I highly recommend Key Mechanics. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Kris and it was so relieving to know that someone can actually fix my Jeep. A representative notified me within the hour asking what I needed. A mechanic was able to come out to my home within two hours for a diagnostic. Mr. Kris came back the today to work on my car with brand new parts and fixed the problem on the spot. He explained everything to me and what I needed. The price is were reasonable and his work exceeded my expectations. To have a mechanic that is reasonably priced and able to come to my home for repair with excellent customer service is something you cannot beat. Just give them a call and get your service done. You are in good hands.

I really had a good experience with Key Mechanics. The mechanic was on time, assessed the situation with my vehicle quickly and efficiently. I will definitely use Key Mechanics again, and I will pass their company s information to other family members and friends. They are very professional and I m so glad I was able to find and use them. We contacted Key Mechanics Mobile Auto Repair on Saturday, Feb 3rd, 2024, via telephone to diagnose our vehicle. Although no one answered, we did receive a callback within the hour, around the 10am timeframe.The mechanic we spoke with was Duane/Dewayne (sp) and he informed that he had a family situation, but that he'd be at our residence between 1:00 - 1:30pm that afternoon. **He asked us to text the address, which we did.**Around 2:30pm the mechanic still hadn't shown up or updated us on his status. We reached out to him via text and asked if he was still coming, he responded, "Yea, just running late."We waited. And waited. Finally around 5:30pm I contacted the business via the messaging service on Google. I received a response from the owner/management (?), I presume, within the hour. After explaining the situation, this individual was very apologetic and expressed that they didn't conduct business in this unprofessional manner. He said he would reach out to the mechanic to see what happened.A few minutes later the individual responds and informs that his mechanic tried to call us and that he never received our **address.** Lies--I immediately replied with the screenshot of the text message we sent to the mechanic from earlier that morning, with our address, and subsequent messages we also sent that afternoon. And we also only received one initial callback that morning; absolutely zero other calls thereafter.The individual then responded a couple of minutes later, "Sorry just spoke to him his car is messed up he is trying to fix it as we speak that s why he pushed time back ." (I also asked myself, how are you a mechanic with a "messed up" vehicle. Jeez)I was absolutely livid at this point in the conversation. No amount of apologies equates to a blatant disregard of simple, upfront, HONEST communication to customers.What we witnessed on that day was a total indifference of our time, lack of communication and outright dishonesty, via the mechanic and quite frankly the business overall. The employees you hire and retain are a direct reflection of your business and reputation, I don't care how "good" they may be.The last message the individual sent was more apologies and a suggestion that a mechanic could come out the next morning. But I beg the question, after this ordeal, would you feel comfortable with this business safely working on your vehicle...I never responded.I do not recommend this company.

I entrusted my vehicle to them for an engine replacement . After having to reject it 3 times for improper install my vehicle was totaled After hours by the mechanic . I was told they would reimburse me for the engine. Never did. I sued and won and still have not been paid. Now I have to explore other avenues to get my money. Run like hell and get a reputable mechanic. Do your research!!!!

Excellent service all across the board! I had a water pump replaced with an oil change. They came through in the clutch. Service was fast and efficient. Derrick did an outstanding job and I was back on the road the same day. Thank you Key and Derrick! I'd recommend this company all day everyday!!

5 star experience, they communicated well with me on regards to my service. The tech Derrick answered all my questions and fix my car from overheating and more!This is my second time using there services and I will definitely be using again. Also, very affordable! I m glad I called this service for help. Car wouldn t start. My car was left at dealership for more than 3 months for a headlight replacement. The battery drained. Their service was so horrible and expensive I refused to go back there. Called this company. They immediately responded, fixed my car in my driveway (thus saving me towing fees) and followed up to confirm everything was fine. They sent Derrick the mechanic who fixed it. Derrick was very professional. Saved me a tremendous amount of time and money. Going to the dealership is not always the best option. As a female, I am always appreciative of mechanics who are honest, effective and affordable. Save their number in your phone bc you never know when you need a mobile mechanic who will show up quickly and get your vehicle repaired.Service: Battery

