"Rooms" doesn't quite fit for a campground, but I'm thinking this correlates more to sites. Our site #25 was great in length, a little tight in width. The sites here are definitely cozy, but adequately supplied with picnic tables, fire pits, and vegetative buffers. The staff here was friendly, as were the neighbors. Close to the Rail Trail and a number of good restaurants. Just minutes from the town beach which allows dogs after September 15th. All in all a great stay - of course perfect weather helped too!Oct. 6, 2023

I d give more stars if I could! Our first time to Cape Cod was last year and we stayed 8 nights at Shady Knoll. We loved it so much that we booked for this year and we re finishing up our 15 night stay. This campground is quiet, well maintained, and everyone that works here has been incredibly friendly. The showers and bathrooms are kept clean - plus great water pressure and we ve never run out of hot water. We appreciate the (enforced) quiet hours from 10pm-8am - we ve never had a poor night s sleep. There s a market within walking distance and that s a huge plus for that item you inevitably forget. They have a little of everything there and they are really friendly, too! You re close to several beaches, bike trail, great restaurants.. the location is hard to beat.We re still here and we are already planning our 2024 trip back!

Good amenities, nice staff, free shower, water on all sites. But I saw poison ivy at different areas of the campground, mostly near the roads and washrooms. We should have at least been warned and ideally it would be removed or labeled. It's very easy to miss. I'm able to identify it because I am extremely reactive and therefore a bit paranoid about this.

The sites are nice and good location. It is tight for larger units (22' +), the spots and routes are small. The routes are one way. HOWEVER, the only way to access the dump station is to circle back into the campground. The dump is at site 12 or something, so have to fully go through the whole campground the circle back to dump. With the small roads and a larger unit this is inconvenient at best, and there is only one station. hence the 3 star rating.

Other than the poor weather we had a great experience here with our trailer as we did over 40 years ago tenting. On our site we were below the wifi signals and had poor reception. The cable had no channels and regular TV spotty. Bring a good book ,dvds, and beef your data plan. Great time here once more. Bike trail just up route 137 with free parking. Best shopping for food is in Orleans a few miles up. Gas nearby. 137 connects with 6 so you can get to anywhere pretty quickly. Super location.

EDIT: Astonishingly hostile, shrill, and unprofessional phone call received at 11:30am on 6/12. Owner/manager (?) called about "nasty" reviews and "slander" (note: nothing above is "slanderous"...just because someone doesn't like what you have to say about them, doesn't make it untrue).Generally just confirmed my initial impression surrounding the lack of professionalism exhibited by this establishment. If they are willing to call someone up and, instead of try to address and rectify any misunderstanding are INSTEAD looking for a fight...clearly these folks are just a hot mess. DEFINITELY stay away.Original review: "POLICY IS POLICY", even when it is detrimental to their business. So unfortunate. I run an event that tries to support local businesses. We reserved and paid for 5 campsites one weekend, and referred a number of our vendor to this location as well.Despite that, the campground would not hold reservations for the following weekend without full payment in advance. We asked them to hold it for three days and were told "policy is policy".Also, apparently one of our campers taking their child to the comfort station in the rain, so they drove over. Apparently they had barely parked for a moment before somebody in a staff shirt came out berating them for parking there. At 2:00 a.m. Ridiculous. But again, apparently, "policy is policy", logic and business sense be damned.Terrible way to treat a business looking to grow a relationship and not only paid for a number of sites, but directed campers there as well.

Edit: I decided to change this to 5 stars after staying a bit longer. I was very impressed by how quickly they fixed issues. A water line broke and they had it fixed in less than a day. A sign was hit by a truck and it was replaced almost immediately. The staff are constantly trimming back paths and turning over sites.Great campsite! Very friendly staff and well stocked store with lounge area. Water is good and there are some nice walking trails that lead to a really cool community garden.Almost 5 stars. Wifi is unreliable and I can only connect early in the morning. Also it's a bit of a hike to get to the bathroom from our site.

First off all, we are first time campers. My wife chose this campground because of the good reviews regarding the cleanliness of the bathrooms. And we were not disappointed. The bathrooms are very clean and are cleaned multiple times a day. Showering is more private than in any gym or pool. But what I like most is that each camp site is nicely separated by shrubs giving privacy while still allowing to say hello to the neighbors if you wish. Also, the campground is perfectly located near beaches, the cape cod rail trail and stores.

Centrally located for those that love Orleans. Close to both Skaket and Naucet Beach. We love Shady knoll and try to make it there at least once a year.Playground is modern and clean. I feel comfortable letting my kids play there. Some of the other campgrounds on the cape haven't updated their playgrounds since before I was born.

We had a lovely private campsite, and the campground itself had nice bathrooms with free showers. The nature trail that you can access from the campground is really lovely and extends to a community garden and a wood and there's even a whole self-guided tour you can take that starts at a kiosk at the community garden. The people were friendly and hands off and the campground was conveniently located to all kinds of great birding locations. There was a really nice built-in bench at our campsite, too. The ground was very hard and it was hard to hammer in the stakes for the tent and also there were a lot of rocks on the ground. Also be careful of the poison ivy.

