Got a flat tire last night so I towed my car to Jack's gas on Massachusetts Avenue. The next day I ended up getting 4 brand new tires because the original one were BALD!!!... Nevertheless they took of me with some fresh new tires, thanks guys!

Owner is the nicest guy you ll come by, and he s honest about what repairs your car needs and prices for repairs are very competitive. Man of his word and that s hard to come by in the auto repair industry. Gas prices are reasonable as well.

If you will go this place to fix your car you will go there again for sure. Because your car will be broke down again. It happened to me twice. Specially for inspection don t go there at all. They will try to find something to charge you even if there s no problem. Very bad way to earn money.

I ve only been for gas. It s the best price in the area. I was hesitant to go for a while because I usually pump my own gas but the people who work here are so nice! They brighten my day with how friendly and welcoming they are.

I do not typically write reviews, but I have had two pretty horrible experiences and feel that Jack's tried to take advantage of me. About a year ago I got gas there and someone from the shop came out and told me I had "bubbles" in my tires and they could explode at any moment. He said that I needed to get this done ASAP and offered to do it there. Warily, I drove off but had another shop take a look at them just to be safe. They told me they were absolutely fine and did not have any bubbles whatsoever. This week I was getting gas there again (it's very conveniently located on my commute) and someone came out and said that they would fix my splash shield for pretty cheap. I needed this done so I decided to just have them do it, and they actually did fix it for a pretty reasonable rate. However, they called me while they had my car and said that my front brakes were totally rusted out and the brake pads were worn so low they were not sliding. He offered to fix everything for $450, I told him no thank you as this seemed a bit high and I was again wary that they were trying to get me to pay for unnecessary repairs. He offered to lower it to $390, but that also is much higher than other local shops. I then took my car to another shop for a second opinion and they said my brake pads and rotors were completely fine and nothing needed to be done at all! I learned my lesson (twice...) and will not be going back.

I love it you don't even have to leave your house to get your propane tank filled. Better yet you pay over the phone and they deliver it to you. Can't get any better than that! Their prices are fair for the service. Try it you'll love it.

HONEST, REPUTABLE INSPECTION AND REPAIR SHOP. I came to Jack's (on the last possible day) for my inspection. I drive a German car and frankly know zero about mechanics, so garages often try to take advantage. Not these guys. They were so prompt, professional and honest. They passed my car and pointed out that my brake pads will wear out before next year. I asked them for a ballpark quote--a mechanic in my family later verified the defect was just as they said, and their quote was honest. I am very disappointed since I and my husband have been long time customers for inspections, oil changes, gas and service. I had my oil changed a couple of months ago at Jacks when my sensor told me my oil life was 10%. When I drove off I noticed that the oil life and tire pressure lights were no longer on. I was in a rush and thought I would ask him to turn them back on next time I needed to get my oil changed which was indicated by a sticker. That was today. When I mentioned it he hit the roof and told me to leave and he was not touching the van and he didn't do anything, etc I tried to explain that I was not trying to blame him but those lights turned off as soon as the oil change happened. I didn't think this is such a big deal but I don't know enough about cars. At any rate I got tired of trying to talk with him and another man and said I was going to the dealership to get my sensors looked at. The guy said, "Yeah, Go to the dealer. Bye." Perhaps the sensors would have turned off anyways and it just so happened the oil change triggered them. Nonetheless the handling of the situation was very unprofessional, rude and aggressive. I and my husband will never go there again.

I am a young woman who came in by myself in need of an inspection sticker, and I didn t have the same experience at all as some others have commented. Jamal was really helpful and polite, he brought my car straight in, did a full inspection, applied my sticker, and I was on my way within 15 minutes.

Accepted my car for a diagnostic inspection on short notice and got to it quickly. Was honest about the minimum and recommend amount of work needed to be completed, and was reasonable in talking about the options. Will be sure to bring my car back in the future.

