I m been coming to Smooth for almost 10 years. They do a great job explaining the issue and they work hard to provide you the best service at a fair price. If you want to feel good about getting your car serviced, Smooth is your shop. I highly recommend them to anyone needing service. We also use Smooth to mount our winter tires every year. They store our off season tires for a small fee. We love this service. Thanks Frank and Brandon!

My experience was exceptional, thanks to Brandon and the rest of the team. Brandon's professionalism and friendliness stood out as he not only performed the alignment service we came in for but also went above and beyond by identifying and fixing other defects in our vehicle that we were unaware of especially them knowing we driving all the way to Florida.During our visit, we accidentally dropped a $100 bill, and to our surprise, Brandon and another employee promptly approached us to return the money. Their honesty and integrity were truly commendable, and it's evident that they prioritize their customers' well-being and satisfaction.I greatly appreciate the outstanding service provided by Brandon and the team . Their attention to detail, honesty, and dedication to ensuring customer safety are qualities that set them apart. Took my car in for an oil change. They pointed out some relatively urgent maintenance that needed to be done, and were kind enough to fit me in later that week to replace an unevenly worn-out tire and a tie rod, as well as doing an alignment.They also highlighted that the engine air filter needed replacement, which was an easy enough job for me to do on my own. However, once I got the part a couple weeks later and went to install it, I discovered that they had left the clasps undone on the engine air filter compartment, potentially allowing contaminants into the engine air intake. Luckily I discovered it relatively soon before any major travels, but this was a serious oversight which erodes my trust in this shop s procedures, as this mistake could have led to serious engine issues (and might yet still, if I m unlucky). I contacted the shop about it mid last week, and they said the owner would reach out to me, but I have yet to hear anything back.

I have used Smooth Automotive several times and they have always been friendly and efficient. However, the last visit left me disappointed. I understand that for most people cars are just appliances, but the job appeared rushed and careless. They did not clean the tire after the job, they did not clean up the old backing and glue from the old wheel weights and they did not place the new wheel weights discreetly (I know placement flexibility is limited). Now I am going to have to go to another place to re-do the wheel balancing. That is not to say Smooth is not a good shop, or YOU should not go there.Update: After I contacted them, Smooth did offer to rebalance the wheel. Credit for that.

A great team works here. They are always so nice and have done everything from checking if my tire had a leak to helping me install a battery to doing major work on my brakes. I appreciate you guys!

Staff are always honest and respectful. A bit pricy but you know you are getting top quality work. I ve been going to Smooth Automotive for over 6 years now and am really satisfied with the service.

Been going here for oil changes since I moved to the area - about 3 years, have also done brakes here and other servicing. Once my car was making a weird noise and they took me the same day and fixed the issue for cheaper than I thought. I find their pricing reasonable and customer service is great, and they don t try to sell you extra stuff you don t need right away. The guy that works at the counter is wonderful to interact with.

I visited in morning, they took my broken tire with the rim and promised me they'll get the matching tire the same day afternoon. I dropped in again in the afternoon, they installed the new tire in 20 minutes. They also installed spare tire in the trunk, even put the wrench and jack in the right place. 100% very SMOOTH service, plus they have very comfortable sofa chairs inside.

The staff is incredibly kind, caring, and helpful. I became a customer after an old roommate suggested it and I am so glad to have made the switch. I've been going to Smooth Automotive for 5 years now. They're awesome!!! Brandon and Frank are very honest and will never recommend unnecessary services just to make money (like many other mechanics will). I also always feel comfortable coming here, which is important as a young woman. I don't feel condescended to, which also happens frequently. Always friendly, always affordable and efficient. This is how a mechanic shop should be run. They set an example for others!!! Smooth Automotive is just down right amazing! They've always done great work at a reasonable price. Today, they went above and beyond their normally amazing standards.After feeling like the transmission in our car was slipping, they were able to squeeze us in (on the Friday before a holiday weekend) to take a quick peek and see if it was a quick fix. It wasn't, but they topped us off on fluid to keep it from getting worse and made an appointment to bring it back in for a proper repair.Thank you!

Best service I've ever seen at an auto shop, by far. Our trip was suddenly halted by a car-stopping issue. They were kind enough to take it in immediately despite being busy. They were very polite and respectful, had clear and punctual feedback on the issue, and had us back on the road in under a day with a fair-priced repair. Couldn't thank them enough!

Best shop around the Arlington/Medford area. Gentlemen working at the desk have fantastic knowledge and ability to articulate what's going on with your vehicle and how they can fix it. Clean inside both the reception area and the garage. This is my new go to for car related issues.

