I made an appointment to get my tires done and the only time they had available was 3 weeks out, inconvenient but not too bad.On the way to my appointment I am running a bit late, I get there and I'm told that the system automatically cancels the appointment after 15 minutes and the next available opening is in a week. Meanwhile there's is not a single other car in their shop, no other cars in their parking lot either. The auto staff are all sitting around talking to each other. So a week later I get there and proceed to wait in line to check in, by the time I'm able to check in 15 minutes have passed and I'm again told that they'll have to reschedule me.So I come back again arrive on time, wait over an hour before they call me and tell me that there's "an issue with my car" they didn't go into details over the phone. One of the lift blocks (plastic block attached to the frame of the car so the lift isn't metal-on-metal) was broken. Myself and my certified Mini Cooper mechanic just put a block of scrap wood between the lift and the frame to fill the gap, but apparently Walmart is incapable of puttingy tires on because of this and they tell me I have to reschedule the appointment, again. The woman with the blond hair who works behind the service desk (don't remember her name) definitely deserves a raise. She was able to squeeze me in the next Saturday instead of a week out and was very nice through the whole interaction. However the auto tech with the long scraggly beard was the single RUDEST employee I've ever met. The entire interaction he was talking down to me and acting like I'm this colossal idiot for having a superficial plastic block missing from my car and an even bigger idiot for thinking they could do any work on it. Finally, on the way out the door (they had already moved my car to the parking lot) I was asking him a question related to the car. He gave me an answer that I didn't even hear because as he answered he TURNED HIS BACK TO ME AND WALKED AWAY and went into the shop thought the service entrance. So I run to a mini dealership that day and spend $50 on a block of plastic and put it on my car. (I didn't want to wait to have one shipped in for less because after OVER A MONTH of Walmart being Walmart my tires were looking pretty bald). Finally the day of the appointment comes around and I notice a clicking sound coming from one of the tires as I drive. I take it back to the techs, and for some reason two different service techs need to drive the car around with me to hear it even though I knew what it most likely was (I was right without even looking at the car, they used a really fat weight that was clicking into part of the suspension).Overall, absolutely terrible service. Bot times my appointment was canceled after 15 mins there was nobody else there and the techs weren't doing anything. I am most appalled by the extremely rude auto tech. I have never been treated like that in a customer service environment and I'm a pretty forgiving/easygoing guy.My wife's car needs tires now and I won't be getting them done here, mostly because of that one service tech.

Nice experience except the door was locked until 815. I had a 8am appointment. Super fast after that.

Fair prices for decent tires. Everything was on time and they did a good job.

I called after being recommend. i spoke to the Service Manager he guided me on how to get the tires. Tires came in 2 days, when in to have the tires put on, he went over road hazard insurance and told me how to care for tires. The wait was long - but it was worth the wait. Thank you. I just ordered 4 more tires for the van. I find the staff to be "real people" not folks who are doing their job just for the commission. Thank you Walmart - Sykesville Auto Care Center.

My appointment to get my tires mounted that I had already purchased was for 12 today And I had dropped it off at around 930am My car has been done since noon although I did get a phone call, no messages were ever left. So I had looked up the phone number to realize who it was within a few minutes but no answer.. I called a few times more and still no answer.. so I waited a couple hours and called again n someone finally answered the phone.. the guy told me they didn t have the right phone number even though I told him that he did, he said that he was trying to call to let me know that my car was finished and ready to be picked up.. great!!! so I went to pick my car up at 4:00 and no one was at the front desk.. I watched one of the mechanics walk past me 5 times without saying a word as though I didn t exist. After the 6th time I said excuse me is there anyone that works here that can help me I ve been standing here for almost 45mins..The gentleman said that he was with another customer and would be over to help me as soon as he was done. Well that s fine, I understand your extremely busy but a lil communication would have been nice since I have been standing there for 45mins now.. Anyways another gentleman came walking up from the shop to finally help me, which was the same guy that I had dealt with earlier in the morning when I dropped my car off.. he said when he tried to call my number it was saying that it was disconnected, I said hold up no I seen that u called and no messages was ever left so I tried to call back after looking up the number but no one would answer and then you finally did answer and said my car has been ready since noon.. anyways he tells me that my tires that I had brought in to be mounted were about 10 years old which cost extra to mount.. it went from being $68 plus the warranty in rotating which was $78 to now costing $104.. what difference does it make??? if the tires were 10years old or 10 weeks old, just to have them mounted, the price all of a sudden changed and they went ahead and mounted them anyways.. n the tires were never used regardless how old they were..not very happy with the service in customer care, they re communication sucks. And I m not happy with the false advertisement with they re prices on mounting tires either. I definitely won t be coming back.Service: Auto tire replacement

