I reached out to XLR8 and asked them about few issues with my truck told them the things that had happened with trying to get my truck fixed from other companies. Russell and his team went above and beyond they had my vehicle towed for me since I have a busy work schedule, they diagnosed everything on my truck from front to back they prioritized them and provided me with a tone of information and knowledge. My truck came back cleaner than it was when I put it in the shop. These guys communicated everything Tommy called me with updates and was polite and respectful and understanding. Everything was prompt on point i clearly understood everything that I was getting done with my truck. I received updates as parts came in and as my truck work was done. This company went above and beyond and did an absolute amazing job With my vehicle I now have a 2005 5.9 Cummins that drives like a dream.I couldn t thank you guys enough for the amazing work, and the effort that you guys went to to pick my vehicle upand providing your services at such an outstanding and incredibly decent price. Thank you.

These guys are awesome. They quickly picked up my car from another shop that was giving me the run around. They got my car in and did their best to repair damages that were beyond their control. They ve been incredibly patient and had fantastic communication keeping me updated along the way. 10/10 will recommend them to friends and family.

Update: After making this review got a call from Russell the new owner of xlr8. He asked about the review and I explained. He also said he bought the place after I had my work done which I did not know ownership changed hands after the fact. My complaint was with the old owner and mechanics. If I would have known the ownership changed hands I would have stated when I had work done. I apologize to Russel and his crew. He seems like a guy who really cares about his business and I believe I would give his business a second chance knowing the ownership is changed.Brought my 2012 ford 6.7 in and had an issue with a high pitch noise in tow haul going down the mountain. The mechanic said I needed a new turbo. They replaced the turbo and still had the noise. Ended up being the up pipes had a crack on one of them. They didn t charge me for the repair on the up pipes. But I was out almost $3800 for a turbo that didn t need.

Russell, Tom and the rest of the team are excellent to work with. Recently brought in H1 that was purchased from out of state the the team at XLR87 went through the entire truck and made it new again. Driving it there and driving it after the repairs is a night and day difference!!! Thank you!!!Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, ExhaustServices: Transmission, Electrical repair, Exhaust

I have been a customer of XLR8 since I purchased my 21 Cummins new. They have been excellent. All services are handled quickly and efficiently. They are always flexible and easy to work with. Routine maintenance is always easy and fairly priced. They even helped in a disastrous scenario where road debris punctured my fuel tank. Again on top of every possible thing with insurance and all. Couldn t ask for a better shop. Plus they are rather local to me as well.

They did a great job fixing a few items on my 2006 one ton diesel Silverado. Very pleasant to work with and I'll be using them again in the future!

After our truck sat at another mechanic s for over 7 months I called XLR8 and Russel was more than willing to help us out. Had to tow the truck in pieces and boxes of parts to him but in the same day they took inventory of everything we had, made lists of the missing parts and quoted me for what we needed done. They went above and beyond to save us from disaster and get our truck back up and running within a couple weeks. Can t thank him and the team at XLR8 enough for taking care of me! They definitely gained a lifetime customer here!

This place is amazing. As a Maryland State Trooper I can vouch these guys know their stuff when it comes to all types of aspects of vehicles. I ve had nothing but great experiences from the gentlemen and lady that work at XLR8. They lifted a truck of mine and also performed maintenance on another truck of mine. Their pricing is fair and competitive. I wouldn t look anywhere else when it comes to your truck (gas, diesel) needs. An employee (Tom) was polite and kind. Thanks again guys for your great business.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection

My 2008 Ford F350 6.4 Liter Powerstroke was exhibiting signs of oil cooler failure. XLR8 was able to get me in quickly, repaired quickly, and back on my way, as such, my truck was down for only a few work days (this is a repair that requires removal of the truck cab). Their prices were reasonable and the customer communications were superb.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I just bought my truck used of marketplace and not to my surprise there was a lot of work to be done. I Googled what diesel shops were near by. It was idling weird but im no mechanic. I got greeted right away and was reassured that it would be taken care of. After what seemed a very brief wait, I got back in my truck and was good to go. HIGHLY recommend this shop. Would will not be disappointed.

