Excellent source of necessities, breakfast and lunch. It s just an hour walk from Menemsha basin if arriving by boat or 10 min by car. Fun!

We stopped here for lunch on the way to the cliffs. Sooo glad we did. We started off with a slice of pepperoni pizza and a chicken salad sandwich. Both were great. My husband was still hungry, so he ordered the North End sandwich. Omg....this sandwich is fantastic. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I plan on trying to make it at home. We also purchased a dark chocolate cookie and iced lattes, which were all excellent. There's some seating out on the deck. The prices are quite high, but that's too be expected for the area. The staff is very friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to stop by for one of those delicious sandwiches.

We ordered the meatball sub at the Chilmark General store and it was a delightful sandwich, full of flavor! The salad was good too!

Not only was my order incorrect but it $50 for 2 sandwiches and 2 cokes. we were not told of the three dollar and 50 Cent add-on for adding bacon. Staff is super nice but never again it s too expensive (they also need to change their sign out front from handicap only to accessibility ramp . Update: have actually opened the sandwiches up and there is a disappointing lack of food within them. That is less than 2 ounces of turkey and definitely not $3.50 worth of bacon. Never posted a review like this before but something needs to be said.

Pizza and sandwiches are awesome. A little bit of everything in case you forgot something from a shopping trip to a big supermarket. Parking is always tough though, but it's pretty much the only game in town.

General store with a limited selection of grocery staples. Also has a food counter with subs, salads and pizza with gluten free options. No bathrooms available for customers!

Love the General Store concept and we've been coming here for years but the even for MV overpriced food is abysmal. Kids hated the pizza: no cheese, minimal sauce come on guys its over $20! The salads are served with less than half a teaspoon of dressing and the iced coffees had NO ice. We won't get beach sundries here again.

Food was excellent but the coffee was just OK and overpriced for the quality. The salads and sandwiches are really good and the baked goods are excellent

Excellent Pizza. Probably the best on island. Great variety of toppings. Perfectly cooked. Crust was dense and chewy but crispy and delicious. Great online ordering that is easy to use and contact less pick up.

I hadn't been there for a couple of years and it's been refurbished under new ownership. Now it's less of a general store and more of an upscale market. Lots of tempting toys, housegoods and food items. Serves the needs of the upscale vacation area

Great little trinket shop! Along with gift items there is also a mini store inside which is awesome, especially if you are up-island!

Best cheese pizza we've had in a very long time. Thin crust and done just right.

Got a Margherita Pizza last evening. They put what I guess was basil leaves on it before baking. Sauce was blah, cheese no better. Worse pizza I ve ever eaten that I didn t make myself.

As an island resident of 40 years, we're sadly used to mediocre overpriced food. The thing is it's not much harder to make something good. If you cared. First (possibly last) "veggie" slice of the season today had exactly 2 wee florets of brocolli. Price was $13.70 for 2 slices. Primo cared. We're hoping the season will evolve to include an ethos of pride in what you're making and sharing with those who support you.

Wow!! Such a great store, and such great people working there! They have great options for breakfast lunch and dinner, and they have really high quality food! The staff is always super helpful and welcoming, and I really just love the atmosphere of the store. Great job to everyone who works there :-)

Yummy breakfast sandwich. Cute interior. Clean. Takes you back to a simpler time. Take out pizza was wonderful. Rocking chairs on the porch, a great store to visit and patronize!

This place has all the beach picnic foods a hip urban dweller is looking for on a rustic island. They have a fantastic selection of crackers (gluten free too), jams, cheeses and more. Their prepared foods are a big hit. I came here for sunscreen and ended up paying $4 more than what the same brand costs in a basic grocery store. That s to say this place isn t cheap but it s got all the right stuff.

So I held the door open for this old bald guy walking up, and he shouts at me in a Bronx accent to stop it. I said what, I'm just holding the door, I don't mind? He said it makes me feel like I have to rush, so I'm not rude making you stand there, but I don't want to rush. "Just let the door close naturally," he yelled at me. I said why should I if I don't mind, because I'm not in a rush either and we were about to get into this whole argument when another old guy walks out and says "LARRY! HOW ARE YOU!" and suddenly they're arguing about something or another, politics and secretaries of State, so I just slipped away and let the door close naturally. Prices here are okay by the way for being on a remote island, and the aisles are a little skinny but that means they can fit in more inventory. Good place overall.

Cute general store with great cookies and sandwiches. There is clear signage everywhere about only 5 people in the store at one time and only one person per family. Aisles very narrow so makes sense. Place food order on line before arriving or there is a kiosk on the porch to order. Only need to go in store if you want groceries. That helps them meet the 5 person maximum. Everyone trying to do their best with new rules.

I used to buy 2 or 3 pizza's for sunset dinner at Menemsha beach, purchased the Stonewall today. A bit disappointed as it was ok but not over the moon like in years past, I've been buying pizza there since 90s. It was best on island.

I paid $64 for 1 large Pizza and a Gluten free personal pizza. They really are not clear about their pricing structures and do not tell you your total over the phone so don't be surprised if your order ends up being A LOT more than you expect for very little food. The quality is good but with extra toppings you could end up paying more than 10 to $13 per slice! Caveat emptor!

I went into this store w/family not seeing the signs about 1 per family. We were met with them pushing us out the door and causing a scene. I was an honest mistake and it would have been taken better if we were spoken to a lot better then they did. Very rude and nasty. I will never go back and I will not ever suggest them for anything. My children are still upset.

This place used to be awesome but they re going downhill fast. The quality and consistency have went down so much over the years. Today I tried to order a pizza over there phone and was informed that they only take online orders now. I ve seen a few vineyard businesses do this during/ post covid and it s really disappointing. This is clearly a scheme to take convenience away from the customer and give it to the business. Shame on you chilmark store

Saw two bald guys yelling at each other on the porch. Not sure what it was about, but one of them ripped his shirt off. Something about being disgusting. Maybe one of them sweated into the other s soup? Great entertainment 5 stars.

The pizza and bread in this place are some of the best you can get anywhere. Place your order online to beat the wait, hands down a very surprising and amazing find on the island.

Like most things on MV this place had expensive foods, especially since most of it is locally made, high quality stuff. The coffee was great and the foods looked nice and fresh from the local farms. You can get everything from salads and sandwiches to ice cream and drinks and produce. It will cost you an arm and a leg, but when on vacation might as well splurge! You get what you pay for here. In addition, they have an awesome deck on which are set up a bunch of rocking chairs. I could've sat there all day in the shade!

The best place to visit if out end up finding yourself in this small town. Great pizza and slushes! I stay in Chilmark every summer and always stop by here for a slice of pizza and a nice mango slushy, and these are not like the usual bad icee ones, there a REAL slushy! They also have groceries, more food like meatballs and sandwiches, candy, and more! Make sure to check it out if you end up here in Chilmark!
