I ve taken my Toyota Rav4 to Hollenshades for the last couple of years, after being referred by a friend. Their prices are fare, their service is quick, and their staff is knowledgeable. Haven t had any major work done, only oil changes and tires - but if I ever needed more, I d go to them first!

Hollenshade's is everything you want a repair shop to be: efficient, communicative, friendly, trustworthy, and fair. I called them on a Friday afternoon hoping there was a chance they could make an urgent repair to my vehicle. They went above and beyond to complete the work the same day, communicating with me every step of the way. They weren't ever pushy and only recommended the repairs that I absolutely needed. Most importantly, their prices are fair and reasonable. They completed my work at less than half of the cost quoted by the dealership down the street. I'm grateful to have found a repair shop I can trust.

A reliable shop where you know you can trust their work and that they won't up charge unnecessary. That means you won't get the rock bottom price but you'll get what was promised. A worthwhile trustworthy shop.

Only place we take our vehicles. They are honest!!! They charge for prices. I never have to wait long. If they say they are going to call you, they do.

Staple in the community, this auto repair facility goes out of their way to make you feel in control of your automobile needs. I cant express enough graditude for the most recent visit where Tim went out of his way to make sure my problem was taken care of. Always friendly, and courteous...highly recommend.

I was visiting from out of town and my tire light came on - I called first thing in the morning - dropped off my car and it was ready before noon. Extremely helpful and courteous. Reasonable pricing too.Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best service. I was greeted by Eric and check in was great. He actually listened and that kind of customer service is rare today. They quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it in a timely manner. If you want honest, competent, pleasant auto repairs Hollenshade's is your go to. Thanks to Eric, John, Tim and Tom for guarding my laptop.

My dealership that I usually go to for my oil changes and tire rotations weren't able to get me in until almost a month later! I couldn't wait that long, and went to Hollenshade. They were able to see me same-day. The front desk was friendly and helpful. After the service, I was informed that my oil cap was not full on and was leaking oil due to poor and negligent service (from the dealership). I was absolutely surprised and they were able to attach it full and securely after the oil change and tire rotation at no additional cost. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the dealership and will only come to Hollenshade from now on. Great, honest, and professional work.

They are very honest and extremly trustworthy. Their mechanics know what they are doing and complete the work in a timely fashion. You can't go wrong by taking your car to Hollenshades. Additionally, the guys manning the desk are always friendly.

As I was leaving town for a trip my tire pressure light came on. I stopped at Hollenshades and they were extremely busy, many cars to be serviced. I spoke with Tom and he immediately had one of his mechanics check my tires even though they were so busy. All went well and I was back on the road quickly. They are the best with customer service, honesty and quality expert service. Hollenshades is where everyone should be taking their vehicle.

Hollenshade's provides the most honest car repair service I've ever seen. I took my car in for new tires, an oil change and to have my rear control arms replaced. Their team kept me informed during the entire process. When was service was completed, I asked about a few other parts that I was questioning due to the car's mileage. Hollenshade's was completely transparent and did not recommend unnecessary repairs. Each time I bring my car in, I leave satisfied and my car performs better than it did prior. Thank you!

I made an appointment for my Honda A13 service. I arrived at 7 and was out by 8:30. Everyone there is so friendly and efficient. The price was very reasonable.

I came here for the first time after reading multiple reviews and let me start off by saying the 5 star reviews are 100% accurate. Great service before even pulling into the lot! Mr. Tom, Mr. Dave and Mr. John were as professional as they come. Not many HONEST shops like this exist anymore. Everybody seemed to interact as a family which always makes that much better! Exhaust Manifold and Catalytic Converter repair/replacement on my 2014 Ford Flex was successful. I was kept in the loop while my vehicle was in their hands. No run around here, straight shooters. You guys have earned another customer for life as both of my vehicles dealership warranties have expired.THANK YOU for all that you do.-Michael

Brought car in for MD safety inspection, they did a great job. No trying to inflate what needed to be fixed like I think other places have done. I picked up the car and scheduled drop off a week later to get the needed repairs done. They had the parts on hand and were quick with the repairs. Great service highly recommend. The night drop off option is great stopped by after work hours the day before scheduled work and had full confidence with the pre-scheduled they would get to the car early and have it done the same day after open. Will definitely go here again for repairs.

i can see why this place is a neighborhood favorite and they have customers that have been going there for years pretty straight forward with what's needed and not needed and won't try to sell you something unless it's necessary. it's hard to find that kind of honesty these days

Honestly, one of the most honest and straightforward mechanic shops I have ever found. Great service, they care about their customers, work with them on any issues, and don't nickel and dime you. The price is the price, and at this location the price is right.