My 08 F250 was having all kinds of issues. It had been to 2 shops, one was telling me they d fix it for a crazy amount, the other couldn t guarantee a price at all, they said somewhere between 10-22k$.. I knew my best option was a new motor. I called XLR8 and he said get it to me. I had it towed there, he gave me an answer and a price in a couple days, he even kept my truck there free of charge while i came up with deposit for the new motor. My new motor came in and I have the truck back. It s riding great. All around great experience, communication was great, they were patient, understanding and got my truck back running again. And it even came in a little under the original quote because they saved some parts from my old motor. Thanks again.

Overall a great experience. I bought one of the few non-fords these guys deal in and Tim (my sales guy) was still very knowledgeable about the truck. It was a pleasant experience, and they worked with me remotely since I live about 50+ miles away. There was an issue with one of the sensors on the truck about 10 minutes after I drove it from their lot. I contacted Tim and he said I could bring it back and they'd get it fixed. I didn't feel like driving back and asked if he could just send me a new sensor and I'd replace it myself. He was happy to do it, and I had the new sensor in hand a couple days later. Trucks been great ever since. Tim was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. Thanks guys.

A little more than a month ago I purchased a 2004 Ford F250 with the full bulletproof kit...best experience I've had with a 6.0...haven't had any of the "6.0 syndrome" symptoms. Scott, my sales person was not pushy with his sales pitch. He let me take the truck out myself so I could examine it without any distractions. He was very straightforward with things on the truck that were less than ideal, yet he had them fixed free of charge before I even purchased the truck (two injectors had gone bad). They take great care of you after the purchase as well. I would recommend.

We have had several big issues with our f250 and xlr8 made the truck safe and sound again! Huge front end problem with death wobble etc at they identified and fixed the problems. Like driving a new truck. They are very responsive and communicate what s going on. Also charge less than dealer quoted. Not expected but very appreciated

Well i had some issues with the truck, they fixed them at no cost to me. After purchasing a truck less than a month ago. The truck dose run great I've had no issues with it in that sense. At this point it's only small things that of course get over looked at first glance then become noticed over days with a vehicle. For example my 07 6.0 I purchased has no wait to start/glowplug light, when I test drove it the water in fuel comes on, was told it was because it's sat awhile and it'll go away. No Tim that means the water needs drained (it dose have purpose). One bolt is all it takes to fix the light and make the truck more presentable. They also "fixed" a mirror, with glue... whatever no big deal I'll do it myself. Overall, you can't beat there prices, either pay $20k somewhere else, or pay 14k-18k for most 6.0's even thought there's small details that need fixed, I'm fairly satisfied with what they have done, they did fix what broke, and tried to address smaller issues with little to no success. Buy a truck from them, save $2,000 and fix every imperfection and it'll be a nice tuck.

I Bought a 04 6.0 from XLR8 a while back and I'm more than pleased with my purchase. Love the truck. No "6.0 syndrome". It's been my daily commuter since I bought and have not had a single problem. People left a bad review about it before I bought it due to not wanting to pay the increased price after the bulletproofing. They missed out on a great truck. Nothing but good things to say.

I purchesed a 07 Bulletproof King Ranch on Saturday excellent customer service.I live 2 hrs away Russel went over a few vehicles with me on the phone and had them ready when i got there. On Wednesday morning when i got to work which is closer to the dealership i noticed there was a antifreeze drip under the truck i called Russell he had me bring it right in, the service side took it right away found the problem to be the radiator which they promptly replaced at no cost. These guys have been extremely helpful through the ehole process start to finish. This has been the best car buying experience I can remember ever having, and i have bought alot of cars over the years.

I have been purchasing parts from xlr8 for awhile now, every time I need something or have a question they always know how to help. Ever since Russell has joined the team the customer service has exceeded my expectations. I ve known Russell for a very long time and he has always been a very trusting guy and someone you could always depend on. I highly recommend xlr8 for any of your sales or service needs, GO CHECK THEM OUT!

Tom is a very trustworthy and down-to-earth guy.We saw a truck advertised on Facebook and made a call to see it. Tom has great communication and has further helped us, even after purchasing the truck. We highly recommend XLR8 diesel trucks not only for their trucks, but also their customer service!

