These guys are AWESOME. Our bus broke down (we re not from here) and they were able to take us that day and were super friendly and helpful. They were really really honest and fair, even helped recommend other shops when they couldn t fit our big repair into their schedule. We cannot thank them enough, I wish we lived closer so we could use them as our regular mechanic. Highly recommend!!!!!!Service: Engine repair

No matter what the issue with any car, Phil and John always find the right repair the first time. Always on time and usually under budget. If there is an issue that needs more time we get a phone call with an easy to understand, clear explanation and estimate of cost involved. We worked with them in Concord at the Chrysler shop and we followed them to Central St. Acton. No one comes close to their ability and honesty.

Not sure where the negative reviews come from, really. Being there for a couple of years. Recently had my 6 fuel injectors of my BMW replaced there. They had no problems replacing injectors that I purchased from ebay, which saved me lots of $$$. They have no problem installing tires from tirerack either. Very cool, honest and no-nonsense guys. For problems as small as squeaking power steering or fill up steering fluid, they charge nothing that I feel compelled to give gratitude. They know their stuff and as their business name suggests: they take good care of imports too. The rate they charge is very fair and they don't charge you replacing anything that is not needed. Stop wasting your $$$ taking your import cars more than 3-5 years old to "stealer" and instead supporting our local honest business here.

My 17' VW stranded me on the highway. Brought it here and it turned out to be a broken valve spring which I was super surprised to here. Just my luck :( While they had the engine torn down they replaced the timing chain, tensioner, a fuel injector and a few other stuff. The bill was a lot, however the receipt goes through everything they replaced with part numbers and they are all reasonably priced. Repairs also have a 1 year warranty, so I think this place is legit! The car runs fantastic now, maybe even better than before it broke.Service: Engine repair

I took my car to the dealer for the suggested 60,000 mile service. The dealer's price for the service was outrageously expensive. At the suggestion of a friend I took my car to Import Domestic. The guys at Import Domestic significantly beat the dealer's price and even provided a free shuttle service so I could get to my work on time. These guys took the time to explain exactly what they did in terms that I could understand as I know nothing about cars. Very honest guys that provide service at a great price. I was told that the garage was under new ownership and these guys went out of their way to ensure I was happy with the service as well as their pricing. I would highly recommend them as this is now my garage of choice. Thanks Phil and John!!!

Brought my car to these guys to replace the front brake pads and rotors. They left the top bolt out of one of the calipers. This is extremely dangerous and left the pad flapping around scratching my rim. I wouldn't trust them to work on my car again.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

These guys are my go-to. They are very competitively priced and their experience and honesty can't be beat. Of course, sometimes a mechanical job doesn't go perfectly on a car -- it's the nature of the machine -- but that hasn't happened to me yet, and Id trust them, their advice, and their work over most dealers and chains. Plus, there's a good vibe at the shop.

This repair shop is for people who know nothing about cars and for those who know all about cars. There are two honest hardworking guys who really impress me each and every time we have a problem that we cannot fix. And believe me, I can fix a lot of things on a car! They are not cheap, but they are honest, and very little escapes them when it comes to fixing some of the knotty problems that come up in today's complex computer controlled vehicles. If someone gave them a bad review, it might be because cars today are complex, and even the best repairmen need a second day to really get down to what the issue might be with a particular repair. In many peoples busy lives, this would be unacceptable, but it happens even at really big and impersonal shops as well. Phil has been doing repairs for me for many years. Nice guy.

Honest and know what they are doing. Fixed a problem with my SUV that dealer had been unable to diagnose. Prices always reasonable.

If you are looking for a garage that will give you straight talk about what your car really needs and will fix what is needed at a fair price, definitely give these guys a try.

Ask for Phil Muirhead. He's been my mechanic for years. Honest, reasonable, reliable. The guy's a rare gem in the seedy world of auto mechanics.
