Very fast! Loved being able to get a battery and air filter done at the same time, with staff that were very kind and friendly. I know it could ve probably been cheaper to some of the things myself, but you can t beat the convenience as someone who was busy and barely able to fit this stop in. I also appreciated them explaining what they were doing. Very good team at this site. I will happily come back. Thanks!

If you care about your car please do not bring it here. I ve been bringing my car here for my last few oil changes bc it has been quick and easy. Well, I should have known that a poor job was being done by how quick and easy things got done.I am currently on a road trip- I got an oil change a week before to be save. I am currently half way through the trip, stuck at a dealership getting the under cover of my car screwed back on correctly bc the workers at Valvoline were to lazy and lacked caution of safety to ensure it was properly secure. The dealership said I was lucky as half the cover was hanging off and I was driving on the highway. Dealership also found leaking oil coming from my vehicle. Why? Ohhhh because they used an oil cap for a SUV and not one used for a jetta. Luckily, I caught things when I did and I am safe. Long story short, I will be reaching out to higher management regarding a refund on my recent oil change. And, do not go here!!!!!!!

Super quick and efficient, they checked a bunch of stuff on my car out and did the oil change too. In and out in like 20 minutes and I did not even have to get out of my car. 10/10 would recommend.

My wife and I pulled into Valvoline on my way to moderate a seminar. I had been coming to this location for years, and I had always been happy with their service.I told the manager "T" that I wanted a conventional oil change, but T told me that they were out of conventional oil. T said that I would have to use synthetic oil instead.The next day, I was driving to work when my tire pressure light came on. I pulled over and checked the pressure, and it was low. I had to put air in the tire myself. What a joke!I was disappointed with the service I had received at Valvoline. I felt like they had rushed me through the oil change and didn't take the time to do a thorough job. We decided that this would be the last time we went to Valvoline!*This occurred 6+ months ago

Fast and easy. You don't have to get out of the car to wait in an unheated room in a garage. Even better, their technicians are efficient, friendly and helpful.

I have been to this location a few times. The first few times I had good service on my car but poor customer service from an older black guy. He was sarcastic and condescending. This most recent time I went I was warmly greeted and serviced by 3 gentlemen. Jay was enthusiastic and helpful so I felt comfortable that he would make sure I received proper service. Ryan serviced my car quickly and ended with a joke. Great job guys!Service: Oil change

Very quick and easy oil change! Also changed filters which was convenient. Staff was friendly and made the process a great experience. Would definitely recommend!

I have been using this location since 2013 and this is the first time I was told that they were out of conventional oil and that my only option was to use synthetic oil which is far more expensive. I also have had 4 tire rotations performed at this location. The last time I visited them about two weeks ago , I was told that they don't do them and that I would have to go next door to Mavis Tire.

I dropped in for some quick questions and service some weeks ago. Courtney and her team were attentive, skilled and super helpful. They went above and beyond with skill, service and humility. I am planning my next visit for oil change soon. This is a great team here.

I was refused service for an oil change by manager Tyrone because my truck has a skid plate on it and reported that he didn t want one of his guys getting hurt taking it off (~30lbs). In the same breath he then stated he couldn t perform the oil change because they could perform 4 regular oil changes in the time that it would take to perform this one secondary to the skid plate (it s an extra 4 bolts to take off and put back on). I ve been using this location since I was in high school over a decade ago, naturally with a different car. I will no longer support this business as well as no longer recommend their services to anyone including my family/extended family, friends in the Cambridge/Somerville community, and you the reader. If anything, support a local business next door at Jack s gas or honestly anywhere else aside from Valvoline. I m really disappointed in the way that Valvoline has fallen off at this location and the way I was treated by Tyrone.

A great experience! Didn't try to push any sales on me, just asked what I'd like for the visit. I was recommended a couple procedures, but was also told I could so them at later dates when I could afford them.

These guys are incredible I did my oil change my coolant changed in my brake fluid change my radiator started leaking not sure if it was because my radiator was old or they did something wrong but they went ahead and changed it for free. I highly recommend you do your oil change here because if anything ever goes wrong they are there to help you great customer service as well. And very professional the manager was very helpful I will do my oil changes and everything else is needed for fluid in my vehicle for the rest of my life at the mass Avenue location in CambridgeService: Oil change

First time car owner/servicer and these guys did everything to put me at ease. I had planned on stopping by for an oil change, but found myself with a dead battery that morning. Brought my car in (after I got it jumped) and they took care of everything straight-away. Michael was very patient and explained everything to me in detail (I had a lot of questions as it's my first car) and even helped me find a coupon to save me a few $$$ since I had to replace my battery. Great service, and very helpful staff. Will bring my car here again for my next oil change.