These guys are pure losers. Purchased a 2006 F250 from them earlier this year as the building block for a small business. We agreed to have their shop bulletproof the motor before the sale, which they claim to have done. Got down to their shop (3 hour drive) to find chrome peeling off the grille, a dent in the rear bumper, a cracked driver door handle and gum stuck to the carpet and a very loose steering box. All problems that had never been mentioned. Had to have them adjust the steering box 3 times before we left so that we could keep the truck on the road. Get the truck home, it stalls in the middle of the road the next day. Turns out the fuel gauge is off, but they left that detail out too.Truck developed a misfire after putting less than 2000 miles on it since purchase. Took it to a local diesel mechanic and got word that the number 1 cylinder had been washed out due to a bad injector, truck needs a new motor to the tune of $10k. Contacted XLR8 twice via text message and twice via email. No reply was seen until a complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau, at which time they took the opportunity to provide every reason why the problem was not their fault. These guys take pride in robbing people of their hard earned money. Even had one employee flat out tell me another salesman is a pure scumbag who is only concerned with his sales numbers. It blows my mind that a business that shows such complete disregard for its customers is able to operate, let alone operate successfully. I suggest any and all potential customers look elsewhere when shopping for a truck. We need people like this out of the industry, out of business and out of our society asap.

Nothing but good things to say here! I have dealt with XLR8 on more than 1 occasion for different needs. Most recently, my 05 needed tires. After pricing a few other local "recommended" tire shops who advertise low prices or sales I had them price me an identical set of tires I looked at from a competing "tire" shop. The only reason I even checked another place was because I was next door for something else and said what the hell...while Im here. Well I was quoted $1250. I thought that was a bit high so I gave XLR8 a call with the exact size/model etc. I didn't give them the price I was just quoted so there was no chance to "beat the competitor" by a few bucks. XLR8 crushed their price .... $878!! I asked the other place why they were so high do I get gold valve stems?? They told me I was lying and there was no way anyone in the area could sell those tires for that price and immediately turned to speak to next customer beside me...rude!! XLR8 had my tires in less than a day and the shop guys were great! A week later I had one tire that seemed to not hold air. They quickly looked at it, found nothing wrong but ordered me a replacement just to be safe. Any other dealer would have said I did it somehow since a week had passed.. The new tire came in the next day and so did I without an appointment and was out the door in 20min. I read other comments about the staff or non disclosure of defects etc and I just don't see how that's possible. The receptionist greets everyone with a smile and is always pleasant, the owner always makes it a point to make sure buyers are aware of all pertinent issues if any, and takes the time to speak to you to be sure your questions are answered which is haed to get anywhere else! Perhaps others should realize they're not buying a new vehicle, if they're on a budget their getting what's within budget, and they are trucks..not Cadillac's. People use trucks for work or to haul. They may have a scratch or 2 or if it has over 150-180k miles, and you don't expect at least some sort of minor repair over a few months or a year then I don't think the dealer is the issue. Great shop! Great staff!

Just purchased a 06 F-250 today from XLR8 Diesel. Love the truck but even more so I loved the experience I received throughout the entire transaction. This experience didn't even feel like I was dealing with a dealer. Scott was my salesman and I couldn't be happier with the service that he and the team at XLR8 showed. I strongly suggest looking for your next diesel truck at XLR8, I know any future needs I have I will definitely be contacting them.

Dropped off my truck to get the tail pipe repaired/ replaced. I have dual exhaust 4 in to 5 in. It was leaking and loose where the 2 pieces came together. I wanted them to cut the joint out so it would not leak anymore and the only thing they did was tack weld 1 side (a 2 year old cold have done a better weld). Needless to say it still leaks. Would not recommend them at all.

Bought an 08 6.4 from these guys a few years ago. Truck was advertised as mechanically sound which it was. Kept it maybe three years and put 45K +/- miles on it.To anyone who is actually reading these reviews know this about XLR8.1) They have a good local reputation for their mechanical work.2) Most of the trucks they have are program trucks that used to be fleet vehicles.3) Many of their trucks are rough. That is why you are paying so little for them.4) With any used vehicle the salesman/dealership does not know the entire history on them, and you are in fact "rolling the dice."
