I was in a jam when my alternator died 2 days before Thanksgiving. Dan at Shawsheen Sunoco told me he could get the work in despite a busy workload. I had it towed in that night, and by 4:30 Wednesday the work was done. The cost was what he quoted. Good price on the alternator. I'll be going back.

I always go to Shawsheen Sunoco for oil changes, annual stickers and minor repairs. Dan and team do a great job, communicate really well and meet the timelines they quote.

My car was towed there Monday night for a nail in the tire. By 9 am I had a call that it was fixed. The men that work there are nice and communicative! And they are fair priced! I will definitely go there for future service!

This ia a full-serve-only gas station. The attendants are friendly and usually they will wash your windows as well. If you pull to the north end of the lot, they have a FREE air hose. I haven't seen one of those in years, and it is great!They do maintenance or inspection work, too, but I haven't done that with them.

My flat tire was repaired swiftly and well at a very good price.The service here is extremely courteous and prompt. No wonder they're so busy!

I take my car here for inspections, they do a really good job. They seem to treat all the customers really nice, and don't take them for extra $$$ from what I have seen. FYI I do most of my own repairs on my 4 family cars so I can't judge their ability in that department except by what I see in the waiting area and by talking to customers.

"I went in to have my vehicle inspected only to have the mechanic return telling me I had "MAJOR" problems. The car failed due to an exhaust leak and the e-brakes inability to hold at 1500 RPM."The SAME EXACT thing just happened to me. He also failed me for safety because he claimed i had no seatbelts in the backseat of my car. I DO. They were just tucked into the seats- he could have easily pulled them out!All Emissions completely passed. He also wrote my headlights were an issue because they weren't polished. The car is a 2002! I can see completely fine at night with the headlights.The owner was extremely nice and we chatted for a bit. The mechanic who inspected my car is unbelievable. Don't waste your time or money with getting an inspection here.

I just found out there is a new owner and how did I find out . Well I have been using this station for over 12 years my car broke down and when I brought it in the owner bob said it would be 700$ to fix well I brought it to a different mechanic and fortunately what he said was not true it was an 12$ part I m so disgusted that they would do this to me

I can't recommend this place for people with Teslas or any modern car.I went in for a routine state inspection and the manager/owner chewed me out for "wasting their time" and to "go somewhere else" because I put the car in Valet mode and didn't disclose my PIN (to hide private calendar/calls/addresses of course), and he thought he couldn't see the odometer because of that. In reality you can easily check the odometer in Valet mode (using the exact same method in fact), they just didn't know how. I was also available within 5 minutes to show them if needed.I can understand not knowing features of modern vehicles, but the fact that the owner/manager just immediately jumped to accusing and attacking me instead of working with me to learn and understand shows he's just a disrespectful person.Speaking of wasting time, in all my life going through inspections, I've never wasted this much time (almost 2 hours) for a 10 minute operation (with a vehicle with zero emissions testing required no less).I would've given 1/5, but I do want to mention that the mechanics and inspectors doing the actual work were totally fine and friendly.

When Steve still owned it, Shawsheen Sunoco was a place I trusted and took both our cars to. We have older cars, and I trusted Steve to always give me an honest estimate of what was wrong. He even turned me away from getting repairs other mechanics said I needed, if he thought they weren't necessary. So I'm deeply disappointed to say that since new ownership took over, I have had exactly the opposite experience. One of our cars sat idle during the pandemic, and it needed some TLC to pass inspection and be workable again. It's a 2005 Toyota with 131K miles on it, but the engine is good, and during the car shortage we're in, we hoped to get it road-safe for another year at least. Shawsheen gave me a laundry list of things that were wrong that totaled at least $4000 (they stopped diagnosing at that point), and said it should be scrapped. However, given the current car shortage, it seemed like we should try to verify that this was the case. We took it to a mechanic our friends have used for years. He said that there was a stuck caliper making the "scary sound" (that's a quote on the paperwork from Shawsheen), and the clutch and brakes were actually fine (both of which Shawsheen said needed to be replaced). Total? $600. They've lost my business.

I have been going to Shawsheen Sunoco for over twenty years for service. I do most of my auto maintenance myself, but when I am in need of a repair I can't handle I go to Shawsheen Sunoco. I have had Electronics diagnostics and repairs, chassis, exhaust and wheel alignments, tire mounting and balancing done here with fair pricing and professional service every single time. There is also a warranty with the repairs. They have done repairs on all of my family's cars also without a complaint. They are always careful with my cars.

Great customer service! Got a flat tire here. In the rain. And the friendly man working there brought out the shop jack, instead of our rinky dink Jack we had out. Then put on our donut in the matter of 2 minutes. Highly recommend!

Amazing service! I highly recommend to anyone. Reasonably priced and honest. Very relaxed atmosphere, no stress at all. I will continue to take my car to Steve for a long time. I, too, don't understand the bad reviews.

Anyone who is giving this place less than 4 stars is a moron. Notice everyone who did give it a low review were told they needed to fix their car or that the workers didnt bend over backwards for them. The station is extremely accommodating and friendly dont let one bad review shy you away from coming into this establishment. The place is always busy for both auto work and gas but be patient and level headed and your turn will come. No work besides gas is done sundays and they do oil changes and state inspections Saturday til 12.

Really surprised to know that this gas station and service station has been in town forever. Took my truck for annual inspection (on Friday) with odometer reading only 43k and they fail my inspection stating the tires were not safe. Then they wanted me to make appointment with them for tire replacement... Really ?? Took the truck first to dealership and then to NTB. Surprisingly both confirmed that I still can get 20k miles out of the current tires. As I was travelling to NYC on Sunday and didn't want to drive with a "R" sticker, I got new tires and took the truck back on Saturday morning for reinspection which is free for the customer after they have made necessary repairs, but also mandatory for inspection shop to reinspect the returning vehicles with "R" stickers as priority as they have prepaid the inspection fees. The owner, tells me to bring the truck next week.. even after multiple requests and letting him know the urgency and driving plans, he denied a reinspection. Wow.. never have experienced such a character with this kind of a big temperamental attitude. Probably he is pissed that I didn't get the tire work from his shop. Also instead of admitting the truth that he closes his shop on Sunday, he misguides people that state doesn't allow inspections on Sunday. State of MA has never mandated this kind of restrictions, as the RMV/DOT know majority of working population can ONLY get inspections done on weekends. All other inspection stations who are open on Sundays do the annual inspections with no extra charge.Will not recommend this service station for any inspections or repair works.

I'm not sure what happened with the reviews who gave this place 1 star, but my family and I have been coming here for all of our car needs for years. The shop manager is Steve and is incredibly accommodating and never tries to oversell. He is flexible and my family and I have not had a bad experience there after what must be over 50 visits for all of our cars over the past 10 years or so.

An unusually pleasant visit to a gas station! Seldom do you meet such a friendly face providing excellent service when you are stopping for gas. Demetri was so pleasant and accommodating, it is difficult not to comment on his positive attitude and willingness to provide service above and beyond. Great job Demetri, your bosses should be proud.

I go here every year to get my vehicles inspected. The staff is friendly and courteous and the station is very clean and well-maintained. Plus they exclusively have full-service gas fill ups!

The owner is nice...but the mechanics are morons. I went in for an oil change and they put the wrong oil in and shorted me. Now I am facing a 3000 dollar repair bill to fix my engine. Stay away unless you want to replace your entire engine.

Great honest place, I have no clue what the other reviews were about, i dont think they went to this place because what they are talking about is nothing like what Steve (owner) or any of the other mechanics would do. I worked there for my first job and loved it, I still bring my car to them to this day
