Short handed but thorough and quality work. Had them put a used transmission in my pickup along with a clutch, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder and front rotors, calipers and brake pads.

Eric services all our vehicles. I've always been very impressed with his customer service, he's honest and discusses items in terms of importance so you never feel pressured into pricey repairs that aren't necessary. The shop always feels welcoming. This shop has a customer for as long as they're willing to have us. If I could give this shop 0 stars. I would.Their blatant inability to diagnose and repair vehicles has left me and my mother in dangerous situations on the side of the road, more than once.Thousands of dollars were spent at this shop, and they were incapable of fixing even the smallest of issues on two of my vehicles.Fuel lines were left improperly connected which resulted in fuel leaks, on multiple occasions.The exhaust manifolds on my truck that I was told we re leaking, but had never heard a leak, ended up leaking after their repairs, and I brought it back to them multiple times for them to fix the issue. but was still eft with leaking exhaust manifolds. I had it repaired by another shop, who had no issues fixing it.. Taney service centers techs missed low break pads, broken struts, broken motor mounts and a parking break assembly that needed to be completely replaced.They were unable to fix my AC, but charged me anyway. Completely missing the fact that the fan clutch was bad, but marking on the documentation that it was fine.They lied on my paperwork and never compensated me for ANY of the repairs that they failed to properly perform.This is by far the most unprofessional, incapable repair facility I have EVER encountered. I m not sure how they are still in business. I would never recommend them to anyone.STEER CLEAR.

I have been going to Taney SC for about 10 years now. I believe this was before Erich owned it. Erich is the best. He has maintained my fleet of cars over the years. I live about 25 miles away and pass dozens of shops to get here. But finding an honest person to work on your cars is hard these days. And I trust him completely. You can t go wrong with this shop.

I don t see emergency assistance with locked-up steering wheel listed as a service, but that s the kind of service that was provided for me this hot morning in Taneytown. I called Taney Service Center with my dilemma and help arrived just a few minutes later. Apparently I have lost more of my strength than I realized and my steering wheel was immediately unlocked by Erik. I was so thankful he was willing to come to my aid. We have used this business for oil changes and new tire installation and find it to be an outstanding business. Thank you so much for your help.

The greatest shop I've ever been to. Erich is absolutely wonderful. Even gave my 16 yr old a card with phone numbers to contact him in case of emergency with her car. I'll make the drive from PA to go here.

I've been taking my cars to Erich and his crew for several years now. They're the only ones outside of myself and my father whom I trust with my vehicles. Great quality work at a great price!

Absolutely love this business. Been going here since I moved to Taneytown 4 years ago. I've found them to be super competent, honest, and pleasant. It's always a pleasure when I visit. Eric and Faith are the best.

Erich has been the best mechanic find for me!!! He is an honest mechanic, which is so hard to find nowadays. If you need your car to be worked on or even basic maintenance done, I strongly recommend the team at Taney Service Center! (Say hi to Oscar for me )

The ownership and staff are awesome, honest, and reliable. Erik has helped our family for at least 10 years. We have even been on the road in another state and he has taken the time to help us. We know we can trust him and his staff. As a challenge, he even worked on our boat one year!

Honestly a fantastic experience. Owner is knowledgeable and kind, explains everything so there s no mysticism for someone like me without a bit of car knowledge. Prices are extremely fair. I will be coming here for as long as I live in Carroll county

Had it in to replace the erg paid good money to have it done just took it some where else cos the light never went out an found out it was never replaced also wanted them to fix some things so I could get car inspected they never fixed it an lastly when I complained they told me that they would not work on my car anymore so no I would not recommend them since I paid for things that was never done

This is an extremely honest shop and this comes from someone who does not trust any business that is in the auto or mechanical industry.Knowing a lot about engines I brought a 15 year old Pontiac Montana with what I thought was a major engine repair that would have cost over $1000 to Taney Service Center. After discussing the problem Erich (the owner) agreed with the issue and ordered the parts. After a few hours I get a call from Erich stating we were both wrong and that it would be a much less expensive repair. He returned the ordered parts and I was out the door for $300. Who does this?! That's right, Taney Service Center, that's who. This is not the first time I have dealt with this type of honesty from Erich and his mechanics. Good luck out there, you get what you pay for.

There are many businesses you patronize because they are convenient, but only a few you'd go out of your way for just because they are so good. Taney Service Center is the latter. I've been taking my cars here for about 5 years and there is nowhere else I'd go. Finding a mechanic you can trust to do good quality work and not rip you off is priceless. If that is what you are looking for, drive on up to Taneytown and see Erich and his crew. Say hello to Oscar while you're at it ;-)

Great place very trustworthy and great prices. Eric and the guys do a great job and take pride in their work. As the owners are my best friends I can't say enough good things about the place(lol)Really, Faith and Erich took a business that was barely getting by to a robust and profiting one in a very short time. Faith minds all the paperwork and Erich, along with his side kick Oscar, mind the front desk.When Erich first told me of the offer that was made to him to buy the business, I told him the only way it would work was to have Faith help him. That was 13+ years ago and that are still going strong.They have the space to have many days but prefer to keep it small town. This is one of the charming atmospheres about the place. Unlike Bethesda where I live, Taneytown is very laid-back and q uiet. It's a pleasant drive on a weekday up to the countryside. No rush kinda people who actually wave at you from their cars. It's a bit of time in a capsule. Let's hope this doesn't change for a long, long time.

Very honest work and is very fast! Best mechanics I ve been to and they make sure the customers are taken care of.
