My room is located near the back exit. Upon arrival the door would not open with key card and front desk had to manually unlock door. This resolved the issue. Took 2 days to put knockout back in after I asked a second time to replace it.Upon entering the room it smelled like cigarettes, since the heat was not on in the room, the air was not circulated. Also location of room is near a smoking area. The shower handle was loose and the screw holding was missing. Asked the front desk to have it fixed. It was not fixed, waiting to see if it gets repaired today. The rate reflects the condition of the property.

We love this hotel, the marina, it holds a lot of memories for us and we will keep coming back. Do i wish there was SOME sort of meat for breakfast? YES but other than that, clean, quiet, comfy and if you get a hot tub room, it is worth it and the sun rises just outside your window with all the boats. Picturesque! Short stroll to food and a 2min drive to tiki bar and boardwalk area. Catch the sunset there!

I keep trying to give this hotel a chance, and they always fail me. My most recent stay the room was horrible! There was a washcloth hanging from the shower, from I assume previous patrons, the shower curtain smelled of mildew, like it's never been changed or washed. The bathroom floor had not been swept, the room looked as of they made the bed and that's it. You take your chances staying at this place, front desk staff is friendly.

Sincerely hoping these rooms are in the process of being renovated. The shower curtain rod was hanging on by a literal thread of drywall, so the shower curtain wouldn't stay put and ended up flooding the bathroom floor with water spray. The shower was peeling and stained, caulk was gross with black mold around fixtures. The toilet was hardly attached to the floor. There was drywall dust on every surface. However, the bathroom mirror was spotless and the beds were comfortable. I don't mind old, but I could have handled a bit more cleanliness. Staff was super nice.

Great experience especially for the price! We upgraded to the hot tub room, and it was great! The rooms were spacious and clean. Some areas in the room could use a little improvement (the paint from the hot tub and the shower were coming off, and the AC was only one setting), but these were only minor concerns. They still provided breakfast, there was a pool, the hot tub in the room was great, and the location was very good. We definitely would recommend this hotel!Rooms: Good rooms. Could use a little paint, and the AC works, but it doesn't allow to turn off or change settings.Nearby activities: Very close to the boardwalk area - a 3 minute driveSafety: Very safe areaWalkability: It's a little far of a walk to the pier, but you could walk. It's a 3 minute drive.Food & drinks: They provide a limited breakfast - cereals, pastries, fruit, and a waffle maker.Noteworthy details: Make sure to upgrade to the hot tub in the room! It's nice!

The rooms are now, nothing like the pictures posted! Though you get an okay price for the rooms, we can sleep with ants outside free of charge! This is the 3rd year and worst year we have made this hotel our home away for home for our fishing trip. Not only is the paint peeling off the walls, but there are drill holes in various places within the rooms, and in room 204, the mattresses are ant infested. My guests in the room called me at 4:30 AM informed me of the issue, we called the night manager and spoke to the overall manager. The holes in the mattresses are covered by the bedding. They even refused to give me a full refund for the room. As I stated, we can sleep outside with ants and other insects free of charge! If you decide to stay here, do not stay in room 204 without having something from them in writing that they corrected the issue 100% and will refund you if they didn't!

To start, my first room (123) was tidy but REEKED of mold and mildew. After a quick look around I noticed a few areas of concern. The 3 large dark spots near the janky mini fridge and the huge poorly patched wet spot in the ceiling. My next room was much better except for the cigarette odor (despite the no-smoking policy). My past (early 2000's) experiences with this hotel brand left a whole lot to be desired, but I was surprised this time (which may be due to the fact that they're trying to compete with a few higher quality establishments in this small tourist community). The hotel is OUTDATED for sure, but overall, the hotel is affordable, welcoming and quiet; the staff were pleasant, professional and very accommodating; the rooms are a nice size, clean and the beds are comfy. Lastly, the "Hot Breakfast" was abysmal. You're better off eating ANYWHERE else, but then it is free .

My husband and I checked in for an overnight stay. We were pleased to find the hotel staff was kind in their enforcement of the COVID regulations. We felt safe and valued. The rooms were clean and tidy. We highly recommend this facility for your next stay.Front desk has a very pleasant and professional customer service attitude when you first walk in. He is very knowledgeable about his job. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The rooms are a nice size and the beds are so comfy. I will be back!

