Carlos is great - I took my 2015 VW golf for brake work and coolant flush. He was communicative throughout the process, quoted very fair prices, got the work done quickly, and explained what kind of maintenance I will need in the coming months and what the costs are. He is very knowledgeable and I will definitely be taking my car back here for regular work.

I have had my Volkswagen since 2013. Carlos has been the best, fastest, and most helpful mechanic to ever work on my car. Silver Spring Darcars tried to rip me off and quoted me $9,500. Carlos was able to fix what needed to be done for 1,655. He is honest and explained each repair that was needed.Other than when I lived in Annapolis, MD. I have never encountered a mechanic as reliable, fast, honest and kind as Carlos.If you are thinking of taking your car to Forest Glen BP Mechanics, do it. I recently came into possession of a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. I asked around to see who in my area does MD State Safety Inspections. I was referred to Carlos at Forest Glen BP by several local mechanics who aren t setup to do state safety inspections. After talking to Carlos, he told me to bring it in the following Tuesday. So I dropped it off early on Tuesday and was surprised that the inspection was completed by 11:00am. It needed several things and Carlos found them all and explained what it needed. He s fair and very thorough. After the repairs were completed I was presented with a safety inspection certificate stating that the truck had passed. I would not hesitate to take another car to this shop for safety inspection or for any other mechanical work. Great experience and so glad to have such a good shop in my neighborhood.

When I came back from a restaurant, my car was completely dead, and I parked it on the main street of downtown DC. It was the first time I met Carlos. Carlos quickly identified the problems. My vehicle had mechanical issues. . He gave me options, recommended less expensive solutions, and repaired my car within a few days. Another thing I like about him is he is friendliness. I had an absolutely great experience here! The staff member that assisted me was Mr. Carlos, he was extremely knowledgeable as well as transparent. Additionally, the prices were very reasonable compared to other places that I'd received quotes at for the same services. I have taken my cars to Carlos here for years. One 2002 Mercedes s430 and two separate 2005 camrys. He is amazing. He takes my time apart from my car seriously, shown by his efficiency and accuracy about how long needed services will take him. He has known both types of cars I've had very well and given me very honest input and advice when my cars were not worth having him fix vs getting a new used car. I appreciate that honesty so much. He never even judges me for being terrible about regular maintenance, even when I judge myself! They were suggested by a friend who also had a good experience. I was able to drop off my car the night before. They called around 9:30 with the diagnosis and it was done by 1:30. I'm very impressed with their speed and customer service. It's easy to be dismissed as a woman but I didn't experience that here.The car drives great. I got my Maryland Vehicle Inspection done here, and I cannot recommend them enough.Very efficient and professional, and Carlos is one of the nicest people ever. They are helpful and understanding, and took the time to explain what issues my car had and needed to be fixed. When I came back for the re-inspection they finished it in a couple of hours and gave me a call to come pick up my car.

Got my state inspection done at this location and had a great experience! I was initially very nervous about choosing a reputable location to get my inspection done but this location had great reviews and I can certainly see why. Drop off was really convenient for my work schedule and the inspection was done pretty quickly. I did need to replace my tires but they did not charge me for a re-inspection and were able to re-check my car in less than 10 minutes so I could get my paperwork for the MVA. Overall, the process was pretty painless. Highly recommend this place!

I went here to get my Maryland safety inspection done so that I can register my vehicle. Carlos was super helpful and worked with my schedule so that I can drop of my car between work hours and got it done very quickly. After I didn't pass the inspection he was very nice and worked with me to get the windshield wipers replaced at no additional cost so that my car was able to pass the test. Carlos saved me more than $13,000! After Jim Coleman Nissan told me I needed a whole new transmission for my 2010 Nissan Murano, I took it to Carlos for a second opinion. In two hours he diagnosed why my car was hesitating when I pushed on the gas pedal and fixed it! All for $150. He's honest, and really knows his stuff, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The car runs great now!

Excellent experience with Carlos and this auto shop! I moved to MD and needed to get a safety inspection. Turns out the breaks on my Fiat 500 were shot. Carlos explained everything - and said my car would pass inspection with just break pad replacement but recommended I change the rotors as well as for my safety. Little surprise, but it's not easy finding parts for Fiat 500s (they were discontinued in the US in 2019). The day before my inspection expired, I called Carlos in a panic to fix my breaks. Carlos squeezed me in, managed to track down the breaks, had one of his mechanics rush across town to pick them up, install them and had my car ready and through state inspection in just a couple hours! I hate to share the secret with everyone else but I feel like I do need to let everyone know that Carlos is one of the most brilliant mechanics ever met.I was driving my kids back from Whitetail mountain in an ice storm and went through a flooded section of 270, traveling 60 miles an hour in my BMW 328. I felt like we had an object but it was just the wall of water that thankfully we skidded out of safely. Drove home without a problem but the next day the car could not turn hard right without a horrible grinding noise.Carlos took everything apart and gave me the estimate that it would cost if I replaced things the way the dealer would suggest which was over $5000. He got it done for under $2000. Complete front axle overhaul, 2 day job, however because of his background working on these cars he s able to replace just what is needed and make the repairs himself. Does it take him a little longer to get the job done so don t expect your car back immediately, being patient but trust Carlos and he will find a way that is far cheaper for you and extremely high quality work.

My best mechanic ever! Will go here with all my family's car problems. I have nothing but good things to say about Carlos and his team: no issue is too big or too small for them. The prices are good, the service is with a smile and a little chat. Moving from Virginia and bringing two cars, we needed two MD inspections. This shop is a smooth operation: quiet, orderly, polite and cheerful. I knew both cars were in good maintenance and this was confirmed. (Carlos complimented ME on the condition of both cars.) Scheduling and logistics for both cars was easy and logical. I will look here first for any maintenance work that may be needed.

My experience was amazing! I came there on a rainy day on a whim since my tire kept leaking. Not only did they squeezed me in and go my car out in the same day. Not only that, but Carlos was so nice, having a nice conversation with me and even explaining what was wrong with my car. This isn t the first time I m come without an appointment, and they take care of me each and every time.Some repair shops are out for money and charge you just to breathe but this location do not do that, they take care of their customers!Service: Tires

Carlos was a great help to us in the safety inspection and approval process for an out-of-state car (older BMW) from Connecticut we have just purchased. His observations about the intricacies of MVA requirements and timing, especially with respect to the greater expectations one needs to be aware of in bringing a car into Maryland (e.g. scrupulous window tinting regulations and enforcement, which came to us out of left field!). Carlos possesses a wealth of technical knowledge, is a stickler for detail, is determined to follow the letter of the law, and fields any number of questions you might have. And he appears to love what he is doing! With his help we came through all this in great shape. He has our highest praise as an honest and worthy man. I am sure we will return to Carlos again when the need arises.
