Lifesaver. I curbed my tire last night and as luck would have it I have to turn in my lease next month. I called and was quoted prices for a new & used tire - both with full service & both very reasonable compared to other places I ve been. I was shown options when I arrived and left 20 min later with a new to me tire, the old one removed and the spare stored. All said it was easy, affordable and definitely where I will be going next time I inevitably get a flat.

I came to the Takonma Tire Center with a nearly flat tire because of a nail. I called ahead and was assured I could get it patched and on my way within 10 minutes.I arrived, was greeted coldly, and explained the situation. Within 2 seconds of looking at the tire I was told "tire is done...no good" without being given a proper explanation or any options. I asked for the employee to take a closer look and they removed the tire, took out all the air, and just pointed at a part of the tire not related to the puncture hole and just kept saying "no good". I asked for them to patch it and they refused. Okay, no big deal.They helped out on my spare, but when I was headed back to get my old tire with the nail in it, it was taken out and someone else was getting ready to patch it. The 1st employee stopped them and made a sort of "no good" gesture to the other employee and whispered something else.I was given my tire back and was on my way after a $20 labor charge. Fast forward a few days and another auto shop worker in a different city looked at my tire and patched it perfectly within 5 minutes. They explained that it was fine and I was probably being scammed to buy a new tire or set of tires from Takoma Tire.Customer beware.

I must say that this shop is good. They gave me good used tires for Honda accord . They presented several tires to me and then I chose the one I liked. They did the installation with wheel balancing etc. The workers are friendly. Give them a chance if you want not to spend a fortune on new tires.

Their had great/inexpensive prices, great , I had a flat if I drove to them it would have been $65 for a tire and a balance great price but I couldn't drive it so he came to me 24 mins away for $150 everyone else was more then that

This place was incredible. I needed a new tire and was pressed for time. I arrived a few minutes before they opened, and they helped me right away. The new tire was mounted, installed and I was out the door in 11 minutes! The price was very fair. I will absolutely use them again if needed.

The customer service is bad, when you call, they give you a price for the tire and the balancing, and then they charge you more when you are there.

Saw a huge ugly slash on my tire. I thought air was flowing out. I called and immediately someone picked up. They asked me to stop by so that they could take a look. They checked and nope! Tire was fine. Super nice guys, would def recommend!!

The ppl working there are very friendly and know what they are doing. There was a time where my card declined and they told me to come back tomorrow for payment without creating a fuss about it. No matter where i am, i take my car towed there for my tire needs. I appreciate doing business with yall kind people.90s Mercedes Dude

Saw this place was 0.5 miles from me and decided to check in out. Was out in less than 30min and staff was wonderful. Two new tires for less than $300. They did seem to prefer cash which is totally fine and understandable so would suggest bringing that along if you can. Would highly recommend them!

Caught a screw in my tire. They did a quick assessment immediately when I arrived, and had me patched up and back on the road in 20 minutes. Very thankful - I ll come back here again in the future.

We were on vacation and packing up when I noticed we had caught a screw in one of our tires. I found the shop on Google Maps, called to confirm they had time, and headed over. The owner and his staff were very professional and expedient.It turned out that we needed a replacement and he sold me a very reasonable used tire with plenty of life left on it. The new (to us) tire was changed and on our vehicle quicker than it would have taken me to jack up the car.They turned what could have been a major inconvenience in our plans to a minor bump in the road. Made it back to Illinois with no issues.

Punctured a tire and just needed something functional for a few weeks as I had a new car on order. This place was friendly, professional, and very quick- I had the tire patched and it was put back on in under a half hour, for around $25. All on a Sunday afternoon as well.Highly recommend especially for quick unplanned repairs.

If I could give zero stars to post this experience I would. Was told over the phone by Sidell at 12:45 pm on Friday, September 2nd, 4 brand new Michelin Brand tires would be delivered by 2pm on the same day for install with installation and everything, including the warranty for a total price of $700. My daughter arrived at 2pm only to find that the tires and the price for what was promised was not there. The owner who said his name was Edwin, explained that even though Sidell checked with staff to confirm the price and services all included for $700, Seidell gave us incorrect information and told me and my daughter that the price was $924. No one even called me back since the $700 price was given at 12:45pm, to tell me there was a mistake on their end. Edwin told us that he just hired Sidell and he was sorry that our time was waisted. He went on to tell us that even as the owner, he could not come close to honoring what his hired staff quoted. We eventually found NTB in Beltsville and got a beautiful new set of Toyos with all the tire lifetime bells and whistles which also included unlimited alignments for $793. Takoma Tires are falsely advertising and tooting their own horns in their posts. Waist of time, what s your time worth?

I had a screw in my tire and every other shop I called was too busy to fit me in. I was super lucky to find this place! Everyone who worked there was very friendly and they patched my tire really quick (15 mins tops). I will definitely go there again if I have any tire issues.

Popped a tire, so stopped in here. Seems like a new business, and despite being fairly busy I was greeted, found the right set of tires to replace my blown one, and was back out on my way super quick.Friendly service and fair prices, will be back!

Bottom line: If your car has TMPS (which means any car sold in the US after 2008), you might want to find another shop. I'm only giving them 3 stars because they were helpful and friendly.We got a tire repaired here and the next day the tire pressure warning light went on. The tires looked fine but the warning kept coming on even after we reset the TPMS so we went back, thinking that maybe they had broken the monitor in that tire.They said that the tires looked fine and that they'd filled up all four tires to 40 PSI. I showed them that Honda's recommendation was 35 psi for the front tires and 32 psi for the rear tires but they said I should go by what's on the tire, not what Honda says.Well, the warning kept coming on so we went to another shop. This other shop ran diagnostics on the TPMS sensors and said they were all okay but that the tire pressure was too high, which can cause trigger certain TPMS systems. They adjusted the tire pressure down to the Honda recommendations, we reset the TPMS, and we haven't had a problem since.

Edwin was great and fast service. I got stuck in my work van on eastern and he came in less than 5 minutes replaced tire which was at a very good price. I recommend this place to anyone who wants speedy great service

I am so glad I found this tire shop. They gave me advice on which tires were unsafe and I did not feel pressured to buy new tires. The owners were very personable and talked me through all the available options to get back on the road without concern of safety. Highly recommend this tire shop!

I rolled up with a bubble in my tire and they got me back out the door in no time. They looked at all my tires and went to work on finding what I needed.I'll definitely be back.

They are taking tires from salvage companies and spray painting them with shiny black pain and selling them as new tires there is video evidence of this crime which is a felony in extremely dangerous to the public