My GF got stranded in MD, I was in PA. Once she managed to get the car to her house, I found Key Mechanics online, contacted them and they replied promptly. Their mechanic showed up the very next morning for a $60 diagnostics, but repair was manageable, so he was able locate the materials and able to fix the car fast. The only thing that left my GF puzzled, was the amount for the repair that changed a couple of times, but she paid the requested sum. Overall is satisfactory experience, a little more effort and clarity in communications would be nice.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I called this mechanic I believe his name is Key and told him I needed a thermostat replaced and within an hour he came to my house did the work in less than 30 minutes and sent me videos and texts communicating his whereabouts and how it was coming along with the work. I truly recommend this mechanic and he did the work without me being home to watch over him. Great work!!!

Professional, prompt, polite. I called the technician, Dewayne,about doing an oil change. He was able to provide an ETA, and when he was running behind he called to let me know that he was going to be late it was only 15 minutes so I was not concerned. Once he arrived he quickly determined the materials he needed and completed the work in a very professional manner. I will be using these Services again.

This is the first and last time I will use this place.. I thought my truck had gotten fixed only to find out a month down the road that both of my valve covers were leaking. Tried calling the mechanic who did the work. Can't get in touch with him, call the owner. Left him a few messages now I can't get in touch with him. Supposedly I had a 90 day warranty but the warranty ain't good if you can't get them to call you back. So now I'm left with having to find another mechanic to fix their mistakes.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Transparent, Professional, and Efficient are the three words that best describes Key Mechanics. Phenomenal job and great customer service all around! Lashawn Smith turned a nightmare into a walk in the park. About two weeks ago I was changing the oil on my Fianc�s 03 Honda Accord and the oil filter would not come off. So I took a screw driver and pierced it through the other side trying to get a better grip (Bonehead move). So I ended up ripping the entire base off of the filter leaving the other half still attached.I tried everything in the book to get it off for the last two weeks and nothing worked. So I called Key Mechanics and told them my situation. They sympathized with me and understood that I was in a stressful situation. So before the day was over Lashawn came by and worked wonders and took the piece off in 10 minutes! Lashawn is the best of the best with 20 years plus experience! I asked him a series of questions and the one that displayed his character the most was... If money was not a factor would you still be working as a mechanics? He answered of course this is what I love to do! Future clients you are not getting your typical copy and paste mechanics that just gets the job done to collect a paycheck . You are getting Passionate Mechanics that love their craft! What more can you ask for?! Job well done Key Mechanics I will be referring your business to everyone I know!

My experiences with Key Mechanics have all been pleasant and positive. I've had my battery diagnosed and replaced, my fuel lines repaired and most recently, a fuel pump replaced. Just the idea of the "mobile mechanic" is very convenient and such a great service to offer. The owner, Mr. Keone, delivers such great customer service, insight and advice which is not not common to run into all three in this field. His mechanics are very diligent, as well. I am definitely reaching out to them again for my vehicle needs.

Used Key Mechanics mobile service for possible starter issues. Once mechanic arrived (Jo) he assessed issue and determined it was battery and not starter. Got new battery and Jo installed in my driveway within minutes. Jo was friendly, professional & timely! I would use Key Mechanic without hesitation and the fact that they can come to you is even better!Service: Battery

