Perfect service! I called in advance and brought my car for a tire repair check due to a inserted nail. The process was extremely fast like 5 min to be finished. 5/5 for sure very professional. Will come back again anytime if needed.

TLDR: quick, friendly, trustworthy, and less expensive than going to the dealership for service.I have taken my car here in the past for inspection and they've done a quick and friendly job. When I started getting an odd battery message, I opted to take it to Mike instead of the dealership. He was able to diagnose the problem within an hour, and called me to give exact costs prior to doing any work. When he got going and found another problem that actually needed a part, he called me again, and again gave me exact pricing before ordering the part. He also gave me status updates on other components (ie my air filters) and estimates for when I should do maintenance on them in the future. My car was all fixed up the next day, and I will definitely be going back to Mike for all of my future maintenance.

I recently visited this auto shop for a routine car inspection and was pleasantly surprised when they went the extra mile by also addressing my brake issues. Additionally, they recommended a reliable service for my windshield repair. Their communication was crystal clear, and their skillful work left me thoroughly impressed. I couldn t recommend Mike s Auto enough. I went in for an inspection and was out there in 15 minutes. For me, the convenience of being able to pop in and get the job done quick is what matters the most. The guys in there are nice, too.

Tom was incredibly helpful. I had questions about my inspection report from another garage and he honestly answered everything and pointed out I should return to the original garage that preformed it to save me money. I will definitely be back!

Came in for an inspection on a recently purchased used car. The old back plate was rusted on and there were no drill holes for a front plate since the car was from PA. The staff were super nice about it, helped me out getting the new plates onto the car, and dedicated a good amount of time getting the stuck passenger window to roll back up.Very stress free experience and great customer service. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend. My friend was dealing w/ several crises and forgot bout her car inspection for over a year. I helped her by taking her car to Mike's Repair Office. They were amazing - non-judgmental, factual bout what they needed, and time involved. They helped us get her car valid within an hour, and flagged issues to address in the coming months. Somewhere between liar and criminal. Did work and then charged us more than the original quote by several hundred dollars. Told us he did work on the heater (unsolicited), we drove it away and the heater wouldn t work, now he claims it s $1600 to repair it and nothing to do with him.

Their inspection service is questionable. They failed my inspection based on front light misallignment and parking brake failure. For the front light, I appreciate their explanation of why it is not safe and I get the same opinion at two other places. However, a inspection station and my mechanic shop both disagree with the parking brake failure. The claim that the parking break disengage when gas pedal is pressed is not true based on a testing I did later that day. I am going to give the benefit of the doubt since they did honestly provide a genuine recommendation for front light, but I would recommend anyone receives a failed inspection here ask for a second opinion before you complete any repair.

I have taken my car for state inspection and also to resolve the issue with check engine light 2 months ago, i know my car had issues with catalytic converter as it was diagnosed at a drive through oil change place while ago. Mike said the previous mechanic who worked on the car has done some faulty repair and they need to look into it so i left the car. He called me next day and said the convertor needs to be changed but however we can change oxygen sensors and other stuff first and said he was trying to save some money for me. Kept the car for 2 additional days claiming he didn t receive the part yet that needs to be replaced. When finally went to pick the car up the bill came out to be $1500 i was in shock i was in a hurry as i had to move out of town fir my internship and the issue was not even resolved. My car still failed the inspection for emission and when asked he was blaming it on the mechanic who worked previously on my car.Please avoid this place any cost they are shady and don t clearly explain what needs to be replaced. I don t even think they replaced the parts in first place.

I highly reccomend Mike's Auto Repair. I came in for a tire leak and state inspection. They were able to fit me into their schedule before the end of the day. I am not knowledgeable when it comes to cars,, and Staff walked me through the steps they were going to take and ensured I understood.

