Use to be an awesome place. Since Amy is no longer there, the place has been terrible!! Service is terrible!! I made an appointment to drop off a truck. They said they were going to work on the truck, but said it would take a week to get it done. I borrowed a vehicle for a week. I checked on the status of the truck four days later. They hadn t even started working on it. I needed to get my transmission worked on so they took the transmission out of the truck the following week and then realized their stand to service the transmission wasn t heavy enough so they put the transmission back in the truck unfixed.The service manager was about as rude as could be. Needless to say I called and complained to the owner. I was told they would order what was needed and they would call when it came in. This was in October, but they said it would probably be mid-December or longer before they would receive what was needed. I called the beginning of February and was told it was not in yet. I called back mid-March and was told it came in and they had already did one truck but couldn t get the parts to be able to do mine. They used the parts for my truck to work on someone else s. I remained professional throughout all of this even when the service manager was rude again. I asked the owner to call me and was told he couldn t locate all of the parts. I told him to forget it; I would have the truck worked on some place else. I would never be back!! Good luck to anyone who decides to go there now. Rest in peace Amy!! Long time customer; no longer a customer!!

I absolutely love Wantz Chevrolet everyone is professional and courteous and friendly I wouldn t dream of taking my car anywhere else to be serviced. I purchased my car there all my service is done there I live in Owings Mills, MD right around the corner from a Chevy dealer I drive 25 miles to Wantz it s worth the drive the service is always prices are always reasonably priced compared to other certified Chevy dealers. Mike and his body shop team did a great job on my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truckAs it was nearing the end of 2023 I realized that my 2008 pickup truck was not fit for towing anymore. So I called Herman Johnston (commercial sales manager and friend )and asked him if he could order a new 2500 HD And have it delivered before the end of the business year. He did not disappoint. He got me the truck by the end of November.It had everything that I ordered . Herman had Randy detail the truck so that it was perfect for me. And I just want to say that it's refreshing to be able to come back to this dealership time and time again.And get this level of customer care and support. I feel like family Scott even came over and shook my hand and thanked me for purchasing a vehicle.

Great welcome to the service department when I first arrived. Checked in to tell me what was happening with my Suburban and asked for approval to replace some filters. Just very professional and nice people. Hard to find that these days and it was well worth my 50 minutes drive to get car worked on right.

My check engine light came on over the weekend after the service department was closed so had to wait till Monday to call. They told me to bring it right in. Malcolm went above and beyond to resolve the issue quickly. If you are looking for an honest dealership and service department go no further. They only do want is necessary and don t try and rip you off with a whole bunch of stuff that doesn t need done. I live 5 minutes from a large dealership and chose to drive 20 minutes further to go to Wantz for their honesty. We have bought and had service two cars from there and will continue to go back.

I purchased a new Chevy Malibu in January 2023 from a dealer in PA. I recently went to open the hood to refill my washer fluid and it would not open. I called Wantz because they are closer to my home. They didn't hesitate to help. I took it to their service department and waited while they checked it out. The service manager kept me informed of what was going on while I waited. It ended up being a defective latch. Every interaction I had with the various employees was positive. Unfortunately, these days good customer service is hard to find, so it was refreshing to see that Wantz employees know what good customer service is. Thanks for making a very stressful situation much better. I will certainly recommend them if you need a repair or a car.

I had a reoccurring problem identified by engine light and Wantz Chevy staff were able to quickly identify and correct the problem. Service Technician Adam was a pleasure to work with as well.

They had my sons truck for almost 3 months. Charged me for a new battery and I just bought a new one in February of this year. Muffler and exhaust was good but put a new one on for 800 dollars. I had to call them to ask about his truck. Told me brake lining work n power steering pump was being worked on. Two weeks later I stopped in n they told me it was just now being worked on. Also told me the rear was bad n needed repaired, got a second opinion n there is nothing wrong with the rear. I will never go back there.

My car was originally taken to Wantz for possible transmission problems. It was diagnosed to be the catalytic converter and muffler damage. Everything rerouted to be caused by the exhaust (which was recalled). I m so blessed to of taken it here and couldn t be more grateful for the honesty and integrity these people hold. All thanks to Brett for his knowledge and years experience!!!

Adam called to tell me that my check engine light was on which it wasn t when I went in there and that there was a problem with my glow plugs and he took care of it while I was there under a policy with General motors

Took my truck to have it repaired. Did a great job. They Worked with my schedule. It Wasn't inexpensive but they fixed the problem. I'm very happy to have my truck back and can rely on it to get new where I want to go.

Great experience buying a new Tahoe from Wantz. Lloyd and Jeff made the process easy and stress free. Jeff knows everything about Chevy trucks and provided a very helpful bumper to bumper walk through of all the features, settings, etc. (I probably asked 50 questions and he answered all of them.) It could not have been a better buying experience. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable -- everything you want when making such an important purchase.Oct 2022 Update: Just had a great service experience at Wantz. We needed some minor frame repair after hitting a hard object on the highway. The service staff was great. They offered a detailed analysis of the issues and fixed everything for a fair price -- well below what I was afraid it could be. Very trustworthy and gives me peace of mind knowing that our family vehicle is back in good working order. All this to say that my initial five-star review (based on great buying experience) remains after having such an easy and positive service experience. Many thanks Team Wantz!

If you are looking to purchase a vehicle, make sure you go to Wantz Chevrolet in Taneytown, Md.We purchased a 2020 Chev Silverado 4x4 crew cab.The sales department was outstanding. Answered all our questions and took us through the purchasing process as professionals.It was very enjoyable purchasing the truck. You don t find that to much anymore.After having the truck for a couple of weeks, there was a slight issue with one of the tires. I called the salesman and within fifteen minutes later, l was told no problem. They replaced the tire. The Service Department was very courteous and helpful. I was given a loaner .If you want a good deal and feel relaxed at the same time, Wantz Chevrolet is the place to go.George J. Stein

Adam in service did an excellent job of keeping me in the loop as to the status in regards to my repair. Also, I really appreciate the patience of the mechanic in regards to the #2 glow plug being seized. He was able to eventually get it out without breaking it off, which would have been another whole can of worms... Nice Work!

I bought my very first new truck and had Renee as my sales person. She made it super easy smd was just a very nice person in general. It was hassle free and not a high pressure sale. And being able to buy in the County we live in so our money stays local is also very nice.