Booked a camping spot for a van and had a great experience! Check in took all of 30 seconds. Nice site, basic but very clean bathrooms, hot showers with ridiculously good water pressure, free wifi everywhere! Also, close to the Rail Trail and a pretty beach. Would recommend to friends and family

This is a top notch campground. Excellent staff who do an amazing job! Sites tidied/prepped for the next camper, bathrooms impeccably cleaned, with abundant hot water. Excellent camp store/office. Decent wifi. Quiet, respectful campers. Smooth checkin process. And a great location!Looking forward to future visits.

Nice campground. Nice clean bathrooms. The paths were a little tight for our 39' TT. It was also a little challenge getting out of the park because of its location to another road and some bushes that could be trimmed back. Otherwise a great stay

If you re a big family and you need a lot of stimulation, this is not the place for you. For me and my wife(and Brady the mini Schnauzer) this place was the best. Quiet and clean. Outside the campground within a short walk , was a family run market equipped with everything you may have forgotten and a great deli with plenty of sandwich selections.. Beach 1 mile, Bike trail , half mile. We ll be back in September so we can take Brady on the beach..

It was good for the most part but do not expect the quiet time policy to be respected or enforced. I have spent a lot of time at campgrounds and this was the most infuriating experience so far. The people next to me got up at 6:30 with four or five kids that just started being the most unruly children I have seen in public! They came out screaming and running up and down the road yelling and fighting. Nothing was done. Nobody could be reached. I noticed other campers upset by this as well. There will always be rude people but there should be some enforcement of the quiet time rule. This really negatively impacted our experience here and our vacation overall.

Very nice campground. The restrooms/laundry area are well maintained and kept spotless. Minutes away from several fantastic public beaches. The employees were very friendly and helpful. We found a local trail that could be accessed directly from the campground that gave you a stunning view of Brewster flats.

The sites are VERY SMALL. Parking one vehicle is difficult. No room to set up any game like corn hole unless. The staff wasn t very welcoming at all.At 10 pm, they have a VERY RUDE gentlemen drive around and tell you to stop talking! A conversation between 3 adults was too loud for this place. On two occasions, this man told us we had to stop talking because we were too loud. We all were taken back because we were not loud. The first night he walked into the campsite and said our conversation was too loud. The second night he yelled from his golf cart, we had to stop talking at 10 pm, and the fire had to be out by water at 11:00, or we would have to pay . Stating, there was is a penalty for talking after 10 pm. Now camping is where you can meet people from all over and relax and enjoy except at Shady Knoll! This place is very UPTIGHT, and I would not recommend staying here if you want to sit by a fire and talk, play games, and genuinely want to relax! The campground is quiet with not much to do it is maintained well.

We love this place and have been a couple times now, we will use it again in the future for sure. Clean and tidy bathhouse, a really nice private site in close proximity to the playground. Really useful, handy store on-site. In a nice central location on the Cape. Flexible on dates-let us add on another day a couple months after booking. Definitely tight for our trailer when we were leaving but we made it lol

A wonderful Cape Cod camping experience! The camp site was clean, private, shaded and peaceful. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. The staff in the office were friendly and accommodating, and the rates were a great value. Will absolutely stay here again in the future!

Very convenient location right near many restaurants and nature areas including adjacent walking trails, with the Science Museum/Aquarium down the road and Cape Cod Bike Path nearby. Good sized playground area for kids as well as basketball hoop. Lots of well shaded camping areas tucked among trees to give sense of privacy. Well kept shower/bathroom facilities.

We had a wonderful experience here! We stayed in a truck tent near one of the restrooms, which was very convenient. Our spot, 1F, was quite private and comfortable. Every lot has a picnic table, water, and a fire pit. The restrooms were impeccably clean! We would definitely stay here again!

This was my 3rd year and i figured id do a review1. This is a quiet campground period..if you wanna party goto peters pond park they are not having it here quiet time at most camp grounds are 10 anyway quiet time is strictly enforced2. Theres a reason they have a policy on cars tents and #of adults..dont try n twist it you wont win3. This is a nice small CAMP ground that accommodates rvs, campers, pop ups,and tents...itsa CAMP ground not a rv resort..the sites are snug for some rv ers but i think the're perfect (again on the car tent adults policy)4. If you're looking for bingo night or square dancing goto a koa..not gonna find it here itsa small place its located in the middle of cape cod..theres a world of activitiesoutside the grounds,i luv it5. Im writing this cause i actually read the reviews before i left(i heard somebody complaining bout parking 2 cars..read the rules!!)and figured id give my 2 bits..the bad reviews really dont reflect on the grounds..more so bad experiences, rule breakers or people just not reading rules..3 years ive had a blast trust me

We were excited to stay here because of its location on the cape and looking at the pictures, the camping sites looked great- grassy and private. The campsites are nowhere near what the pictures show. There is no grass and the trees and bushes that surround the sites are sparse. The sites are way too close together making it impossible to sleep past 7 am when you re next to a very loud and inconsiderate family of 8+.It was also obvious that our site wasn t even gone through/swept/cleaned after the previous campers left. The one positive thing I can say is that the bathrooms are clean and there are showers and laundry. Sadly though, we will never camp here again.