The price for this place was good. The area where it was was good. However, we were placed in a room that appeared as it was half cleaned or perhaps just beds that were made and who knows probably made for the previous occupants were the sheets were never changed. There was not soap but there was shampoo. The tub was dirty and we had to complained about the dirty tub. After it was cleaned we realize that it wasn't draining. If there was someone who cleaned it, they would realize it wasn't draining. Finally we decided to request a different room. Don't plan for a breakfast. The breakfast is the worse. No juice one day and not plastic wear, no plates or bowls the next. The cereal was never put out even though there was cereal under the cabinets as well as plastic wear, No cold milk. The stair way was very dirty not only the steps but also the handrail. We didn't even want to hold on to the handrail. We are in a Pandemic time still, they should be cleaning those stairs as well as the hand rail. Arbitrarily, they booked us an charged us for an additional night without a request for an additional night. Luckily, I had stopped at the front desk before leaving to return the key, that's when I was told that I had an additional night. I told them that I never requested an additional night. It has been raining the previous two days why would I want to stay another raining day? I requested a receipt particularly because I wanted evidence that I was getting a refund. A week after leaving I called them to asked for the refund that had not yet appeared on my credit card and they said that it would be there in a few days. Two and a half weeks later my refund/credit has not been posted to my credit card. Otherwise, if none of these stuff would not had happened, they would get a better review because actually the area is really nice place.

Pealing paint in bathroom on the walls and in the tub/shower, main door to room had light shining all the way around it, not sealed well at all, no pool, (that was empty) No Wi-Fi, small tv with very few channels, screaming kids and what sounded like outrageous family heard all the way from end of the hall to the check in station, then starting at 11 pm drunk people loud and partying till all hours of the night after being told at least three times to keep it down they just moved to another room. We will never go back!

Overall it was great, we stayed in room 116 the pool was nice to lay out and swim. There is a bar behind the hotel that does karaoke on Friday nights with great food and drinks. The only thing about the rooms is that they are still a little outdated. Our shower curtain hanger and towel rack were very loose and about to come out of the wall.

When I stayed, we could not get into our room as the keycard wasn't working. Thankfully staff was very kind and friendly and got us in. The fire alarm was beeping so we had to tell them about that, and they promptly moved us into a different room. Unfortunately the new room we got into had dirty towels (one even had blood on it, ew) and wasn't clean. You could tell that housekeeping didn't care to do a proper clean and just did the bare minimum to make the room look like it had been cleaned. I told housekeeping the next day, though, and they took extra time to get my clean towels and tidy up my room. Besides those few hiccups, the stay was great ! Breakfast was surprisingly good and, though the rooms are a bit outdated, my stay was comfortable and I had a great view of the marina. When I come back here, I'll probably stay here again ! Though I do hope housekeeping does get better

I give this 5 stars for staff and 1 star for hotel. Our door did not close from the inside they did not offer to move us said they would report it to get fixed, it didn't. The place needed carpets cleaned and up graded. Beds were so squishy and uncomfortable but the blankets were awesome. They did except pets, it was near the water. The outside was prettier than the inside. You got breakfast but it was powdered eggs, frozen sausage links still cold. Bagels were good. The room needed a good scrubbing.

The staff was wonderful and the room was clean. I was devastated to learn it was a smoking hotel. Out clothes, hair, pillows and towels all stunk of smoke during our stay and even when we got home. Why the smoking rooms would be on the first floor and non smoking on the second doesn't make sense to me. But the staff and breakfast were really great! And the view is incredible!

Very nice Inn. Quaint. Great pool. I have only 2 issues 1 was as it is an older building and the smell of cigarettes are present and I realize there is not much to be done for that due to age of building. Also do to it's age it does not have elevator and had I known at booking I would have requested first floor or even requested handicapped room (my husband is chronically anemic and stairs and long walks are very tiring for him and leaves him short of breath). Of course upon checking in no first floor rooms available. So I had to carry everything to 2nd floor room. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The views of the bay lovely. I would definitely return given the opportunity but now I know to request first floor at booking.