I had some unexpected issues with my car soon after moving to the area. I called Smooth Automotive and, even though they were busy, they asked me to stop by so they could take a look. After checking out my car (without an appointment!), they clearly laid out the options for work that could be done and then found me an appointment that week. They were exceptionally friendly and communicated clearly. I also felt that their pricing was very fair. I'm so glad to have them in the neighborhood and will be going back!Service: Brakes

My boyfriend and I have both had wonderful experiences anytime we need to go to Smooth Automotive. Inside of the shop is clean (with super comfy lounge chairs while you wait) and the staff is always super friendly, kind, and efficient. Customers for life! :)

Smooth automotive is one of the best auto repair garages around. Frank, the owner, is fair reasonably priced and will only suggest repairs that are needed. Honest and skilled with the best team of mechanics. This is a great shop!

charged me $55 to patch one tire.came here since it was nearby and all the good reviews, so i m disappointed to give a 1 star since they were nice and accommodating to me. just letting the other ladies know in case they come, be careful to not get overcharged!!!

I was having some Tire issues and was in a pinch timing wise. Showed up last minute and they couldn t have been more professional and friendly, and had me in and out of there in 30 minutes. Great work and service! Highly recommend!

Smooth Automotive is the best mechanic shop I've ever been to. They are fair and honest, and they actively find ways to provide service even when it means seeking parts from other shops. I moved further away from Smooth than I used to be, closer to other mechanics, but I still bring my car in to this shop when I need new tires or an alignment. They really are the best!

These guys are Smooth for real! My battery died on crazy cold Saturday. I went to Autozone to buy a new one. Due to cold weather, they did not want to provide service of exchanging the battery, so I had to do it myself. I managed to break one of the screws on the battery holder, and half of it stayed in the hole. I did not want to mess with it anymore, and I tried to ask for help in a couple of shops around. Nobody had time, even though it would take a couple of minutes. These guys, even though very busy, took my car in right away and fixed it in few minutes. Price was minimal. Thank you!

I used this shop because of the reviews here and on TireRack. They were wonderful! They fit me into their schedule for my convenience, took me quickly, worked efficiently, did a great job, and charged me less that I was quoted. Couldn't have had a better experience.Service: TiresService: Tires

Brendon is always great. I wish I could have met Frank the owner but never needed it.My BMW X3 needed a front brake pad changed and they did it fast and the price was extremely great.2 other places including a dealer quoted me something which was extremely high but they charged me perfectly as I knew what it should be.Noteworthy: they always take up the job immediately if it s a hazard for you like my headlight was out and I had to travel and although there were a few cars and nearing closing time, they fixed it right away.Although they moved to this location from the earlier 2 mins walk location, they found a long term loyal longterm customer.

Everyone here is very friendly! Their estimates and prices are fair and they're very accommodating. They managed to check out my car last minute despite being busy and clearly explained what the issue was and how to fix it. Overall, an honest and affordable company!Edit: this continues to be my go-to mechanic. They're very upfront about costs and work, as well as what's necessary now vs can be done later. I really appreciate how honest and straightforward they are!

Smooth Automotive is very thorough, professional, and super friendly to everyone. My car is older (2003) and they take the time to get parts and set it up to keep it going for me. They have a comfortable waiting area, with magazines, and free coffee and tea while you wait. They're so good that you will have to schedule at least a couple weeks out, usually, but they have squeezed emergency repairs in for me before. I went here because a friend recommended I try them for repairs on my Toyota. The shop is clean, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I ve been here twice and the service is quick and the prices are reasonable. Give them a try!

I go here to get my winter tires on/off. I will also go here for an alignment or other small scale work. I've always been treated well, but the second time I got my tires changed they drove it out of the lot with the exhaust valves open and slammed the gas. I also witnessed them do this to a Jaguar F-type. It's very inappropriate to do this with customers cars. I ask them not to drive my car after the tire change anymore.

I absolutely recommend Smooth Automotive to anyone who needs any work or maintenance done on their car. Frank, Brandon, and all the guys there are great. I first discovered them in 2015 when I needed a flat tire repaired, and then decided to see if they could diagnose a couple of issues my car was having that my prior shop had never been able to solve. The guys at Smooth solved both of them! I am so happy to have found an honest, fair, dependable, and friendly shop for all my auto repair and maintenance needs since then. The heat in my car wasn't working correctly. I had brought it to a different repair shop and had to constantly call to check on the repair. When they didn't fix it and stopped returning my calls, I tried Smooth Automotive. They are wonderful. It was very easy to make an appointment, they got to work on the car right away, and they always kept me updated on the repair progress. This team does solid work at a fair price. I ve been here over several years of Subaru Outback ownership including winter tire changeovers and have always had timely and quality wheels and tire service.New location is even easier to get to, and is top notch!