one day I went to get my oil changed and the employees act as if the didn't want to do the job. They say things like we are booked up for days but there is no one there getting serviced. I wonder how much money walmart loses because of these employees on a daily basis? it needs a change for the better. it's just an oil change it takes minutes to get done . I don't understand

I took my car to get an oil change & a flat repair. Everything went smoothly that day. Then about 2 days later the light for my tire pressure came back on for the same tire. I then called a few days later, when I had the time to bring it back in & asked if they had time to fix it yet again that day. The gentleman on the phone told me they could. I brought it in about 20 minutes later & this rude cashier named Donna informed me that they could not take my car by saying, "Oh no no no. We aren't taking cars, sorry". Then accuses me of lying about calling before arriving, she then argued about how the person who answered the phone did not have the authority to tell me they could take my car. And just continued giving me rude responses & just all around made it 10x more stressful then it should have been. Then 2 days after that (today) I did the same thing, called ahead of time, & brought my car in. The younger gentleman that assisted me was very helpful & kind (Kenny? I believe is his name). Then of course Donna came out of nowhere & tried disrupting the peace by saying he's handling it wrong & the receipt I gave him was only for an oil change even though it had both the oil change & flat repair on it. Seems like she needs to be taken away from working with costumers. Just an all around unpleasant walmart employee.

Writing this review while my wife still is waiting to get her new tires on her car. Called at 8am tech said that the tires I wanted were in stock. Got there before 9am only could only find two in stock? Had to choose a different tire. Was given a time frame of 1 1/2 -2 hours to put on new tires. Told only two cars ahead of her. (turned out to be four cars) At 11:47am Auto manager said her car was next. Took a Jeep ahead of her. Right now it is 1:04pm wife still waiting. I have gotten tires here before from my truck, sons car and wives car. Will never give Walmart my business for tires.

Absolutely horrible! I went there to get a battery change & left with a damaged hose & car problems that the auto center caused. Also my battery cable wasn't properly placed on the battery (cable were left loose) which caused my battery to malfunction. Besides bring my car in at 845am & not being told until after 12 noon that they could remove my battery cable even tho Walmart auto is the place that put it on when I received my previous battery. I don't know if I was treat like this bc I was a woman or bc I was black, but at the end of the day they also was suppose to replace my battery cable & didn't! This situation resulted in me leaving going to another auto shop bc Walmart auto center told me that's what I needed to do to get the battery cable off. When I did take it to another auto shop, the cables came off with no problem. The mechanic at that shop told me that Walmart may have not wanted to do the work of changing my battery thats why they sent me on a goose chase. Long story short, if you are black or a woman, don't go to Walmart auto care center in Sykesville, MD! I gave 5 stars so that it will be seen.

When i called on Saturday to schedule an appointment they told me it was first come first serve and to pull my car up and wait in line. I arrived 1 hour early to ensure i was first because i had other appointments. I waited in line for 30 min and then was told i had to park my car and go inside. By this time their were people already inline and the wait was now going to be over two hours. The service advisors were very rude and dismissive. This will be my last visit to this walmart. VERY Disappointed.

4 different attempts to get an oil change. You can t schedule in advance because they don t answer the phone. You can t do a walk-in because they are always understaffed. On my 4th and final attempt to get an oil change there this was my experience. One person in auto bays working. One person at register. Phone ringing off the hook. Person behind counter was very unfriendly, but in her defense who could be in this type of work environment. She needed a manager for the customer infront if me. I patiently waited 15 minutes for the manager to come and do whatever needed to be done at the register. The elderly woman then asked the lady behind register if someone could help carry out the two tires she just bought. She was told no, they didn t have anyone but they aren t that hard to roll. The manager walked away while this was happening. The poor woman was just standing there staring in Disbelief when the lady at the register asked what I needed. I told her an oil change and she laughed at me. She said not a chance they were totally booked. Keep in mind only one person working in Bays outside.I know my mi eye means nothing to Walmart. Their business model has been for the past 30 years, open a store, over staff it, provide amazing service and selection, put all the mom and pops out of business.... Then cut staff, cut selection and not respond to service issues. The Skykesville/Eldersburg location is a prime example of this and an awful place to shop.I let the cashier know my feelings and told her I didn t blame her for hating her job or being miserable but she should probably look for another job because Walmart is terrible to employees and customers. I then helped the elderly woman carry her tires to her car and loaded them in her trunk. That was my last trip ever I to a Walmart. It may not hurt them, but It s the point. My hard earned money will not be spent there again.