This placeis awesome. Tara is fantastic! The rooms are awesome. We got a room with a whirlpool tub and loved every minute of it. The bed is the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in at a hotel. The room could have used a little bit more cleaning, but it was nice. The breakfast was great, and the attendant was super nice and on his job. I will be coming back!

My husband and I stayed here from Sunday through Friday in July. It was the worst stay we have ever had in a hotel. Our maid did not clean our room until the 10 minutes she came in after us complaining at the front desk 3 separate times. Then, the only thing she did was make the bed and empty the trash. We had to go to the front desk to ask for clean towels, soap, shampoo etc 3 times out of the 6 days we were there. The front desk assured us that they would ,are a note of our complaints and ,are sure the maid would come and clean our room. Still.....NO MAID SERVICE. The morning we checked out, we again confronted the front desk staff and the only thing they offered was $50.00 off of our bill. That, to us, was an insult. I have contacted corporate office 3 times since our stay and have yet to get a return call. Do yourselves a favor.....go to the Holiday Inn around the corner. Sincerely Geary and Lynn Love

The first day/night was OK. The check in desk clerk was excellent. The room, however was not clean. The lamp was full of cobwebs, the shower and bathroom were dirty. Took a shower and found blood on the curtain and cockroaches walking around the bathroom at night. On the second day the room attendant changed the bloody curtain and cleaned the bathroom, but failed to finish the room - did not change dirty sheets or even attempt to make the bed, left us with no towels or wash cloths, and a quarter of a roll of toilet paper. Further note, we had to make our own bed, pillow cases and all and get the off duty desk clerk to bring towels and toilet paper. Thanks to Ms. West at the front desk for all her hard work. By the way I think the room attendant needs to find work elsewhere. Trash in the room not emptied, trash cans outside the doors over flowing, and the canister of dog poop filled to the brim. Really, is this any way to run a hotel? The free coffee is very good, Ms. West and the check in clerk are good, but the rest is one "star" or less.

Very nice location! Looked newly updated.. but the rooms could have been cleaner! I woke up with over 30 bites from something in my bed... And yes I counted because I knew they were not your average "I was outside all day mosquito bites". Other than that and the very bland breakfast choices, I guess it was an ok place to stay for one night. But I probably wouldn't stay there again-room 115

I called the hotel to make sure they offered connecting rooms because of the children before I made the reservations. I paid for this on 10/29 and check in was 11/27. My husband and my son went down to check in before we went to do other things for the evening. They were told the hotel did NOT have connecting rooms. But that they would give my son and his family rooms side by side. When my son and his family returned to the hotel later that evening, my son went to one room and found a connecting door with another room. He opened the door to be sure that the door(there are always 2 doors) was what he thought it was before going down to see why he was given the wrong info. The patron in the connecting room started kicking the door and threating my son. Do you see where this is going. There was a disturbance, because we were given the wrong information and what I paid for WELL in advance.

Best value in the area, we always stay here when we visit. You get what you pay for, basic rooms and basic breakfast. A major plus is their dog friendly policy - and only $25! Location is great and the staff is friendly. Room quality is lacking from our last visit, the bath light fixture fell when the door closed- the shower was very low hanging and the water pressure was light. And the tub did not have a plug, which made getting the mud off our dog a pain, luckily there is a great local pet store with self-wash tubs.

It started out nice. The desk staff was great. Towards the end of my stay I learned housekeeping and new desk person was less honest. When my medication was taken. Then when I contacted a higher person she never returned my call. I had to call her back. Be careful with what you leave or forget in your room.. I didnt even mention my earring were gone. Sadly they ruined a beautiful time for me. I remained sick the entire 4 day weekend. You can only hide your staffs terrible behavior for so long before it catches up to your hotel.

Your basic Choice hotel. Breakfast was nothing fancy: coffee, individually wrapped bagels, juice machine, little yogurts, grits packets, and apple. Pancake /waffle machine not operating. Side dining area.BUT, the inside appears to be recently renovated. Friendly employees.Room was decent. Our door had a little issue in latching/ unlocking.Plenty of air conditioning (thank goodness because of the excessive heat). Not that easy to find the hotel, but location very convenient to activities in Solomons (including the Calvert Museum). The surrounding marina seems to have seen better days. At least there's the separate restaurant nearby overlooking the boats.