I am a loyal customer for life! Alex is an absolute gem of a person and a mechanic. He has worked on my car more than twice and has been extremely generous with his time. He diagnosed a dangerous exhaust leak by ear within seconds of my pulling up today, potentially saving my family's life (he showed me too, in case I had any doubt). My aunt has been coming to Jack's for years and now I will too!

Great guy's. Excellent mechanics. Reasonable prices. I've brought my vehicle there any time I've had a problem and they take good care of me and my vehicle. Go to Jack's gas. Ask for Sam or Alex.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!!! Jack the owner, is a cheat and a liar. I explained very clearly what we needed to have done to our minivan. He assured me he could get it done correctly, and also that he would not touch the other less important things that I new would be discovered while fixing it. I even asked if he understood what I was saying to him, and he repeated what I had told him. When I went to pick up our minivan, he changed his story completely, he fixed all of the things I wasn't worried about, and none of the things I asked for. On top of that, the steering column was loose, and the horn does not work! He claimed that it was already like that when we brought it!!!! He is a complete liar, It is because of people like him, that people think auto shops only rip you off. Thanks Jack for keeping true to the stereotype that mechanics are cheats and liars. HORRIBLE

AVOID THIS PLACE!I'm fairly certain the person who works/owns here and manages the full-service pump stole my credit card info. I only use one card to pay for gas and after a few weeks getting gas here, I received 3 fraudulent payments on that card. The reason why I think the info was stolen here is because the person who was filling up my tank took my card into his shop where I couldn't see it, even though there is a payment system build right into the pump. The card and whatever he was doing with it was not in my view for a few minutes, which leads me to believe that he was writing down all of the information.

I've really appreciated the effort to explain repairs. I also have got the best service where when the inspection machine was offline they took the effort to take the car to the sister location down the street. Best gas in town too.

Watch out for this guy and his dishonest tricks! He failed me for "mis-aligned headlights" despite two other inspectors seeing no problem. He said that he would pass me only if I paid him to fix it. Then he tried to get me to pay for another inspection since i had brought it elsewhere to confirm that no problem existed with my lights. This is not an establishment with integrity. On top of that, he was quite rude when I tried to get clarification on the issue. I will never go back.

Went here for an inspection by accident, I meant to go to Mobil a little further down the street. Had no issues with them, he mentioned my windshield wipers should be changed soon and that the bird crap on my window also helped contribute to their poorness. Though overall a good experience.

I initially failed my inspection. After making the needed repairs, they tried to tell me additional things were wrong, and that the repairs still didn't pass the inspection. They then charged me again, even though I was right at the 60 day mark...AVOID, they are exactly the stereotype of the untrustworthy mechanic.

I told the guy to fill the gas to 20 and he said he asked me 3X if I wanted to "filled it up" NEVER asked me anything! He said he missed understood me and it kept on going to 32 dollars which is more than filling up my gas tank. He got mad because I got out and stopped the fueling thinking I was going to take off... he had my card why would I take off!!... very upsetting.

I echo Ellie's review below: DO NOT GO HERE FOR CAR INSPECTIONS. I had a rattle in the back of my car and they told me it was the struts, which would cost $600 to replace. Passed my inspection anyway, saying I had to come back Monday. Got a second opinion this morning and it was just a loose heat shield (FREE!).

Wow! Called ahead and went in for an inspection. Got wistled at by the pump attendant when I tried to park. Was told I had to park in a side spot and the attendant would move a car to make room. He never moved the car and told me to go back and wait 20min when I walked over to talk to him. Go back where? I just drove away. What an aweful experience.

The staff are very customer service oriented. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and I feel that the service provided is what was explained to me. I am very comfortable bringing my vehicle here.

Immediately after buying gas from this station, which is full service, my bank notified me that there was an attempt made to fraudulently use the same card I used there. It was the only time I've been there and the only deviation from my normal patterns and purchases. Stay away or use cash only.

Simple oil change failed due to negligence. Washer not replaced and wrong filter used. Lost 85% of oil in four days. Never again.

Bad attitude from the moment they picked up the phone. Would never bring my car to a place that clearly couldn't care less about customers.
