Vlad is GREAT! Took my Audi there frequently and saved a lot of money. His knowledge and work quality is supreme. He also doesn't suggest anything that isn't needed and recommends only what will benefit your car (and your pockets).

3/25/24- leaving another review for the best in the auto business! I had my annual car service and knew exactly who to take it to. The work was done efficiently and finished a day early. Great work and another awesome experience.I came across CJ Foreign car service based on their high google reviews and they really lived up to everyone s comments. I took my Range Rover Velar in for some turbo work and they diagnosed the need and got the work done quickly. Eugene even made the effort to work with my insurance to get coverage sorted out.If you need quality work with professional service this is your place! CJ Foreign has my business from now on. I only trust them to do car maintenance. I appreciate the respect, integrity and communication especially being a woman and not always getting that treatment.Thanks CJ Foreign team!

Very professional and great communication!! I have been taking my Porsche to dealers and a private place in Va for the past 2 years without having issues fully resolved. I wish that I discovered CJ Foreign Car Service earlier! Eugene was great answering questions before my appointment, and during my appointment for an oil change and engine work. Eugene and his team was able to resolve my ongoing problems and the car runs like new! Took my newly purchased used Audi to CJ's, after spotting some issues that weren't fixed by the dealer. Not only did they fix my issues, they identified a couple more problems that they fixed. The use of technology to show and explain the issues made it easy for me to identify things I wanted fixed vs things that needed to be fixed. Its hard to find that kind of transparency these days. They stayed in constant contact updating me as they made progress and when it was done, I was able to pick up my car after hours. Definitely bringing my car back here. Great work, all around.

I have been bringing my cars here for too many years to count. Excellent work on my many BMWs as well as my somewhat cranky Audi that started burning oil like crazy. Totally trust them with my cars. If I m having an emergency they squeeze me in. Shop has expanded capacity recently and is still super solid and won t recommend anything you don t need.

CJ s Foreign Car is the best place I ve been for my Audi. They are very thorough with their work and make sure everything is done correctly before you drive off with your vehicle. They were able to correct a major issue I had with my car that many other shops may not have caught all in one day. I will be returning here they do great work and they re efficient!

After going to the dealer and a gas station my issue was not resolved . I decided to take a chance on a business in my neighborhood and I am so glad I came here.A special thanks to the crew who worked on my bmw especially to Eugene who went above and beyond repairing my car and getting me back on the road. This shop knows what they are doing.Everything was explained to me and the price was very reasonable. So I am very pleased with the work and the customer service I received.Eugene you rock . I don t know why the previous mechanics could not resolve my issue ( the car kept cutting off while I was driving or backing up)I recommend bringing your foreign car here if you have problems. This has to be the best car service I ever had. My dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree. And I had issues with my door handle. Eugene walked me through the issues I was having with my car. He sent me estimates and even ended up having my estimate decreased by a significant amount. My issues with the car was fixed and completed in a timely manner as well. The customer service was extraordinary. Eugene kept in contact to let me know what was being worked on. I had an EXCELLENT experience at CJ Foreign Car Service. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. CJ foreign you re the BEST!!!!!!

Vladimir was extremely helpful in my time of need. My son's car was towed in from the dealership and Vladimir completed a thorough inspection of the car. He was honest regarding the diagnosis and the estimate was still quite reasonable although the vehicle was not worth the effort. There was a lot of towing involved and Vladimir was very patient with me. I would recommend their services to anyone in need. Amazing!! I was driving from PA to DC and my check engine light came on my Range Rover. These guys were nice enough to let me stop in and do a quick scan to make sure my car would be good to drive. They explained everything so well and made me feel very reassured!

