I was very pleased with my visit to Rusty Nitz Diesel (formerly Total Lube). Had a nail in my tire and the tire couldn't be repaired. The tires I had have been discontinued but they did me a solid and looked for one. They were able to find it and replaced it for me. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and willing to help.

Had multiple issues with my vehicle today and their fantastic crew helped fix the issues seamlessly and efficiently. Definitely the best auto repair shop I have ever gone to.

Five Star Service! Recommended by my mechanic friend as the best oil change place near Hagerstown. The service was quick and thorough and all performed by experienced techs under the watchful eye of a local career mechanic.Highly recommend and I will bring all of my vehicles here for oil and lube service.

I have been getting my vehicle serviced and repaired at Total Lube for many years. They are excellent to deal with and always treat the customer with consideration, professionalism, and fairness. I ve never had a complaint with any of the service work they have done for me. Hard-working, fair, quality work and good prices. They care more about taking care of you and seeing that you re happy with the service than they are about getting the highest dollar. I love this place. I am 31 and have been bringing my cars here since I was 16. I now live in Inwood and still make the drive just to bring my car here. Very friendly and professional. They are honest and NEVER try to sell me things I don t need like other mechanics do. Superior service everytime!We've lived in Smithsburg for 20 years now, and ever since my first day at the total lube, they have given us first class service everytime. The people are very friendly and fast. Drive in the back and out the front in less than 30 mins everytime. In my opinion, they are the last of a dying breed of honest mechanics left in the U.S. They don't just tell you something is wrong with your vehicle, they give you a lesson on automotive service and care about your repair. Twice now I have had work done on my vehicle and they let me test drive my car for several days before paying. I will never take my cars to any other service station as long as they are in business.

Smithsburg and the surrounding areas are very lucky to have this business in our backyard.The staff is wonderful - and most of them are family and they will treat you like family. [in a good way- they will not make you clean your room]They care about each other and everyone who uses their services.Honest, Fast. They are very informative and comfortable to talk about your car. I will never take our cars/trucks anywhere else.Hint of this haunt: Great for oil changes but they are a full service garage too. Often offering a ride home if you are in need.

Great people to work with! I've had both of my vehicle serviced here and have always had a good experience. The lady at the front desk was very nice and even helped entertain my kids while we waited. Also very reasonable prices, I would highly recommend Total Lube Center!!

These guys always take care of me quick, efficiently, and for a great price. They never recommend things I do not need or try to upsell me. They have recommended things I did need at the right time and then fixed and replaced for a great cost! Highly recommended!

Camping in the Catoctin Mountains and we're from out of state when in the morning to start our car it acted up and the oil light came on. We checked the oil and it looked way low. We were stressed and luckily the camp host got us a quart of oil so we could get to town. Found this place online and were about due for an oil change anyways. I cannot tell you how amazing and wonderful these people were. Our car has been weird with oil (2010 Subaru Outback) and that quart we put in made it nearly full! The gal and guys here said we could be ok without an oil change but if we really wanted to go ahead they would get it done. Other people would have not done this, they would have said we def. needed a change, these people are honest and legit good people! We had them go ahead and do the oil change and it was reasonably priced. They gave us a slew of info and helpful tips and just simply rocked! We were so grateful to have found such a stellar place! And the beautiful furry pup that greeted us at the desk in the waiting area was too dang sweet! Take it from us, people who have dealt with some awful cheats and liars, this place is highly recommended by us all around!

Great service at a fair price. Keeps a record of the service on your vehicle. I also use Total Lube service for any maintenance/repairs as it is faster, reliable, and at a lower cost than the big dealer garages.

Total Lube is a family run business that is extremely personable. They get to know their customers and their cars. They know our family and do favors as well, they have even picked up our cars when they need work or dropped us off at home if no one could help us drop the car off. They are also very honest, and have told my mother to take her VW somewhere else for specialty stuff because they did not want to do something wrong since it isn't their specialty.

I wish I was able to give 0 stars.i have to say I have never encountered someone as rude and inconsiderate as I did today. You would think being a mechanic they would have a bit more sympathy for someone that broke down and asked for assistance. Let me clarify: my husband had a fuel line bust on his way from Waynesboro back to his shop. He stopped at the closest shop (this place) and asked if they had time to fix the fuel line. Nope, they don't work on diesel trucks. Not a problem, do they have a tow company they recommend...nope we can't help you. Again, no problem! As he waited for the tow truck they came out screaming about the mess on the road from the fuel. My husband asked if he had anything he could use to clean it up. Nope, as a mechanic he has NOTHING to clean up a fuel spill. He said after he got towed he would be back. The guy then sent his secretary out to yell about the spill. Maybe they were having a worse day than my husband but that is still not a reason to act the way you did. You lost a potential customer today and I will be sure to tell everyone how this place treats potential customers.

Deliberately cut a hole in my girlfriends radiator hose and said it was cracked. Didn't have fluid spraying all over before going in, after it was spraying everywhere. The position/direction of the "crack" was an obvious cut with some sort of blade. Have pictures to prove it too.(cracks arent clean cut!) Shady operation in my opinion but its hard to find a good one these days. My suggestion would be to keep on looking for an honest mechanic/dealer or just do it yourself. Fitzgerald Service department is top notch, a little more money but worth it.