Poor service, very unfriendly staff and at times even rude. The Tire and Lube or Auto Department technically opens at 7:00 AM, but i waited from 7:00 AM until 7:30 and no one arrived, so i had to finally leave the store and try to come back another day. Please train your staff to be kind, helpful and have a professional attitude towards their work life.

low staff, unfriendly employees, needs to acknowledge customers when they need assistancecame to Walmart at 9:15 and said it would be a 2 hour wait.. left and walked around the store and did other stuff while my time passes by. come back at 12, and my car is STILL in the parking lot. hate how it s first come, first serve. really should say that they are understaffed and it might be longer than the wait time. Will NEVER be coming here again.

Worthy of NO Stars, I ordered four cheap times for an old car on-line with the expectation of having them installed (checked first for installation). They billed the CC and said they would be in four days ago. I received delay notices twice and nothing in the last couple days. Going into the store I spoke to the tire service manager (good guy). He looked in multiple locations but was unable to find the tires in the store. A salesperson behind the service counter (grumpy woman) told me they were not servicing ANYMORE CARS AT 0845 in the morning. WHAT THE HECK IT'S 0845, been open 45 minutes and you're done for the DAY!! Called 1-800-WALMART as directed by the manager to find out where the tires are and their response was to cancel the tires (Supposedly they were FedEx delivered and signed for at the store, can't find them).I tried to buy tires from these guys for a 2011 Equinox with the same dismal result, couple years ago (second chance this time and another FAIL). The BRAND NEW STORE could sell me the tires then... but not get the vehicle off the ground to put the tires on. What a joke, I guess I am privileged they could put tires on a minivan (but not this time NO TIRES or ABILITY TO INSTALL THEM).Summary: Go somewhere else and get tires, the wasted time and frustration is all you're going to get from Wal-Mart. I went to NTB and paid $70 more and there are still plenty more tire places in the area. I dislike going into ANY Wal-Mart, dislike their predatory business practices but compromised for a few bucks. IT'S NOT A DEAL IF YOU CAN'T GET THE TIRES OR... GET THEM INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE.

When i visited to get my oil done i was told they do not do walk in oil changes like before. Which is really the only reason I went to wallMart tire and lube over any other place. Be warned and schedule your appointment so you don't waste your morning.

Even though they can't always answer the phone, their service is prompt and correct. Remember when going here for service to make sure you have an appointment. Due to short staffing they do not accept walk ins in most cases.

Schedule Appointment?????? We were told you can not do that and yet two days in a row they are fully booked by 9:00 am for the entire day that ends at 7:00?? Two cars and eight tires = a loss of sale and future business. We called the first time and were told to come in showed up In An hour and half. The working was clueless and said they are booked.

60 dollars for an oil change on a Ford? Good Night Walmart Auto Care. Walmart Auto Fraud sounds more like it. And took hours and hours. Mr Tire only charged 35. Go anywhere but here.

Why do I keep trying to give them a chance? Everytime Walmart sells me on their low prices, they make me regret it. You either get no service or rude service here, and good luck even getting tires shipped here, as they will likely lose your product.

They did a great job but it is first come first serve no matter what you are getting done. If you are in a rush go in early through the front entrance and wait at the counter. First at the counter gets served first even if people waiting outside are waiting longer. They have a sign posted about this like 4 feet away from the entrance so it is difficult to see.

These guys aren't it. Showed up with a tire problem on a Saturday afternoon and when I asked for help they said even though they didn't have anything else they were getting off in a little bit and didn't feel like it. They weren't closing for 45 mins .

Slow...very rude employees. They have turned me away on more than one occasion... Rediculous wait times. After two hours and still my car hadnt moved from the parking lot i asked for my keys back and went across the street to Mr Tire where they took my car right away and i spent the same money I would have spent at Walmart.