I cannot think of a more honest and trustworthy repair shop in the DMV than CJ's. They do exceptional work for a fair price. Their management and techs are professional, polite and give you top notch service. If I could, they would be rated 10 stars! I've owned many cars and visited many, many repair shops over the past 50 years. Vlad is one of the best mechanics I've ever met. Not just his diagnostic and repair skills, but his willingness to explain problems and look for the best solution. An honest auto shop with friendly customer service? I'm sure you think such a utopia is impossible, but CJ Foreign Car (because of Vlad) really is that. I got my Porsche serviced here twice after failed repairs at Porsche Bethesda. During my 1st visit, Vlad identified a potentially costly issue (with the catalytic converter), but instead of telling me I had to pay the full amount ($6k) to fix the issue, he looked for cheaper alternatives, and saved me nearly $3k on a solution that still addressed the problem and allowed my car to pass inspection. He totally could have made more money off of me, but he actively didn't. He cared for me personally, and wanted me to get the best deal possible.During my 2nd visit, Vlad identified an issue with my right rear axle. He ordered in the parts to perform the repair, but when he ran into a problem with a parts mismatch (that wasn't his fault), he was forthcoming/honest about it and recommended I bring the car to a dealer instead. Once again, Vlad wasn't out to make money off me, and instead was honest, caring, and wanted me to get the best repair possible (even if it wasn't with him).The labor charges at CJ can't be beat at any other shop I've been to in the DMV area. If you want honest service that cares more about you than making money off you, I highly recommend CJ and Vlad. People like Vlad are a reminder of the good of humanity, and I will continue to use CJ as my go-to auto shop going forward.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I used this shop for the first time last week and had brake pads and rotors replaced on all four corners of my VW Golf Mk6 along with a brake fluid flush. The quality of work was good, the job was completed on time, the price was fair, and they did exactly what I asked for without trying to upsell me on a bunch of other unnecessary jobs. One of the few times I left a car shop feeling satisfied instead of frustrated! Very glad to have found this shop and will definitely come back.Service: Brakes

I've been going here for about 3 years and have never been disappointed with the level of service. Vlad and the team have a great understanding of Audi's and consistently find the best (and cheapest) way to do your repair. He's honest and smart, which leads to a reliable, dependable, and well run shop. Highly recommend for german car servicing and repairs.

I took my 2002 BMW 330ci to Vlad last month.Vlad is good, honest, responsive, andknowledgeable mechanic and he a good communicator. He was highly recommended by my friend who took her 5 series here for years. I am kicking myself for not going sooner.When I got there all I saw only BMWs being fixed so I knew I was in the right place. I explained the problems and he wrote them all down.Later in the day he called to explain in detail what he had found, how long it would take to fix and how much is would cost. His price was far below the dealership and what I was expecting.When I got the car back it drove better than it had in months. I am very happy with the service at CJ and I just found my mechanic for life!The shop is in a convenient location in downtown Silver Spring.

I highly recommend CJ Foreign Car for servicing your BMW or Mercedes cars. They will diagnose and provide an estimate that is fair and reasonable; I have not been disappointed with any of the services or repairs they have performed on my cars. I have been a customer for decades. They will perform the same repairs the dealer performs at significantly lower costs. The original owner of the shop has passed down a legacy that continues today.

Vlad and his team fixed my 2008 Porsche Cayman. It needed a lot of suspension parts to be replaced, new brakes, water pump etc. Now my car is driving great. I brought my other German cars to get repaired and I ve always been satisfied with the work.

Vlad and his team always do me right when servicing my A3. The prices are fair and they really know their stuff. Whether it s an oil change or major maintenance, I ve always left pleased with my experience.While I ve moved away from the silver spring area, I still make the trip to CJs. A 40 minute drive is well worth the caliber of service they offer.

I had repair work beyond an oil change. I was made aware of the required work and cost and was given a timeline for completion. My experience with CJ Foreign Car has been quite strong. My parents had been bringing their Audi there for years and always had great things to say about the shop. Prices are reasonable, work is done in no time and they are friendly. And friendliness is important. Sometimes you don't know what kind of personality you're going to get at an auto repair shop. In addition to this, they literally rebirthed an older Mercedes given to me by a relative. The price was right, they were able to locate a transmission for it, which is rare since the car is so old. I just like this place.

New to Silver Spring, I needed to find a mechanic to correct an issue with my BMW 1 series convertible. I chose CJ s based largely on the reviews here and couldn t have been happier. Experienced with BMWs, they quickly diagnosed the problem. Work was done quickly at a reasonable price. They even met me on a Saturday, when the shop is normally closed, as I was unable to pick up the car during the week. I give much Kudos. I was skeptical bc of past experience and everyone cant work in VW, CCs. I had oil leak in a problem area. Then I needed a water pump that I didnt know about. They fixed what they saw and not just fix bc the dealer had told me. There were a couple of things done complimentary. Who gets that service now days? It took a couple of days but they communicated with me. They dropped me off and picked me up from Metro. Last but not least, the charge I couldn't have gotten any better. All done was much less than the dealer and they were personable, confident, concise. I will recommend this shop. The work was done over a year ago with no problems to date.
