I was highly skeptical at first, the reviews were very damaging, but my intuition was pushing me towards this car. These people are courteous, passionate and more importantly caring about their customers. It s not a typical used car lot, and I m very happy with my purchase. They allowed me to drive every car, mechanically check them with my mechanic and even redetailed it for me. I asked if they would help me drop it off about 10 miles from their place and they were very kind to do so without an extra cost. I did have an issue with my starter about 3 weeks after buying it and even though it was sold as-is, they reimbursed me for the repair. thank you Panamericanmotors

I drove through a large puddle during a rainstorm and flooded my engine. My insurance sent my car here to be fixed and covered.The service was amazing and the car ran great after they replaced my engine.About 3 weeks after I picked my car up, my engine started overheating. I got it towed back to the shop so they could check it out.I was stressed because it was right in the middle of my work day and this ruined everything. When we got to the shop they looked at it right away and diagnosed the issue. They were honest and fair about what happened. Got it fixed and me back in my car very quickly so I could get my day back on track.I can t recommend this shop anymore, you are in good hands if you take your car here.Service: Engine repair

Insane workshop! The mechanics are very sincere and honest with you, and they fix your car in no time! The jobs are always well done here as well! This place was recommended to me by a near by shop which I have gone to in the past since they were not able to service my vehicle at the time. Overall my experience was wonderful. I was greeted by friendly staff who were efficient and professional. The individual assisting me was attentive and he explained things in simple terms since I am not too familiar with service/mechanical issues concerning cars. I would definitely recommend this shop to my friends and family and anyone in need of a quality shop.

Used to be a regular customer but no more! Pan Am performed a sloppy oil change and when we brought it back to them leaking, they slapped glue over the problem instead of properly fixing it. Now, we re out a couple hundred bucks for an oil pan replacement that s unheard of for such a young car. When the issue came to light, we were treated rudely. Save yourself the hassle and go to a shop that takes responsibility for the quality of their work and treats their customers with respect. See Yelp for full details.RE: owner's reply (4 years later!)... after a prolonged battle for compensation, the owner offered a check for 50% of the total cost that we had paid the dealer to replace the oil pan. Of course we accepted it but we were still extremely frustrated that we had to replace a part in our car due to their sloppy work and we were stuck paying for half.

I have a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle that has been a pain in my butt since I purchased it. I purchased it make me feel better since I am a Wounded Warrior. I took it to two shops that would replace parts and the car would still cut off or the engine light would come on. One of the auto shops told me that the car needs a new computer. I put a lot of my extra money I save monthly in the car. I took it to PAN AMERICAN MOTORS. They was professional and the place was clean. I can actually say it was spotless. The guy took my car and stated he would call me. He called me two days later and told me that I need to come back and pick up the car or replace the mass air sensor. I told him I just replaced it two weeks ago at another auto shop. He stated that it was a Boush and not a Volkswagen part. He placed it on and the light did not come back on for now. I am very grateful for their excellent work and professionalism. Please go there for a specialized technician to speak to you about your car. Stop going to these shop that looks like a dirty old shop from the past. Thank you PAN AMERICAN MOTORS..Thank you.

When my car started stalling unexpectedly, I didn't know where to take it to get it checked out. A friend recommended Pan American Motors so I took it there. I am so glad I did. They were able to pinpoint the cause very quickly, get it repaired the same day, and the cost was very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and professional. I would definitely go back there for regular maintenance as well as repairs. They won my trust!

When we dropped off the car the a/c did not work but the fan did work. When we picked the car up after they told us they could not fix it, the front end electronics including the fan was not working. We had to call them to get the car because they never even called us to come get it after over a week when it should have been ready one way or another. When we tried to pick it up after they said they could not fix it, we got there to find that "they had not yet put it back together." When we then took it to a dealer the dealer said not only was the front end electronics damaged but also that the compressor was bad. Pan American motors told us the compressor was ok. They charged us over $150 for installing parts that did not fix the problem. Now it will cost $1300 for a new compressor and $1700 to fix the electronics. When we called to let them know what the dealer said they asked us to bring the car back because they said may have been not rewired correctly. I do not want them to touch my car again so I will pay the dealer to fix it. Worst experience with car repair ever!

I love this place! Convenient and fast with out compromising the quality of their work. It's a one stop shop, with people that know what they are doing and very friendly. I've been taking my cars there for over 6 years and haven't had a problem. I've even recommended them to friends, they are also happy!

