I was in. He knew exactly what he was doing and I was going to be well taken care of. It's about a month later and my trucks shifting perfectly, he took the time to tell me everything they did and what upgrades went into it to eliminate the factory issues they come with. Would recommend to anyone.

Think these guys are just to busy to give car a proper check. Came here when powertrain light came on in my car. 6 day later I call n they say they checked all the wiring and cant find anything wrong. Turned off check engine light n sent me on my way. Car was running great. I thought sweet! Then a couple days later it happened again. Powertrain light came back on, cars limping around. Called them up they said come back in we ll take another look. 3 days later i call them n they say yeah we still cant find anything. Turned off my engine light n sent me on my way again. Sure enough light comes back on.. limping around everywhere. Took it somewhere else this time n they found a couple breaks in wiring n had me fixed up in a couple hrs.. not sure if high tech transmissions actually really looked at my wiring that whole time they had it but they charged me for a couple hrs diagnostic anyway.

Everyone was great to work with. They knew what they were doing, have years of experience and explained all details to me! If you have to spend a ton of money getting a transmission fixed, best to take it here, as they KNOW what they are doing!! Happy to do business with them!

They rebuilt my transmission to the tune of $3200 and the car drives like new now. Unfortunately it took 4 weeks to get the job done. Would go back again since they are the best, just wish they were a little faster.

I thought I had an expensive maybe $2,500+ transmission problem. Bill Taft drove the car a few minutes & said no, it's a wheel bearing issue, costing much less. VERY honest people.

They were quickly diagnosed and gave it a quick fix. They make the repairs on Thursday. This place is amazing for fixing transmission issues and the people are friendly.
