I have never had a problem with this place in the past, had my oil change & rotate tire on 1/4 and it only took them 30 minutes. A few days after this, my car stalled and showed a low pressure oil. check engine came on. Called this location, old washington road. Did not appreciate how they treated me. Told them of the issue, they asked if I checked the oil, me... yes but you all just changed it a couple of days ago. Was not sure what to expect. they put me on hold for a long time, I eventually hung up & went to the location on St. patricks drive.. When I arrived there, told them of my situation.. they kept insisting that I need to do a diagostic on it. Again me " your company changed my oil, why do I need to pay for anything" finally a male worker took the car and found out that there was a hose removed or fell off. It was replaced. I was relieved. A few days after this, I am sitting in my running car and again, this time my has a sign of low oil pressure. I called go to the one on Old Washington road, they check and state that the oil is fine but recommended me to do a diagnostic. I said no, there is no reason for me to pay for a diagnostic when i have never had this problem in this past with them changing my oil but felt, when I presented these issues, first thing they say, do a diagnostic so they can take my money for an issue they caused. Recently took it to Mienike and was informed that the oil pressure is fine, had enough oil and the reason why I kept getting these codes, first was because whoever did change my oil, knocked off some hose which caused my car to stall. second, kept showing code of low oil pressure is because the person that fixed the hose issue did not clear the code. ( can't complain much about this since it was him that found the cause of my car to stall,,,I have never felt this way about this place until now.... they were too quickly want to charge me to do a diagnostic but will not take ownership of what they did. the store on old Washington road,,, never again will I go there again....

Scheduled appointment for inspection they called morning of raining couldn t do inspection? Reschedule one week out they called as I m in route to cancel appointment. Ended up going next-door.Wiygul and got inspection 1st try first try

Do not go here!!!! They are dishonest and unprofessional. I came here to change my oil for my new car and they broke the oil pan, and refused to take responsibility for it. I had to get my car towed from their premises and purchase a new oil pan out of pocket. They displayed very poor customer service, have dishonest business practices and I would not advise anyone to go here.

I had a great experience with southern tire and have been back a few times. Reasonable prices and great customer service. The latest trip was actually for my riding lawnmower tire. I tried buying at other stores and online but I couldn t find the right size and rim. They did have to order the tire but I dropped the tire and rim off on Tuesday afternoon and had it back Wednesday afternoon.

Called, and they guy was nice and straight to the point. Took our car in the same day and had 4 new tires put on. We didn't break the bank, very quick service. Definitely recommend!!!

7 years later and still excellent, quality service!Yesssssssss, this is what I mean when I say awesome customer service.My friend needed new tires and after calling around and searching online, he found Southern Tire and Auto Center. The lady he spoke with on the phone before he arrived was sooo helpful and uber friendly. The desired tires were in stock so we headed their way.Once we arrived we were greeted and helped immediately. We asked if we could see the tire (Sumitomo High Performance, HRT All-Season) and we were told we definitely could. Once we made our way to the warehouse and inspected the tires we decided to go ahead with the purchase, as we were pleased that they would suffice. My friend has rims on his car, so he said the low profile was great.With the government discount (15%), a full set was $428.05....not bad at all! Definitely worth the money, plus they are great, high quality tires. You won't be disappointed at this venue.Thanks for the awesome customer service and quality products!!! Duly noted for any of my future needs!!

The customer service is awesome. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. This is the only tire place in the DMV area I will use. I have purchased tires for cars, pickup trucks, medium duty trucks and lawn mowers. If the tires weren't in stock the turn around was short. They also have decent coffee.

Was not planning on having a tire repaired today. When I arrived the friendly staff greeted me with,"Are you Mrs Keene? Your husband said you were on your way," - their personable first contact brought my anxiety level down a thousand percent. Quick fix and I was on the road after leaving my contribution to the road hazard jar. Thank you for hiring rock stars who take the extra time to care about your customers.

I have used them once before and I was pleased with their service at first. Following that, I recently made an appointment on my day off to receive routine maintenance on my vehicle at very specific time due to my busy schedule and life. They were not prepared to hold my reservation or keep their word for my appointment time. After 45 minutes I asked approximately when my vehicle would be serviced and they said it would be a few more minutes and that the service would take over half an hour which didn t work with my tightly scheduled day. The inconvenience that this poses to my next week is incredibly irritating and currently far overshadows my previous good experience that I have had on my only other time here. One of the biggest reasons for customer dissatisfaction is unrealized expectations. My expectations of them keeping my appointment was definitely not realized in this instance. Very frustrating. If you re calling to make an appointment and you value your own time, insist that they have your appointment time ready and avoid this headache I currently have.Services: Tires, Oil change

The staff is professional & knowledgeable on there trade. They always gave me options for what I requested & found me the the best price. I have been coming to Southern Tire for 20+ years for everything from Rototiller tires, tractor tires & truck tires. I have also used them throughout the years for various other repairs without any complaint I can recall.I go past (6) tire places to go to Southern Tire.It is rare to find service & selection as well a commitment to the customer.I hope to continue going to Southern Tire for another 20+ years.Service: Tires

After having such a positive experience on our first visit, we took both cars in to replace all tires and to do some work recommended by a dealer. They recommended an alternative which made even more sense and did all the work while we waited. Both cars are riding much more smoothly! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. A great experience. We will definitely be back!

Great spot to new tires and tire service! Great prices and friendly staff! Customer Service is excellent. Stopped by about 20 minutes before closing to fix my tire and they told me to come right in! I was put of there within that 20 minutes and I got an early Christmas present! No charge! This tire had been driving me crazy for weeks! I was so thankful that I left my cellphone there! Went back the next morning before opening and one of the nice workers brought it right out to me! They have a customer for life!

Took my truck for an oil change and a burning smell. They charged $59 for investigating the smell but couldn't diagnose it. They also claim they didn't smell it which is literally impossible as it was so strong I smelled it hours later. Took it to another mechanic who immediately smelled and accurately diagnosed it. Avoid these jokers.

I like this place more every time. They are unusually honest. I have a very old car. They seem to always be able to find parts. I have used the location in Lexington Park and now the one in Waldorf. They are wonderful at both locations. They have taken care of several of my vehicles. I know that with their great care my car will probably reach 300,000 miles.

I went in for a Maryland car inspection and all the staff were very professional and pleasant. Handled my car with care and did so in a very timely manner. I was in and out within an hour as they promised. Experienced no issues.

Staff is nice but currently trying to figure out what can be done if having to pay more than told as car went in on Tuesday for one thing and still not starting and now told something else wrong which total have went from 352 to over 800.00. Feel as far has been there over time expected and discount or something should be provided with extended time and lack of diagnosis of why wouldn t start Vs engine light.

This place is clean and employees are friendly, but the 5 star is for the time. They are fast and very professional... and believe it or not, they are honest. That's saying a lot for mechanics. Well done!