I came yesterday, because I had just purchased a Groupon for my oil change. The attendant informed me, that it had to be 24 hours after purchase. He still checked my oil, and assured me I was fine until tomorrow. The other attendant told me he would be there at 7:30 in the am. I...am not a morning person, so I chuckled and said: See you at the end of your shift. He was not there when I arrived :-(, but a very lovely young lady named Courtney was. She was extremely professional, very personable, and was wearing a mask . She answered every question I had sincerely and respectfully. She even fixed my washer fluid connection, without charge. I thought I had to bring it into the Dealership. She is a GEM!!! The other gentleman was personable, pleasant, and just as professional. In fact, all 4 of the technicians were pleasant, and polite. Especially in these times of strict regulations and protocols.I will come back to this location every time I need something checked/looked at. I will also highly recommend them to my friends. Thank you so much for such an awesome experience.

With groupon coupon, you get cheap service. The guy just told me if you use groupon coupon, you get CHEAP SERVICE.I went in there for an oil change last week, and seems like they didn't screw the splash guard/shield properly. After the oil change, my car was making scraping noise over bumps. When I took it back, they told me cheap money, cheap service. They fixed it, but I'm not confident they did it well, as they literally told me YOU GET CHEAP SERVICE.I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It just seems they don't want any business.Service: Oil change

As a vet, I am impressed. The crew is well drilled on the processes, and when asking for something unusual they are mentored through the process by senior and knowledgeable staff. In my case, they caught something that could have potentially been catastrophic and had it fixed within minutes. Very impressed with the service and the thoroughness of the checks. Having used plenty of other services, I cannot recommend these guys enough. Excellent.

Similar to Stephen s comment below, I had a less than great experience at this location. I had mention my coolant light was on and if we could look into it. In addition they did not check my tire pressure also entered just 35. By the end of the service I asked about my light and they said they took care of it..however it is still on today.

Went in the morning and was seen immediately. The technicians were friendly, though when they were recommending other services, they spoke very fast, which made it feel like more of a sales pitch than services I should get for my car. I had a coupon, so the price wasn't too bad (about $30, $45 without) and they refilled some of my fluids, which doesn't happen when I go to other places, like Monroe's.

Oil change was fine but when they took off the skid plate for the change they broke or lost several bolts and did not inform us and instead just put a zip tie on it - which we did not notice until 2 weeks later when the skid plate got caught on the road and started dragging and is now fully bent and broken.

The entire staff is awesome! Super fast, honest, helpful, professional, and kind. Michael takes his time to explain things and make every customer feel important. Highly recommend!! Love this team!

The staff here are amazing. Was skeptical of using drive-through service for anything more than an oil change, but I've also had my diffs/transfer case serviced as well and every experience has been pleasant. Will continue using them for light scheduled maintenance. Thanks!

Love this place! This review is for Jessica and crew, she is a rockstar and their work is efficient! I work down the street and knew my car needed some maintenance...drove in around 1pm on a Sunday and was out by 1:30! They knew exactly what needed to be done, gave great advice without trying to push products or services and the whole crew works so well together they genuinely look like they're having a great time doing what they do, great vibe! I left feeling much more educated on upkeep for my vehicle thanks to Jessica's extensive knowledge and really appreciate the ease of this experience! Thanks again!

Outstanding service. I don't usually write reviews but this was a very positive experience compared to the typical oil change. Bright, cheery efficient crew got my oil change done quickly, communicated clearly and got me out and on my way. Well done.

I always go to Valvoline on Mass Ave, the one in North Cambridge. Today I got the service done by 2 nice ladies.Very professional, answered all my questions while changing the oil. I will recommend this place to anyone near Cambridge, Boston, Arlington, Somerville, Medford,.....

Staff was friendly, fast, efficient, and were more than willing to show and explain any problems they came across. Did not try to up-sell me, simply gave me the information and let me decide what to do. Tyrone (the manager present when I visited), was genuinely happy to help me and that makes a big difference.

My experience was friendly and quick. Brian, in particular, was very courteous both on the phone and in person. I barely had to wait for the service, and once my car was in, Gianna promptly went through the steps, and I was out within 10-15 minutes. I used a Groupon, too, which sometimes makes businesses a little resentful towards customers, but I did not feel that way whatsoever with this Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Overall, a great experience!
