Great place to have blocks and heads done , I have been bringing blocks and heads there for many years and they always get the work done for reasonable money , this is why I keep going back

I'd give him 6 stars if I could.I couldn't find a machine shop anywhere in the Quincy area and someone recommended Motor Tech in New Bedford. I talked to Bob on the phone and he said he could resurface my Honda VTR 1000 cylinder head, no problem. I was going to bring it there and wait while it was done but when I arrived they had just lost power. So I left it with him and he said he would ship it to me when it was done.I was surprised to see it arrive at my door the next day and the job was well done.This is a dying skill and everyone just wants to replace instead of repair, but I am grateful for people like Bob who continue to do excellent work and provide such great customer service.

Let me start with the I had them bore my block .030 over and I received a phone call saying they put 2 large gouges at the top of #5 cylinder wall supposedly tooling issue so I looked beyond that cause there was no ring interference issues then it just continues, cam bearings were installed not inline with the oil journal . When I told him about it he told me they were coated bearings. So I guess what he is saying is you don t need oil to lubricate if you have coated bearings , what a joke . I had them line hone the main journals and they put the main caps on the belt sander instead of machining the proper way . And never machined the block surface , just honed mains , now bearings just fall out not a nice press in fit , put bearings in then flip block over on the stand and the bearings just fall right out . I wouldn t bring my lawnmower engine to them . Everything they did I have to send it to a real engine machine to redo. One thing I will say is they reimbursed me every dollar . Thank you for admitting you did more damage than good!!!!!

Great guys!!! They rebuilt my Chevy small block 35 years ago and just gave it a refresh. Awesome to deal with and very knowledgeable. Thanks again!

I had my xr400r head board out by them. Picked it up the next day. Real quality work and my bike runs great. I would recommend them

It's a shame that more people don't comment on how great this machine ship is. They are simply the best and are willing to take on anything, they have a broad set of skills and know how to get the job done right.
