Vinnie, the owner of this business, is awesome. I had a transmission problem that my regular mechanic couldn't solve and Vinnie figured it out in no time. He took my car for 2 test drives, and because it was a "quick fix", did not charge me for his time. In the future I would not hesitate to go back to New England Transmission. Their pricing is fair, but don't expect them to pick up the phone or call you back if you leave a voicemail.After they replaced my clutch, my car made a high pitched squeal. I thought it was the brake pads, so I went to my usual mechanic. He found that they hadn't fastened the axle properly, but it was a quick fix.Service: Transmission

I was recommended to come here to replace the transmission for my van Ram Pro Master. They replaced it and nothing was fixed. Came back here, and they said it was the transmission computer. I paid extra for that. After a few months I need a new transmission again. They don t take responsibility on what they do. I would not recommend this place.Service: Transmission

I called New England Transmission when I started to have major transmission issues. They got my car in that day, and preformed the repair in a timely manner and for a fair price. The dealership was 3X the price as they would only replace my transmission not repair it. NE transmission notified me that my wheel bearings were also in rough shape, they noticed the issue when they did a test drive. I had them replace the bearings as well. My Car now drives great, I am really pleased with my experience and will be using and recommending them to my friends and family going forward.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair

I brought my car here after a quote from another transmission shop in the boston area that sounded way too expensive. Vincenzo and the guys at New England fixed my transmission in a matter of a week and charged me nearly $2,000 less than what the other place quoted me for. I will not take my car anywhere but here in the future. The shop is well organized and they seem to have a trustworthy, tight-knit group of workers here. Worst experience ever...My mechanic recommended the shop to fix my transmission. Before i reached a final decision about spending all of that money, I asked if the car was worth fixing. He said yes because it is only the transmission that needs to be fixed. I agreed to fix the transmission. It took them three weeks. I had the car for 3 days and had transmission problem again. I brought the car back to the shop. he had it for another week. He had one of his mechanic drop the car for me. When I started the car, there were two lights on and said to bring car back for service. I brought the car back again for repair and got it back after one week again. I was only 5 mins away from the shop and the car stop working in the middle of the street. I called the shop 30 times for help and no call back or nothing from them. Finally, I tow the car to a dealer and found out that a sensor was pulled out when the mechanic was taking out the transmission. I told the owner that and he called me a liar and that his mechanic would not have done that. Then, he told me that my car has a lot of problems and will not be able to get fixed. Of course that is after they f*** my car up. Now I have no car and more problems to deal with. The worst people I have ever dealt with in my life. If you are a mechanic, be good at what you do and take responsibility for your mistake.

Old transmission died in 2018 (now 2024), complete rebuild in 48 hours from first call to the shop, $1500, running great since. Thank you guys!

This company came recommended when I called CLM Repair (who has a good rating on Yelp too) to fix my clutch on my car which was apparently leaking and barely shifting. Vinny was very friendly and helpful. I dropped off my car in the morning Monday, and within a few hours he called me and gave me the assessment. The whole clutch (and master/slave too..) had to be replaced. He gave me a fair price and had the work done by the end of the day ( he even drove to a dealership on the S.Shore to get the master). After I picked it up I noticed there was air in the line and brought it back for them to take a look. They drained the fluid and replaced it all for free. Now I have been driving it for 100's of miles now, and it's better than ever.They were fast fair and stood behind their work, which I have found to be rare.Thank you, Vinny & Co.!

Fantastic group of professionals. Friendly and helpful can call them at the last minute with a concern and they will do their best to fit me indiagnosing and fixing my problem was significant.I had to get my 2007 Jeep towed to this repair shop and had hoped that the technicians would be able to fix the issue Vincent told me my car problem was a battery related he charged my battery and Good to go what surprised me the most was he did not charge me for doing that and keeping my car overnight at his place never been disappointed with the efficiency and attention to detail that makes me returning customer.Belen

good people. not gonna pull a scam on you, gives a great warranty. bring cash or there is a small fee for credit cards. 2 weeks and car has not yet exploded. thanks guys!!!p.s. extra star for creative parking

NET replaced my transmission control module on my 2003 VW Passat W8 a few years ago. It was a big repair at the time that turned out to be completely worth while since now it's 2021 and 100000 miles later. (Yes I put the car to rest this year.)

I drove over one of those concrete parking dividers outside the whole foods parking lot and was certain I ruined the car. I pulled into the driveway at a New England Transmission quite distraught and crying with my windows up. They all gave me space but asked if I was ok. When I finally calmed down I asked for help and they were kind and reassuring. The car is ok but more importantly so am I. They took a look at the car as a courtesy and did not ask me for any money (though I did offer). I so appreciate his kindness. Remember to look for the helpers. They're all around you

My employer fixed his van on this location. I spoke with the owner on the phone he gave us 1year warranty the van didn't less 2 months now he told us not to call him anymore and don't bring the van over. We called him hundreds of times no answer.

Called in a brake pro to replace my rear calipers. Cost me $850 which was a little pricy but they had it done fast, kept me in the loop, and were extremely professional and friendly.

Mi esposo llevo su van y le cambiaron la transmisi�n y despu�s digeron q era la computadora e hicieron otro cobro adicional y despu�s q era otro problema mas y bueno al fin nada funcion� y cuando lo buscamos nuevamente salieron enojados as� q muy mala experiencia porq hay q cambiar otraves la transmisi�n as� q si alguien ve este comentario porfavor no vayan porque despu�s no responden nos hemos sentido muy defraudados por este lugar

Pasamos por New England Transmission ubicado en la Rindge Avenue en Cambridge porque nuestro Suburban estaba teniendo problemas para cambiar de velocidad . Resulta que algunos cables no estaban conectados correctamente. No les tom� mucho tiempo diagnosticar el problema y solucionarlo.