Tim and the team of mechanics at Hollenshade s are the best around. I trust them for everything from regular maintenance to large mechanical repairs. Their brake repair and steering/suspension specialist are top-notch. I always know the job will be competed in a timely manner and of the highest quality. They ve served Towson for 4 generations and over 80 years. Thanks for always being there guys!!

Hollenshade's completed a front end axel repair, and I couldn't be happier. Their team diagnosed and fixed the issue ahead of their original time estimate and kept me in the loop while repairs were taking place. This is only one example of Hollenshade's top-notch customer service, though. One can tell the Hollenshade's team works with the utmost integrity and takes pride in their work. Not to mention, I am now getting the best gas mileage since purchasing the car.

I most recently had my EVAP canister replaced due to failed emissions test. I have used Hollenshades many times from oil changes to other more expensive repairs. My car is 21 years old and still runs great. Hollenshade's is the best autoshop I've ever used. Their work is excellent, and their honesty and integrity are unmatched. All the staff members are courteous and friendly. They took the time to show me what was wrong with my fairly old car. They were completely straightforward about what was a real issue with the car, and what was fine. I am so grateful I found Hollenshades to help me with all of my car service needs. They are extremely knowledgeable, thorough, honest and efficient. My car is typically done in under a few hours for oil changes and easy repairs. Jason as the front desk always makes me feel comfortable and less intimidated with car-related decisions and questions. I couldn t recommend this place more! I'm a LONG TME customer of Hollenshades and LOVE them. They provide quality/professional service and prices that are fair. I wouldn't go to anyone else to have my cars serviced. In fact, my sons and grandsons use their services too. Hollenshade did nothing to my car, except inflate the tires which they did not charge for. There was many problems with my car that I understood but they didn't even bother doing an oil change which I asked for, they stated something like it would leak anyway, understandable, what was not understandable was they did not replace my right rear light, they gave no explanation to this whatsoever. They don't know how to deal with older cars I've had more success down south near beach areas where they know how to handle rust. They also said they would give me a contact for replacing my key, they also did not do this. Waste of time

This was my first time at Hollenshade's. I had an oil change and tire rotation. Check-in was easy and pleasant, as was check-out. The staff was friendly and courteous, and my car was ready earlier than anticipated. I will definitely take my car there again. Judging from the reviews on Nextdoor, Hollenshade's is very popular and with good reason.

Left the car at the night drop for unscheduled next day oil, tire and climate control repair (broken blender door) and front brake work - no appointment. Auto service was fast, friendly and competent - at a reasonable price. Dealer had quoted "about $500" for the climate control work that Hollenshade's did for just under $250. Brake job and oil change were competitively priced compared to other garages. Happy with the service will return.Services: Tire rotations, General repairs, Brakes, Oil change

This is THE place to get work done in your car. They are straightforward and have always been honest with the work they do on your vehicle. They always give you a rundown before doing any work to your car before they begin. They give their professional opinion while remaining fair and respectful. They keep meticulous details on any history of work done for your vehicles and they are extremely reliable. I have been going here for years. If it were possible to give them 6 stars, I would. If you're not too far, you need to go to Hollenshade's for your repairs. Its money well spent on a job VERY well done.

I was attending a wedding nearby and noticed the car wasn't tracking straight anymore after hitting a large bump. I didn't want to drive a long distance with a bad alignment. I called them the next day on a Saturday and they were able to fit me in the same day. They verified that was the issue and performed the alignment very well at a more than fair price. I highly recommend them for any service!

Wow! Where to start? Exceptional all around!First time not using a dealership.Audi was towed in with front lower control arm concerns, severe front brake issues, needing an oil change, and driver side rear tire flat.I was called the next day after having it towed in with honest and positive feedback about the car. front lower control arms were not the cause of excessive vibration at highway speeds, it was the brake issue. They did not try to sell me on the control arm bushing repairs. They gave me an honest timeline of when to get them repaired and what the expense will be to save up to. The amount for front brake pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, and fluid exchange came in $2,000 UNDER what the dealership wanted. Hollenshades not only did an amazing job on the repairs but they were unbeatable on cost. Dealership was $160 for oil and filter change. Hollenshades was $80.00 for oil and filter change with the same oil! Amazing! Also, there was no fluff-n-stuff from Hollenshades. Honest hard work.Dealership quoted nearly $3500.00 for all the work that Hollenshades did for 1/3 of that. Dealership also attempted to add junk into it that wasn't truly needed.Towed in Tuesday night, diagnosed and repairs beginning Wednesday, had back on the road Thursday midday.This was my first time away from the dealership. I will be happily returning for remainder work as well as all future servicing needs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change