I brought my car here for a car inspection a few days ago. They inspected the car and failed it for having "too much play in the front driver's wheel". Unbeknownst to them, I just had my car in a body shop for some repairs in the same area, so instead of paying them to review the issue further (as I'm sure they were expecting), I took it back to the body shop that did the work. There, they very quickly and willingly inspected the "area of concern" and found no issue with it. They and I then proceeded to reach out to Mike's auto repair at that time, for specifics for the car failing the inspection. They repeated the same vague comments about "too much play", got defensive, and refused to give any more detail. With nothing to fix, instead of going back to Mike's, I took my car to another shop for an inspection for an independent review (incurring an additional $35, in case the concerns raised by Mike's auto were being played down by the by the bodyshop). At this independent mechanic, having done NO work at all to the "area of concern" since the time of review at Mike's, my car passed the inspection in < 2 minutes. Incredulous, I went back to Mike's to point out the discrepancy between their opinion and several others. Did I get an apology? No. I was shouted down and told that "I should have come back to them for a re-review". No offer or even room to discuss a refund. Motorist beware. Avoid this place for inspections and honestly, any type of car service.Service: Vehicle Inspection

These guys were AMAZING. They were professional, respectful, timely, and very kind. They really did me a huge favor. When I drove to work this morning my brakes were shot. I have a long commute home and they were able to get my car finished by end of day so that I can drive home safe and sound. I was impressed by how they explained everything and didn't assume I had no idea what they were talking about. They were fully transparent about everything that needed fixed, costs, and quote. I went here twice to try to get my inspection completed. The first time they said they could do it, took my keys and came back 5 minutes later saying the computer was down and should be back up in 5-10 minutes. They came back in 10 minutes saying it would be 5-10 more minutes because of the computer. I had other commitments so I had to leave and planned to come back later that week. Another day I came back at 4:30 and they said they don t do inspections after 4:30 because they close at 5 - I am surprised their inspection sign does not say that they close at 4:30 then since they dont take any business after that time. If you are looking for a place to get your inspection completed after 4:30 I had a great experience at JP Auto Plaza and they don t charge a convenience fee for using a credit card. They are open and take customers until 6:00 PM.

I needed a new state inspection sticker and work done on my brakes so choose to go here because it was the closest to my apartment. The entire staff was amazing and able to fix all of the issues with my car so it would past inspection. They made sure to keep my in the loop at every step and my car was ready to pick up less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I came in at 2:45 on a Saturday last day of April hoping they could squeeze me in for a sticker before closing at 3pm and they so kindly did. Tommy was terrific, professional, and fast. Great service and I was out in 15 mins. Recommend!

I needed an oil change and my MA state inspection sticker. I called Mike s Auto Repair shop and asked them if they provided these services and their availability, they were super flexible and helpful in answering my questions. Their service was friendly and professional from start to finish. I dropped my car off at 10:00AM and everything was done by noon. Very reasonably priced, especially for this area. Great experience here having my VW serviced here. Had a leaky thermostat housing, called around to a handful of places and Mike's was able to take care of me the quickest! Repair was done cleanly and correctly. Will happily bring my car back here when needed.

My tire pressure was extremely low on my way to a important meeting and I stopped to get air at the first place I saw. Mikes Auto repair had me pull into the garage and filled all four tires. We re from upstate NY and were helping our daughter move. We got a screw in our tire at 4:30 pm on Friday. We called several places and this was the only one that would help us. Car battery died while parallel parked on Huntington nearby, and I didn't know how to jump it without another car. I live nearby so I sheepishly came in and asked for some help. Mike and Tommy were so kind and able to help me immediately. I ended up needing a new battery, which they got replaced within 4 hours (SUPER fast service considering they needed to get the battery from a dealership nearby), and everything was reasonably priced. Really grateful to have such a great mechanic in the neighborhood!Service: Battery

Just brought my pickup truck in for an inspection sticker expecting to have to drop it off and come back later. Little did I know that was far from the truth here! Mike s auto Repair is excellent! I visit the Boston area frequently for work, and this is my go-to shop for routine services.They have changed oil, tires, and brakes on all three of my vehicles. I do a lot of driving, so I have to see them more than the average person.Its always a great, friendly experience, and they cater to my tight schedule! I would highly recommend.Thanks again!