I was skeptical at first because I had never used mobile car service before, but then because of COVID and needing quick brake service I selected Key Mechanics in Waldorf based on their web reviews. Key Mechanics was convenient, exceptionally quick, better price compared to traditional shops, with superb customer service! The mechanic pulled up, told me I needed to do nothing, not even come outside. He was super friendly and professional, quickly fixed and test drove my car, and then was gone. I didn t have to do a thing to assist him in servicing my car. I called the office after the brakes were done to pay for the service, which the rep was most accommodating. The service rep suggested sending me an invoice via text or email for security purposes, rather than taking my credit card information over the phone. And the cost of the brake repair was way cheaper than going into a traditional shop. Customer service was superb. I m using Key Mechanics for ALL of my mobile car repairs! Called key mechanics looking for a mechanic after my mechanic bailed on me. As soon as I called them key answered promptly and I told him what I needed done and he sent jo out within 30 mins. Jo was very professional and knowledgeable!! Got the job done super fast and correctly! Even told me what the previous mechanic did wrong and what else I needed. I really appreciate his honesty. Andrew is a very good mechanic he is attentive and knowledgeable and will walk you they the step process. I needed a alternator and a new battery. Andrew took upon him self to go to auto store try to charge up old battery stros waiting and then saw it was no good I paid by phone and he brought it back. I had a great experience using Key Mechanics. I assumed that I needed rear brake pads based off a noise I was hearing. They came to my home, looked at the rear ..and the pads were fine. They volunteered to look at the front, and found that my front rotors were bad (and the wrong size). My mechanic made a phone call, and a my new set of rotors were delivered, and were installed on the spot. If you are looking for a good, honest mechanic.....Key Mechanics is it!!!UPDATE: Scheduled an appointment to get some more work done, and the mechanic told me that he would be there the next day at 9:30a. The appointment time came and went, and I didn't hear anything from the mechanic. I called him several times, and he never answered. Although I had a great initial experience with this business, I will not be using their services ever again. Please learn to communicate with your customers!!!Service: Brakes

I was recommended to this shop and was skeptical because I had a lot of work to be done and never had a vehicle requiring that much work. The mechanic did an awesome job. They communicated honestly very well from start to finish. Very flexible! I received the service that I was promised plus more because they fixed and informed me of some other issues they noted. Pricing is very reasonable. Called another company before calling Key Mechanics and they scheduled me for the next day. Mind you this is 9pm on a Tuesday and I needed someone there ASAP. Someone contacted me via text asking me what service do I need. I explained to them the situation and the vehicle and for a fee they would send someone out when he's done with his routes (Emergency Services) . I agreed and a mechanic by the name of Derrick called me explaining that he has one job in front of me and he'll call when he's done. He did he arrived at my residence at 12:15am and started working immediately. 4+ hours later he was done. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and all around a great guy. I would definitely recommend this company if you are in need of a Mobile Mechanic! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the company that I called before calling Key Mechanics. They did call me back Wednesday, but had to push me back another day . That's cool, but I don't need your service .Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair

They showed up when they said they would, great customer service, and quality reasonably priced work. Key Mechanics was the perfect company to call when my battery died during the lockdown. They installed my new battery and even took the time to check my brakes and fluids! I'm glad I found them and I'm sure I'll be using them again in the future!

Found my new go-to mechanics! I had my front & rear rotors and pads replaced in about 2 hours and I didn't have to leave home. They were professional and courteous from the first contact. Explaining what parts were needed, options for scope/costs and were flexible regarding installation. He was transparent with the pricing structure and provided additional guidance on what to expect now that the work is done. Not to mention, they were WAY cheaper than the dealership. I definitely recommend Key Mechanics, they have changed the way I look at auto repair.

I have been looking for a few days for a mobile auto mechanic to work on my 97 Dakota. Needed a fuel pump replacement and a belt replacement. The first two mobile mechanics I contacted responded on the initial request than went dark. I opened a chat with Key Mechanics at 10pm on a holiday and received a response in minutes. They fit me into their schedule a day later. The team that came on-site was professional, courteous did a good job, completed the repairs for a very good price. No up-sell, no hidden costs and a job well done. If you need a mechanic That is willing to come to you, check them out.

I had a radiator, rotors & brake pads, wheel bearing, and a new battery installed on my 2006 GMC Yukon Denali. Key and his partner (sorry I didn t catch his name) came to my home and got the work done in a timely manner for a very good price. They were both down to earth and answered any questions I had. He is definitely my new mechanic. If you want an honest person that knows what he s doing call Key Mechanics you will not be disappointed!
