Fast service and affordable however not good customer service. The worker explained his expectation of the customer is for them to have common sense to communicate amongst each other to know who should/would be serviced next. As a first time customer there, how am I supposed to know you have no check in process and expect me to figure it out with the other customers probably there for the first time as well trying to figure it out?Service: Exhaust

Horrible customer service no respect was given for the customer. They didn t even know how to identify the car. I came to install an exhaust but they installed it the wrong way and when I tried to notify them on how it should be installed they kept saying that they will increase the price. However, there was a guy named Biff and he was very helpful.

The best spot in Boston for any exhaust work! Mikey, Jeremy, Rob, and Biff got my Audi right with the res-delete. Really nice staff and quick service!

I come to Biff at this location for peace of mind about under my car. I hear a rattle in the back near the rear windshield and suspected auto glass or muffler; Biff did the free check and found nothing wrong with the exhaust and muffler, he says it is in good shape and I trust him 100%. He took it for a ride and also was with me in the passenger seat when I drove it around the block. He was able to hear the rattling first hand but we were not able to pinpoint the cause. I don't have to worry about my exhaust or underside of the car being the culprit of the sounds. I try to send anyone i can his way. The service and knowledge Biff and his team provide cannot be beat.

Although they've been very busy and the waiting is a bit long, they still do good work and they move pretty quickly once your turn is up. I send all my people here for exhaust related repairs and upgrades.

Can t say enough! I waited approx 14 mins. Took my truck .customized the muffler on the premises with a cutter in the shop .no labor charged I got the entire muffler for $350...my truck runs so well. I have a 2003 Toyota. Tacoma..I was out of the shop in 35 mins.from putting up on the lift to the end. I am thrilled and highly recommend. I went to the shop beside the Uhaul on the corner of Mass Ave. My mechanic knew them well..but I saved on labor costs a mechanic charges. In all I saved $142.

Excellent experience with Biff who was filling in at Dorchester location on Wed, August 2, 2023. Biff was very kind, courteous and most professional with examining my entire exhaust and replacing/welding in a flex pipe and an exhaust mid section. I was told by multiple repair and exhaust places that I needed to replace entire exhaust system. On my old Audi this would cost $2,000 to $3,000. Biff repaired what was needed and the car is now very quiet and smooth for a most reasonable price. I would highly recommend Biff who is actually at the Roxbury location for any work needed. Thanks for having Biff as part of your team and I think the team leader at the Roxbury location. This was BEST exhaust service I ever had. Best Exhaust shop in Boston. Walked in and they took care of me right away. Was an easy fix and they didn't charge me anything. Lou's employees are all nice and very professional. I did not feel intimidated or disrespected in any way. Although I haven't actually had the job done yet, he was very transparent and forthcoming with the prices I had to look forward to spending.

Highly recommend. I went to another highly-rated auto shop in the area that doesn't specialize in exhaust, and they wanted to charge me over $1k for a full exhaust pipe + muffler replacement. Then I went to Lou's, and in 15 minutes they replaced the section of pipe that was broken for less than 1/10 that cost. I arrived near opening time and still had to wait 2hr, but it definitely paid off.Service: Exhaust

It would definitely help if they opened on time. I've waiting for 45-minutes for them to open. The hours posted is 8 AM and I was there at 7:45 AM along with other customers. They decided to walk in at 8:30, took 15-minutes to get settled and finally opened the door.Since it's a first come, first service, I ended up leaving because 5 people were there before me and I would never be looked at until probably in the afternoon. I've used Lou's in Medford and Lynn with a great experience. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for here.

I believe I needed a catalitic converter I went to some other shop in bluehill and they tried to charge me close to 600$ to fix it...so I heard about Lou's through many people my Dad ended up working across from Lou's at Suffolk and ended up calling me with the great news...not to mention out of every 20 cars in the road you see a Lou's custom exhaust sticker on the back...so not knowing much about the car industry I put it off and my wife tells me she ran into some place called Lou's custom exhaust....I put it off for another week one day we are driving around and we just say alright let's go check out the hype....THE HYPE IS REAL! dude cut the old cat...cut the new cat welded it on and I was out...in like 20 minutes charged 200 with card and 180 with out card...I payed em cash and still have em the 20 for a tip!!!Service: Exhaust

Lou's was highly recommended to me by a friend. The service was great, professional and quick. The price was amazing. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Absolutely love this place. Fast, great work, great pricing and above all, honest. Ive been bringing my vehicles to Lou's for 20+ years. Ive never had a bad experience. Remember, it is 1st come, 1st serve. Go early or be prepared to wait. However, If you do end up waiting, you won't be sorry you did.