Great place to bring your car for minor and major repairs. The staff is great and the owner Aldo is very knowledgeable and gets the job done for a fraction of what the dealer charges. Thanks for replacing my Hemi engine, it runs great!!!

When I need something done on my cars I first think of coming to these guys. Their hourly labor rate is much lower then what I am used to seeing around town. They typically use OEM parts which could get to be expensive but does provide piece of mind down the road.The staff are very friendly and easy to get along with. I recommend this shop for all your automotive needs.

Panam has been fixing my cars for the past 5 years and i gotta say i cant complain. I am always given the luxury treatment, and they strive to meet my needs, whether i want my car to be fixed fast, with original parts, or kept in the store for a few days i am please in every way. I recommend this shop to all.

Came here for an Maryland Certificate of Inspection. They failed me saying that I needed front struts replacement. Their quote of $440 was cheaper than the other shops around so I just let them do the work there. They earned one star for the good price.Got a call from Imran a few hours later. He told me that they broke my front axle and will charge me only for the new part ($60) and not the labor to replace it. I said that I am paying them 3 hours to do the job, they should have done the job slowly and not break anything. He insisted that ANYONE working on my car would need to break that piece in order to finish the job. I said go ahead, I'll pay for it (note: it is common practice for shops to pay for what they break due to negligence). I needed to wait for an extra day because they need to get the new axle. I was told to come get the car at 10am the next morning.I arrived at 10:30am. Imran told me that I need to pay $75 more and wait for 45 mins to get an alignment. I said I was already paying $60 more than the quote and have waited around for a day extra, so if my car needs alignment after what they have done to it, it will be out of their pocket, not mine. Imran agreed to do it for free, but the alignment took only 15 minutes. And he said it was supposed to take 45 minutes when he thought he could charge me for it? When I asked them why only 15 instead of 45 minutes, Imran said they could keep my car sitting up there for 30 more minutes if I'd like. It was great customer service (sarcasm intended).The mechanics were nice. One of them took my car for a test drive and assured me that the alignment was good. But, because of the unpleasant arguments, I would never go back to that place again.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!My husbands work van was having an issue starting so we brought it here for them to look at the previous week. They had it for two days and said it was the alternator and fixed it and it was good to go. So we take it, and it was NOT fine.It kept doing the same thing so we brought it back in, being told everything was under warranty and that we wouldn t be charged more for their mistake. We waited for 3 days, without any updates (all while trying to get an update from them) to get the van back - the whole time my husband or I are Ubering to work because we re sharing one car. They used every excuse under the sun as to why it hadn t even been looked at, my favorite was we haven t looked at it because it s raining and we have to look at it outside... while they have a full indoor garage.We finally get a call back yesterday at 5:30p (after calling for three days straight with either no answer to the phone or because we couldn t get a straight answer) saying that the issue was fixed and we could come pick up the van. Yay right?Wrong, we walk in to grab it and they decided we re going to be charged extra money for THEIR MESS-UP (and yes they actually admitted to it being their fault that the plugs were fried). The guy at the front desk was rude and only addressed my husband, even when I directly spoke to him, he would look away, ignore my question or just talk to my husband - completely unprofessional. He then called the owner who was also rude (shocker), continuously cut us off and blamed us for everything. All the while, the guy at the front desk and the mechanic who messed up on the work were talking about us right in front of us and other customers sitting and waiting.The fact of the matter is, the entire issue (THE VAN NOT STARTING) should have been fixed last week when we brought it in for the first time with the same issue.Do not bring your car here for any type of issue. They are completely unprofessional and will take you for all of your money (and the worst part is they were recommended to me from Hannigans - just got to Hannigans instead! They are MUCH BETTER!)

I take my 2004 GMC Envoy XUV and 2001 Volkswagen Beetle. I am so grateful for the work these guys does. They even alert me when services are not needed with no charge. I will always send my cars here because I enjoy the trust they place in their service

These are my guys. They're knowledgeable, helpful and trustworthy. Alex has done his absolute best to diagnose and fix my 17 year old car and to kept it moving as best he can.Edit: Dec. 2018, Alex is not there at this time.

I lost my time and money... My 4runner has three lights on the dashboard I brought to the shop they're ask me to leave the car for two days, after that they called me to tell me that the computer inspection reflect that a part needs to change it and the cost will be $1209, I accepted, after I pick up the car I have to bring the car every week with the same lights on finally after 3 months they tell me they have to change another part I accepted and paid $200 then the lights still on, then their have to change another part, will cost another $1000These people are guessing
